Patch 2.2.0
  • Support for the official patch 1.0.3.
  • Added a major decision which allows you to convert the existing holdings in any of historical baronies into a Metropolis holding. (Alexandria, Antioch, Baghdad, Constantinople, Cordoba, Roma, and Jerusalem)
The regular buildings will not be converted except for the finished special/unique buildings.
  • Added a major decision which allows you to convert your capital holding into a Metropolis. The regular buildings will not be converted except possibly the finished special/unique buildings. This decision can only be passed once.
  • Reduced the base cost of Metropolis holdings from 40 000 down to 20 000.
  • Gave a decent nerf to local tax and manpower modifiers provided by the Theodosian Walls duchy building. This was done to better keep Constantinople in line with the other Metropolises. Constantinople should still have more tax and manpower than in vanilla.
  • A very minor tax nerf for the Metropolises.
  • Added the Metropolis holding as a game concept in the in-game encyclopedia.
  • Made additional localization improvements.

Update: 2 Sep, 2020 @ 4:13pm

Hotfix 2.1.1
  • Fixed another under the hood localization issue which I had overlooked.

If anyone experiences crashes/issues when you load your save games after a COW2 update, make sure that both the Workshop and Paradox Launcher have updated the mod properly.
  1. You can do this simply by starting a new game with COW2 enabled, and check if all the Metropolis holdings are present in Alexandria, Antioch, Baghdad, Constantinople, Cordoba, Roma, and Jerusalem.
  2. You can also access the construct a new holding interface and see if the Metropolis holding is there along with Castle, City, and Temple holding.
  3. If you discover any issues try resubscribing to the mod.
