Removals
  • Temporarily removed duchy capital bug fixes.
  • Temporarily removed mod-added title cultural names and other changes to vanilla landed titles.
Misc. changes
  • Made it so that the House of Wisdom in Baghdad cannot be (re)built in the 1337 start date.
  • Renamed Kievan Rus' (936) to Kyivan Rus' to match CK3 1.5.1.
  • In the English localization, changed non-dynastic name of Pagan to Myanmar.
Culture changes
  • Made Chagatai and Sogdian start with bombards in 1337.
  • Gave a +20 starting acceptance bonus between Kurds and Lurs.
  • Changed Gothic locative dynasty prefix from "of" to "af", added Turciling and Amaling to its dynasty name list, and added Odoacer to its personal name list.
  • Made Khitan and Tuyuhun have a different language, Xianbei, due to linguistic evidence that Khitan and Tuyuhun weren't directly Mongolic but of a related separate "Para-Mongolic" (or "Serbi") family (Serbi is an ancient Chinese pronunciation of Xianbei); Xianbei was picked over Serbi to avoid confusion with Serbian.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Partially updated to 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 (unfinished).
  • Changed Damot rulers from Ethiopian/Coptic to Welayta/Waaqi.
  • Changed Hadiya rulers (of the "Getachew" dynasty) from Coptic to Ash'ari.
  • Renamed Přemysl I and II of Bohemia to Přemysl-Otakar (hyphen instead of space so that the regnal number doesn't go between the names).
  • Renamed the Svacić dynasty to Snačić, and gave Petar Snačić an unpressed claim on Croatia in 1081.
  • Changed Aghlabids from Ash'ari to Mu'tazili.
  • Reverted many 867 Maturidi characters to their faith from vanilla (Ash'ari), and likewise changed some Maturidi characters to Ash'ari for 936.
  • Changed Hamdanids from Ash'ari to Twelver.
  • Changed Kilabids from Isma'ili to Twelver.
  • Changed one of the 1337 vassals of the Egypt from Maturidi to Ash'ari.
  • Reduced 1337 Hormuz ruler's starting gold bonus from 5000 to 500.
  • Made Khwarezmids have Gurganj as their capital at game start in 1187 and 1204, and made Transoxiana the primary title in 1204 instead of Iran.
  • Made Safavid event troops un-inheritable.
Province history changes
  • Partially updated to 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 (unfinished).
  • Changed Showa from Coptic to Ash'ari.
  • Changed Saimara, Masabadhan, and Bailaqan from Ash'ari to Maturidi in 1066 and later.
  • Changed Baghdad and Basra to Mu'tazili in 867 and 936.
  • Changed Tokharestan from Afghan to Sogdian (867)/Khorasani.
  • Changed Aghlabid realm from Ash'ari to Mu'tazili.
  • Reverted many Maturidi provinces to their faith from vanilla (Ash'ari) in 867/936, though in 936 Buyid Iran is changed to Mu'tazili, which seems to have been somewhat popular there in that time.
  • Changed Qom and Karbala to Twelver in all dates, and Nishapur to Twelver in 1066 and later.
  • In 936, changed a couple Qarmatian provinces in Iraq back to Isma'ili.
  • Changed Badakhshan region to Sogdian in 867 and 936.
  • Fixed Dihistan not being Oghuz in 1066 and later (I accidentally commented that line out).
  • Changed Alcañiz from Catalan to Aragonese in 1337.
Title history changes
  • Partially updated to 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 (unfinished).
  • Elevated Showa's rulers to duchy rank in 1187 and 1204, and replaced its rulers in those dates. Showa is also now part of Ifat in 1337 instead of Abyssinia.
  • Changed Damot to tribal.
  • Changed Croatia's capital to Knin in 1081.
  • Adjusted some development values in some counties in Europe in 1337.
  • Made the Khurshidis independent in 1187.
  • In 936, gave Hamdanids the kingdom of Jazira, and made the Hadhabanids their vassal.
  • Switched Kilabid brothers' counties in 936.
  • In 936, gave Alī ibn Būya the kingdom of Iran, and made Hasan ibn Būya a vassal of Alī. Alī ibn Būya and his nephew Pannāh Khosrow are now also in the title history of the Iranian Empire (from 945 to 949, and 949 to 983, respectively).
  • In 936, moved Imran ibn Shahin's location to Ahvaz, and made Ruzbahan a vassal of the Buyids where Imran used to be.
  • In 936, moved Shukhar from the Abbasids to the Kilabids.
  • Made Barcelona and Gascony vassals of West Francia in 936.
  • Made Aragon not de jure yet in 936 (and enabled the decision to create Aragon in 936).
  • For historical reasons, made Aragon de jure part of Navarre instead of Valencia in the early dates.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed Oghuz and Turkish starting with Caballeros in 1187 and later.
  • Fixed typo in Ruthenian dynasty name Khmelnytskyi (was Kmhelnytskyi).

