Februari 2025 Update
Blanket nerf to the various machine guns/cannons and simple rocket pods added in the 2.0 update.
  • Type A autocannon variants have lower muzzle velocity, smaller magazine sizes and slower fire rate. The explosive damagen and radius have both been reduced by roughly a third. Armour piercing and kinetic damage reduced. Cost remains the same. Shots per barrel decreased from 2 to 1, must have been an error on my part.
  • Type B autocannon variants caliber decreased from 180mm to 80mm. They still fire 8-component (640mm) shells. Burstreload increased from 5 to 6, inaccuracy increased slightly.
  • 40mm machine gun variants are slightly more inaccurate. Burstreload increased by one second. Reload increased slightly. Capacity reduced from 35 shots to 20 shots. Only once shot per barrel now. Damage multiplier decreased from 2 to 1.15
  • Gatling gun variants are slightly more inaccurate. Muzzle velocity, kinetic damage and AP lowered.
  • Simple rocket weapons have reduced explosive damage, muzzle velocity and explosive radius.

Experience in using these new weapon additions for some time has shown them to be powerful out of all proportion. These heavy nerfs should hopefully bring them back in line.

1st of May update
  • Added simple weapon variants of the internal bomb bays and their mirrors.

  • Added more variants of the 40mm HMG and Autocannon A and shifted the gun menus around to make navigation easier.

  • Fixed some overlap errors in the menu of the rocket based weapons

  • Tweaked the sound volume of the launches of the big rockets, they should now be louder.

  • Buffed the APS cluster bombs as they were quite underwhelming compared to the simple variants (time will tell if they are now too OP)

  • Several attempts to fix the delayed explosions issue mentioned by Metal_Messiah666_, but no luck so far.

  • Fixed several instances of the 'ArmourPiercing' variable being misspelled as 'ArmorPiercing'

Several fixes
  • Fixed the barrel rotation speed on the huge simple rocket hardpoint. Due to this coefficient being set to 0 it would never fire. This issue has been fixed now.

  • Increased the damage values and outputs on the big and huge simple rockets. The big rocket should now be about on par with the simple huge armour piercing bombs (a little less potent).

  • Added riplefire variants of the air to air dumbfire rocket pods (8 shots of 2 rockets apiece) and lowered the reload times of the AA rocket pods. This should make these weapons more viable during dogfights. If this proves to be too effective, I'll either up their price or lower their damage output.

  • Increased the firing angles on the larger rocket hardpoints and the 40mm HMGs from the gun selection.

  • A number of other minour tweaks and fixes to various weapon blocks. Mainly tweaking prices and increasing the firing angles. I notice that quite often planes have trouble getting firing solutions during attack runs and simply don't deploy their weapons.

Fixes for version 2.0
  • the maximum azimuth and elevation arcs on all the gun based weapons added in 2.0 have been increased from +-10 to +-25. If this is not yet enough, they will be increased further. Hopefully this should make the weapons more viable to use on manouverable fighters.
  • For the same reasons, the rotation speed of all these weapons has also been buffed from 20 to 50
  • The cooldown modifier of the aircraft cannon barrel block has also been fixed, it didn't actually do anything in its old form. It should now roughly halve the cooldown of smallish APS setups in your aircraft to help with burst firing.

Hotfix 2 for version 2.0
  • Fixed type B autocannon variants: setup angles, shell spawn distance, ...

  • Fixed block placement rules for all new additions in version 2.0 (rocket pods/launch rails, guns and variants)

o Wing mounted variants of the type B autocannon must now be flipped on their sides for placement.

o The Gunpod variant of the type B autocannon can now only be placed upside down.

Hotfix for version 2.0

  • Fixed the name of the nose mounted 40mm HMG

  • Gave the nose mounted 40 HMG some stat buffs because it is a single mount compared to the wing mounted ones

  • Fixed the positioning of the barrel on the nose mounted 40mm HMG

  • Fixed a faulty inaccuracy modifier coefficient for all of the 40mm HMG variants.

There will be more hotfixes, potentially, in case any other issues slipped past the net.

Version 2.0 Release
  • Added a set of new dumbfire rocket weapons: a set of rocket pods and launch racks. All with a choice between simple shells and custom shells.

  • The rocket pods have several variants for ripple firing or long/short salvoes. There is also a time-fused dumbfire AA rocket pod, because that is fun :)

  • The launch racks/rails come in three size variants. one with a large volley of small and weak rockets. One with three large rockets and one with two huge rockets.

  • Added a whole slew of aircraft cannons and a gatling gun. Some are simple shell, some are custom shell. I'll probably expand upon these later. There is a selection of different mounting points for noses/propellor hubs, wing, and underwing gunpods. Peruse to your liking.

  • Added APS cluster bombs (experimental, up for further tweaking). Have fun with altitude fused frag warheads! :D

  • Tweaked the speed of the simple bomb projectiles (mostly up 10 to 15 m/s). It looks less graceful, but should increase the capacity of aircraft to actually get their bombs off in a variety of attack angles and speeds.

  • Tweaked the maximum angles at which the hardpoints can 'throw' their bombs. Be sure to set firing angle constraints on all your hardpoints and bomb bays and use failsafes where possible!

  • fixed several issues with some of the simple bomb hardpoints, their configuration was faulty. Notably the triple tiny simple bombs, and the single huge AP bomb.
