Since the SteamVR update on October 26, there seems to be a problem when trying to start gmodvr, the controller movements are reflected on the gmod but the gmod does not show up on the HMD.

To alleviate this problem as much as possible, we have reverted some of the lua code related to the depiction back to the original.

Depending on the environment, this may have no effect at all.



If so, I am sorry, but please revert to the previous version by going to “steamVR -> properties -> beta -> previous”.

1. Enhancement to address the problem of the head appearing in VR
(To solve the problem of the player model's hair and other bones showing up in VR, we added an attempt to shift back only the player model visible from you. It should look normal when viewed from other people or from another mod's camera, etc.)
2. Fixed a problem with the keyboard for chat being misaligned.
Fixed a fatal bug where the keyboard for chat mode and input was different from the buttons.
3.Changed the initial key layout for quest. This does not affect those who are already using custom key layouts.

This is a major update in its own right.
1. Preset function added.
Record the convar of the mod you use in gmodvr and save it as a txt in the data/vrmod_preset folder.
Open vrmod_menu and go to the Setting tab

Drag it to the bottom (sorry for the bad placement. Currently thinking about it).

4. Changed processing related to optimization for VRMod.
The graphic settings of gmod itself are not changed by default, and you can choose to “hide the mirror”, “disable only the specular reflection of the water surface”, or “change gmod_mcore_test” from the vrmod_menu.
We also designed this optimization so that it will be restored when you exit vrmod.

A number of minor specification changes have been made.
1⃣.The vrmod player can now detect and hide bones that are attached to the head when starting a vrmod. This has reduced the possibility of hair, goggles, etc. appearing in front of the eyes.
2⃣.The animation used when the vrmod player walks, runs or flies can now be changed from the vrmodmenu. vrmodThe animation used when the player walks, runs or flies can now be changed from the vrmodmenu.
For example, changing "vrmod_run_act" from "ACT_HL2MP_RUN"->"ACT_HL2MP_WALK" will result in a walking animation with less body lean when running, making it easier to use player models with many head parts.
3⃣. Testing new menu style." The vrmodmenu Setting02 menu changes depending on whether "vrmod_menu_type" is 0 or 1. The default setting is "0" and looks the same as before.
4⃣.Added a mode to manually change the convar used in vrmod auto-optimisation.
You can change it from vrmodmenu.
5⃣.Slightly changed LVS operability.