Update: 5 Mar, 2022 @ 3:20pm

Additions
  • Made Genghis Khan playable again. Note: if playing as him in 1187 instead of 1204, you now have to manually use the decision "Become the Greatest of Khans". Please play as him in 1204 (I still have Temüjin automatically become Genghis Khan there, because 1204 is very close to 1206).
  • Added Illyrian culture, not used by any counties or characters, but used as a parent culture for Albanian and Dalmatian (which is a hybrid with Roman); cf. CK3's Langobard culture added in the 1.5 update as a parent culture for Lombard. Like Durdzuk, which is in the mod but unused, this culture will not be acknowledged on the mod's description page.
  • Added independent count of Talish in 1337, representing the Ispahbad of Gilan (which corresponds closer to CK3's county of Talish than to CK3's county of Gilan). Not enough info about the Ispahbads for them to be included in earlier dates.
  • German localization only: added cultural name for Prussia when held by a ruler of Saxon, Franconian, Bavarian, or Swabian culture (becomes Preußen instead of Pruzzen).
  • Added several Ruthenian and Belarusian cultural names (not used in the Russian localization).
  • Added aesthetic bundle for Turkish, for use with manually diverged Turkic cultures in Asia Minor.
  • Added coat of arms of Volodymyr.
Misc. changes
  • Made it so that AI kings of Norway will not ahistorically adopt Scandinavian Elective if it is their primary title (unlike Sweden and Denmark, Norway was not an elective monarchy in the Middle Ages).
  • Changed Ahvenanmaa from the Norse cultural name of Åland to the Finnish cultural name.
  • In the English localization, changed Fes's adjective from Fesian to Fassi, and changed the barony's name from Fès to Fas (French name of Fes is irrelevant for the medieval period, but I still kept the general idea of using a different language name for the barony, this time using the Arabic/Berber name).
  • Renamed Gran Canaria to just Canaria (the classical name), as "Gran" would not be applied to the island's name until it was conquered by Castile late into CK3's timespan.
  • Updated name equivalency file to include additions from CK3 1.5, and merged Job and Ayyub.
  • Adjusted some Baltic place names: Tartu --> Tarbatu (barony)/Ugandi (county), Livs --> Sakala, Reval --> Revala, Narva (county) --> Virumaa, Ösel --> Saaremaa, Wesenburg [sic] --> Tarvanpää, Talava --> Tālava, Aluksne --> Alūksne, Selpils --> Sēlpils (barony)/Selonia (county), Vidzeme --> Metsepole, Raigane --> Ragainė, Kernave --> Kernavė, Semigalia --> Semigallia. Reval, Ösel, and Wesenberg are still cultural names.
  • Moved Courland's coat of arms to Semigallia, and gave a new coat of arms to Courland.
  • Assigned specific baronies for some holy sites.
  • Adjusted 1337 Upper Burgundy's coat of arms (changed color of crown from red to yellow).
  • Made Riga a German cultural name of Metsepole.
  • Made "the Terrible" not be considered a bad nickname.
  • Made Turkish empresses be called "Hatun" instead of "Sultana al-Muazzam".
Culture changes
  • The mod no longer overwrites the following vanilla cultures: Frisian, Old Saxon, Ilmenian, Severian, Volhynian, and Mon. The modifications to pillars or traditions were moved to an effect run at game start. Several other cultures are still overwritten, because they cannot be modified in the way I want them to (changing color or setting parent culture) without overwriting them.
  • Changed Tatar culture's creation date from 1227 to 1236.
  • Gave Persian and Khorasani (Tajik) a +50 boost in starting acceptance so that they treat each other as the same at game start.
  • Gave Baloch a +10 starting cultural acceptance modifier with Sindhi.
  • Changed one of Scots culture's parents from Cumbrian to Gaelic, because, while the Scots language developed in a formerly Cumbric speaking area, lowland Scottish culture was much more influenced by the Gaels than by the Cumbrians.
  • Changed a few names on the Kurdish name list (Davud --> Dawid, Eyyub --> Eyûb, Yousef --> Yûsif, Ebrahim --> Îbrahîm).
  • Changed Shatuo heritage from Chinese to Turkic, and switched heritage and language of Ongud (now Turkic heritage and Mongolic language); also made Ongud have Shatuo as a parent.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Gave Kazimierz the Great unpressed claims on Gdańsk, Świecie, and Chełmno.
  • Gave Özbeg Khan fixed traits and stats.
  • Made the 1337 Chupanid ruler start with 3000 extra levies so that the Chupanids are somewhat closer in power to the Jalayirids (whom they historically defeated in a war in 1338).
  • Made Temüjin immune to disease.
  • Made Ayyubids start knowing Arabic in 1187, 1204, and 1337, and not just Saladin (1187)/Saphadin (1204).
  • Gave fixed traits to Gediminas, and gave him an unpressed claim on Semigallia, since he called himself "Duke of Semigallia".
  • Switched order of the two parts of the name of Saladin's father.
Province history changes
  • Changed some counties around Lake Baikal to Uriankhai (except in 1337), to represent the Sakha/Yakuts, who were there before they were driven north by the Mongols.
  • Made Kurdar and Gurganj stay Khwarezmian in start dates before 1337.
  • Made Oshrusana and Khojand stay Sogdian in all start dates, Zarafshan and Nasaiya stay Sogdian until 1187 (they convert to Khorasani), and Isfara stay Sogdian until 1337 (it converts to Khorasani).
  • Changed Rasht, Khuttal, Wakhsh, and Chaghaniyan from Chagatai to Khorasani in 1337.
  • Changed Shughnan, Karran, Badakhshan, Munjan, and Wakhan from Afghan to Khorasani.
  • Changed Talish from Nizari to Imami in 1187 and later.
  • Changed Vanemane to Estonian (representing Livonian).
  • Changed Semigallia, Selonia, Sambia, and Scalovia to pagan in 1337.
Title history changes
  • Adjusted some development values.
  • Made the Muzaffarid ruler in 1337 have more counties in his domain.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed mod-added starting cultural acceptance modifiers not functioning.
  • Fixed Hvitserk house not being set for characters properly due to a typo I made.

Update: 28 Feb, 2022 @ 2:58pm

Additions
  • Re-added Otto the Great story events, now implemented somewhat differently.
  • Re-enabled decision to create Turkish culture for players with Royal Court enabled (previously, the decision was disabled if the DLC was enabled).
  • Added coat of arms of Klaipėda/Memel.
Misc. changes
  • Changed yearly pulse on_actions to events to avoid overwriting the file.
  • Changed Dutch names Ijsbrand and Ijsbrecht to IJsbrand and IJsbrecht.
  • Made Otto's Italy event grant the Pope positive opinion of Otto increase likelihood of HRE forming (in real life, he went to war with Italy at the pope's request).
  • Changed Hrodna cultural name of Grodno to only be for Belarusian and not for Rus', Ruthenian, or Great Russian.
  • Made it so that the Ilkhanate starts with Male Preference instead of Male Only, so that the Khagan of Mongolia isn't the Ilkhan's heir.
  • Removed House of Wisdom from Baghdad in 1337, because it was destroyedby the Mongols in 1258; CK3 doesn't seem to allow removing the special building slot, so it can still be rebuilt.
Culture changes
  • Made a few more cultures have innovations unlocked in later start dates instead of starting with 1066 tech.
  • Made Mashriqi and Maghrebi start with Bombards in 1337.
  • Added some starting cultural acceptance modifiers for Ruthenian (+20 with Polish), Belarusian (+20 with Lithuanian), Drevlian (-30 with Rus'), and Turkish (-95 with Greek).
  • Made Lithuanian start with Primogeniture in 1337.
  • Replaced Mendicant Mystics with Maritime Mercantilism for Great Russian, to represent the Novgorod Republic's ties with the Hanseatic League.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Added father and grandfather of Arghun Shah (Nasa 1337) to character history.
  • Designated Jaunutis as the primary heir of Lithuania in 1337 for historical reasons (though a pagan heir makes Lithuania more likely to be destroyed by its neighbors).
  • Made Wilhelm (firstborn son of Otto the Great) have the Devoted trait.
  • Removed automatic alliance between Otto the Merry (Carinthia 1337) and John of Luxembourg (Bohemia 1337).
  • Designated Henry de Gromont, first duke of Lancaster as the heir for Alice de Lacy of Lincolnshire (1337), because this was something agreed upon before the start date, she can't have children, and it prevents the title from being inherited by a count in Galicia (unless Henry dies first).
  • Reduced amount of special soldiers given to Togha Temür from 5000 to 750.
  • Reduced amount of special soldiers given to the Safavids from 3000 to 2000.
  • Corrected Sallarids from Kurdish to Caspian (Daylamite).
  • Gave Sarbadars 1000 special soldiers in 1337 so that they can defend against the Kartids more easily.
  • Fixed Robert of Naples not having his spouse set in 1337.

  • Changed Upper Khabur to Syriac/Orthodox before 1187.
  • Changed Asfi to Maghrebi in 1187 and later, and Fes to Baranis.
Title history changes
  • Made Edward III of England hold fewer duchies (no longer holds Deheubarth, Lancaster, or York). Jean Lackland of England also no longer holds Deheubarth.
  • Removed a few 1337 rulers' automatic claims on some vassal titles.
  • Removed kingdom title from the Almohads in 1187/1204, leaving them with only the empire title.
  • Adjusted Castilian title history to fix regnal number of Alfonso XI (Leonese kings are counted in regnal numbers of the crown of Castile).
  • Fixed accidental changes in Persia 1187.
  • Adjusted Iranian borders in 1337.
  • Adjusted Ortokid borders in 1337, and made the Ayyubids independent.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed incorrect government type for Arghun Shah (Nasa) in 1337 (was incorrectly feudal instead of clan).
  • Fixed typo that resulted in Embrace Turkish Culture decision not copying innovations from Greek.

Update: 25 Feb, 2022 @ 5:06pm

Additions
  • Added St. George and the dragon emblem to coat of arms designer.
  • Added the German throne dispute between Philip of Swabia and Otto of Brunswick as a civil war in 1204. With how I set it up, Otto of Brunswick will most likely lose.
  • Added Adhari (Azeri) culture and Luri culture. Adhari has Iranian language as a pillar because the majority of Azeris still spoke an Iranian language until the 15th century.
  • Added French, Norman, Occitan, and Arpitan cultural name of Saida (Sidon).
  • Added aesthetics bundles for Ruthenian, Belarusian, and Great Russian, for use in manually diverged cultures.

  • Differentiated coat of arms of the county of Moskva from that of Muscovy by using the modern blue color of St. George's cape for Moskva and the historical yellow color for Muscovy.
  • Changed game start actions to an event so that I no longer overwrite the whole file, and changed how the religious head titles are set for Muwalladism and Zaydism so that I no longer overwrite the Islam religion.
  • Renamed Daylamite to Caspian, since it represents several ethnicities and not just Daylamites; the new name comes from the linguistic subgroup.
  • Renamed Tajik to Khorasani, since Tajik is somewhat anachronistic.
  • Renamed the Kingdom of Daylam to Caspia (placeholder name), since Daylam was a small region therein (roughly the in-game county of Qazwin).
  • Renamed Persia to Iran and Persian Empire to Iranian Empire (English localization only).
  • Changed it so that East Slavic duchies are called principalities instead of grand principalities, except for Kiev.
  • Renamed Shabankarai dynasy to Shabankara.

  • Implemented Adhari and Luri.
  • Made Reggio Calabria and Lecce stay Greek/Orthodox in all start dates.
  • Changed Mazandaran from Zaydi to Imami.
  • Changed Beirut from Orthodox to Catholic in 1187 and later, and changed its culture to Syriac in all dates.
  • Changed Tripoli from Orthodox/Ash'ari to Imami in 1187 and later.
  • Made Ravenna stay Cisalpine in all start dates, instead of becoming Italian in the year 900.
  • Changed Philippopolis to Paulician in 1066, 1081, 1187, and 1204.
Title history changes
  • Made Otto IV of the HRE appear in the title history of York and Poitou.
  • Made Otto IV of the HRE hold the Brunswick area in 1204.
  • Moved Khurshidis from Zanjan to Masabadhan (modern Lorestan Province) in 1187 and later.
  • Moved Kermanshah to the Chobanids in 1337 (possibly incorrect).

  • Decreased size of Sarbadars and increased size of Kartids in 1337.
  • Added two realms to 1337 Iran.
  • Gave Togrul III Seljuk in 1187 a kingdom title (regnal number is wrong because the Seljuk title history is inaccurate at the moment).

Update: 14 Feb, 2022 @ 5:06pm

Additions
  • Added separate title for the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia in 1204 and 1337, splitting it from Armenia.
  • Added coat of arms for Lebanon/Tripoli.
  • Re-added some missing game start actions for the 1187 start date that I forgot to carry over, namely the Laudabiliter modifier being applied to House Plantagenet and AI Saladin automatically declaring a holy war for Palestine.
  • Added mod's coat of arms colored emblems to COA designer.
Misc. changes
  • Switched colors of Nancy and Trier, and colors of Spreewald and Jüterbog.
  • Changed the duchy of Opolye's de jure capital from Yaroslavl (most dates)/Moscow (1337) to Vladimir in all start dates.
  • Changed it so that AI sultans of Rum or the Ottoman State will not create certain kingdom titles. The reason is that Paradox has hard-coded it in 1.5 so that AI won't have titular titles as primary regardless of the priority I have set, which broke some flavor stuff in the mod for the Ottomans.
  • Instead of Tripoli/Galilee names of Lebanon/Urdunn being start date dependent, instead made them cultural names for French, Occitan, and Norman.
  • Removed eagle from coat of arms of house Danilovich (Muscovite Rurikids), as the eagle wouldn't come into use by Muscovy until Ivan III (after CK3's timespan).
  • Changed Muscovite's coat of arms to an image of St. George and the dragon (still doesn't fit CK3's art style, but this image's simpler art style looks better than the previous one I used).
  • Changed Přemyslid coat of arms.
  • Re-added change to Sicilian culture spread event to exclude Malta so it stays Maghrebi unless changed manually.
  • Made independent Serbian rulers be called princes and independent Serbian duchies be called principalities.
Culture changes
  • Reimplemented some of the mod's slightly altered name lists.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Renamed "Mahdi" (twelfth Twelver Imam) to his actual name, Muhammad (Mahdi is a title).
  • Changed Twelver-exclusive Imams from Isma'ili to Imami (Twelver).
  • Made William de Montagu, earl of Salisbury (called Wiltshire in-game), be best friends with Edward III and be the guardian of Roger Mortimer.
  • Changed the Reginarids of Hesse (1337) into a cadet branch (von Hessen).
  • Gave "the Fat" nickname to Heinrich von Nordheim (margrave of Frisia 1099-1101).
  • Gave the future Charles IV of the HRE (duke of Moravia in 1337 start date) a claim on Lusatia, so that he will (in theory) revoke it from the margraves of Brandenburg if he becomes emperor, as in real life.
  • Changed Meinhardiner (Görz) to a cadet branch of Sieghardinger.
  • Changed pre-1204 Welfs from Bavarian to Frankish/Franconian for the early and Burgundian Welfs, and Swabian for the Swabian Welfs/younger house.

  • Gave Otto Welf (future Otto IV of the HRE) a claim on the HRE in 1187 and 1204.
  • Renamed Poitou dynasty to Poitiers.

  • Renamed Oghuz/Turkish characters named Suleyman to Süleyman, Ibrahim to İbrahim, Iskender to İskender, and Kasim to Kasım.
  • Connected Abu'l Qasim (Rum vassal in 1081) to Seljuk family tree (fictional connection because there is no info about Abu'l Qasim's familial ties to the Seljuks other than that he was a kinsman).
Map culture/religion layout changes

  • Changed Alexandretta to Armenian/Apostolic in 1066 and later, and changed Antioch to Mashriqi in 1066 and later.
  • Changed Borsod to Slovien in 1066 and later.
Title history changes
  • Updated history of the Isma'ili Caliphate to remove Twelver Imams, like the base game did.
  • Changed Frisia into a republic led by a fictional character in 1187 and 1204, since Frisian Freedom is traditionally considered to have already existed de facto (de jure jointly ruled by Utrecht and Holland).
  • Changed Frisia's 1066 holder from Oda von Babenberg to Ekbert Brunonen (margrave of Frisia), and Brunswick's 1066 holder from a fictional(?) "Theodoric di Roma" to the same Ekbert Brunonen (count of Brunswick). Frisia is also elevated to a duchy in 1081 (not done in 1066 because I want Ekbert to be a vassal of Saxony/Angria).
  • Changed Alpsee and Ravensberg to be held by the Welfs in 1066, 1081, and 1187 (owned by the emperor in 1204 and 1337).

  • Corrected name of Tall Hamid to Tall Halid.
  • Fixed Shayzar being a city holding.
  • Fixed primogeniture being applied to republic and theocracy rulers in 1337.
  • Fixed Belarusian culture using the wrong name list.
  • Fixed bug where artifacts at game start were doubled.

  • Changed the three historical Arpitan-cultured dynasties' names back to the vanilla names (Savouè --> Savoie, Forês --> Forez, Geneva --> Genève).
Map culture/religion layout changes
  • Changed Canavese from Cisalpine to Arpitan.
  • Changed Lyon to Waldensian in 1187 and 1204.

Update: 11 Feb, 2022 @ 3:47pm

This is an accelerated release in order to make it functional with the new update, and is not yet polished. Additionally, several changes to the base game history/database setup are not yet implemented.

Changes and additions due to Royal Court
  • Added cultural pillars and traditions to the mod's cultures (some are not final).
  • Set court languages.
  • Made some characters know multiple languages at start (e.g. the future Charles IV of the HRE knows Czech, High German, French, and Italian).
Removals
  • Removed historical holy orders from 1187, 1204, and 1337 due to issues.
  • Removed the mod's decision to create Turkish culture if the player has Royal Court, as it has been made obsolete (other than for aesthetics) by the DLC's hybrid culture feature. The mod's Turkish culture still exists in 1187 and later.
  • Temporarily removed Mongol invasion's modification for 1187/1204. As a result, Temüjin has been made unplayable in this version.
  • Temporarily removed Otto the Great story events.
Misc. changes
  • Changed Luxembourg's adjective from Luxembourgian to Luxembourgish.
  • Changed spelling of Cabarda to Kabarda.
  • Renamed Burgundian back to Arpitan, since Paradox uses that name in unmodded CK3 now as a predefined custom culture name with Royal Court, so I don't think it is as "wrong" to use the name anymore.
  • (English localization only) Kept Brunswick's name as-is instead of changing it to Braunschweig like vanilla CK3 did, and instead made Braunschweig the cultural name for Swabian, Bavarian, and Franconian.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Changed several dynasties to cadet dynasties to match the base game's changes.
  • Split old house of Luxemburg (cadet of Karling dynasty) from the 1337 start date one (cadet of Limburg dynasty). The 1337 one also has a different coat of arms, featuring the red lion in front of the stripes.
  • Made John of Luxembourg (1337) friends with Philip VI of France.
  • Added Toghun Temür's favorite concubine, (Empress Qi/Gi, aka Öljei Khutugh), in 1337 as his concubine and soulmate. She is represented as Han instead of Korean because there is no Korean culture in the game.
  • Changed Iranian Mongols in 1337 from Persian to Mongol (Jalayirids and Ilkhanate now have Persian court language instead, though Chobanids and Injuids don't get royal courts).
  • Changed Galloway dynasty characters from Scots to Gaelic.
  • Changed one of Ivan Kalita's traits from Greedy to Patient.
  • Made the kings of Hungary and Poland start as allies in 1337.
Map culture/religion layout changes
  • Changed Vaspurakan from Kurdish/Ash'ari to Armenian/Apostolic in 1187 and later.
  • Made several provinces not be Khitan in 1187/1204 (they stay Karluk instead).
  • Changed Zaragoza and Calatayud from Andalusian to Aragonese in 1066/1081.
Title history changes
  • Changed Groningen to Frisian before 1337.
  • Made Brandenburg stay de jure Pomerania so it is harder to form.
Bug fixes
  • Fixed count in Kanem-Bornu being independent (again).

Update: 6 Feb, 2022 @ 6:09pm

Fixed a count who is supposed to be part of Kanem-Bornu being independent in 1337.

Additions
  • Added coats of arms for the Scala dynasty (Verona 1337), Caimbeul dynasty (Argyll 1337), Randolph dynasty (Moray 1337), and the county of Cres.
  • Added French localization for Ottoman Byzantine decision and Rus' cultural split event.
  • Added Dalmatian cultural name of Cres (Crepsa).
Misc. changes
  • Changed it so that dukes of Verona don't have house seniority succession by default in 1187 and later.
  • Renamed Slovak back to Slovien (I had changed it to avoid confusion with Slovene, but I forgot to change it back after I renamed Slovene to Windic). Note: in the Russian localization, I changed the collective noun from the vanilla game's Словенцы to Словене.
  • Renamed Windic to Carantanian.
  • Changed (Scottish) Gaelic equivalent of William from Uilliam to Uilleam, and added a few names to the personal name list.
  • Renamed Avaric culture in German and Russian to Dagestanisch/Дагестанский in order to distinguish from the Pannonian Avars. English, French, and Spanish use slightly different names so the name was left unchanged in thsoe languages.
Character and dynasty changes
  • Reduced number of traits of some historical characters to meet CK3's standard of three personality traits.
  • Made English nobility be Norman/French for a few more generations, which affects 1187 and 1204. 1337 characters are still English.
  • Removed 1066 easter egg character Jakob von Bärenburg's claim on Brene, since Brene's holder in the mod is no longer the other easter egg character associated with him (Otger Renart), meaning it doesn't make sense for Jakob von Bärenburg to have said claim anymore.
  • Gave nicknames to some Georgian rulers, to Edgar the Peaceable ("the Peaceful"), and to Stefan the First-Crowned ("the Crowned").
  • Made Toghrul of the Keraits have the nickname "Wang Khan" in the 1187 start date, rather than it only being given to him in 1199; also made him friends and negotiated allies with Temüjin.
  • Changed the Nuremburg Hohenzollerns from Swabian to Franconian in 1337.
  • Changed van Cuijk dynasty Arnsberg counts from Franconian to Saxon.
  • Changed Frankish ruler of Besançon in 867 to Burgundian (probably an oversight by Paradox that he was Frankish).
  • Changed some Scottish characters from Scots to Gaelic, correcting an oversight for characters born after the 1066 start date.
  • Changed rulers of the Isle of Man in 1187/1204 from Norwegian to Gaelic.
  • Renamed "mac in tSagairt" dynasty to "ua Beólláin".
Map culture/religion layout changes
  • Changed Dublin from English culture to Irish culture in 1187 and later.
  • Made Belebey Mogyër/Táltosist as a nod to Friar Julian's report of Hungaria Magna.
  • Changed Pskov to Orthodox in 1337.
Title history changes
  • Made Mastino II of Verona the duchy holder in 1337 instead of his elder brother Alberto (they were co-rulers, but Mastino did more). Moved Brescia to Verona in 1337.
  • Improved Georgia in 1337 by expanding its borders, changing holder of some counties in east Georgia, and adding another vassal. Also improved Georgia's borders in 1187 and 1204.
  • Manually set Georgia's capital to the county Odishi (barony of Kutaisi) in 1066 and 1081 (though AI will most likely move it immediately).
  • Made Shirvan independent in 1187.
  • Renamed the duchy of Abkhazia to Imereti in 1337.
  • Made Kaiserslautern the capital of the HRE in 1187 (most sensible option, in my opinion) instead of having the game automatically select one.
  • Changed Colmar's holder in 1187 and 1204 the holders of Strassburg (placeholder, but makes more sense than being part of the Palatinate).
  • Made Bamberg directly owned by the emperor in 1187 and 1204 instead of being part of the Palatinate.
  • In 1337, made Colmar a single-county republic, and made Strasbourg a prince-bishopric (didn't control city itself but had most of the game's county). Colmar may change in the future, since it is the only free imperial city I have as an in-game county (normally I use the person who controlled most of the game's county).
  • Made Worms be owned by the prince-bishops of Worms in 1187 and later.
  • Changed holder of Saarbrücken in 1081 and later to the counts of Saarbrücken (vassal of Lorraine).
  • Made Lobdaburg be ruled by Günther XXI von Schwarzburg, because it seems one of the branches of the Lobdeburgs sold their holdings to the counts of Schwarzburg in 1333. I don't currently include lords of Lobdeburg in 1187/1204, but I probably will in the future.
  • Corrected holders in Verona area in 1187 and 1204 to the margraves of Baden and Verona.
  • Changed Dessen's holder in 1187 and 1204 to the dukes of Saxony.
  • Changed the Chagatai Khanate from feudal to clan in 1337. Mongolia (i.e. the Yuan dynasty) is still feudal.
  • Made 936 duke of Bohemia not own the duchy of Moravia, and made vassals outside of Bohemia proper independent.
  • Split Moravia and Bohemia in 1187 (they were split from 1182 to 1189).
  • Added Vratislav II of Bohemia (r. 1061-1092) to the kingdom of Bohemia's title history from 1085 to his death.
  • Gave Mael-Íosa of Strathearn the duchy of the Northern Isles (representing jarldom of Orkney) in 1337 (counties themselves remain under Norwegian control because CK3 doesn't support being vassals of two lieges for different titles; therefore the title will be removed from him automatically under default rules).
  • Removed Kingdom of Kanem title from the Kanem-Bornu emperor in 1337, and kingdom of Mali title from Mansa Musa in 1337.
Bug fixes
  • Corrected rulers of Metz in 1187 and later from feudal to theocratic.
  • Fixed some errors in character history involving characters being the wrong gender or having parents assigned that do not exist.
  • Corrected a few dynasties not being cadet branches.
  • Fixed locative prefixes for Albanian and Coptic not being localized outside of English.

Update: 4 Feb, 2022 @ 5:15pm

Fixed an issue where I accidentally put a couple extra brackets in the landed titles file which messed up Volga-Ural's de jure situation.
