Release v1.011:

Modified textures on the black planes used for Day Complete room so they appear black regardless of graphics settings and hardware. Thanks to Autumnlight91 for surfacing this during a recent playthrough.

Release v1.01:

Added invisible collision box above the refrigerator to try to prevent thrown items from being stuck there. Thanks to sneaky tiger 21 for flagging this issue.

Open Beta complete...Full Release v1.00!!!

Thanks to those of you who have played my room so far, and also those who have given feedback on bugs. Hopefully things are more stable now. I know Pine is still working to resolve the remaining issues related to framerate and pickables.

Update: 15 Jun, 2022 @ 8:17am

Open Beta version 0.955:

Added a SKIP button to the nebula projector that appears after entering the incorrect combination once, as a workaround in case the projector breaks or players want to skip it for any other reason.

I would prefer to make the projector combination lock bulletproof, but I don't think that is going to happen due to issues with activators and framerates that are outside my control. I'm honestly still surprised it works at all lol.

Apologies to ZePanda and anyone else who had issues with this and got stuck! Hopefully this will no longer be an issue.

Open Beta version 0.95:

Spent about four hours tearing apart the phone dialer today, but I think it's finally working how I intended. Green call button should show up every time now after pressing seven buttons, and a correct phone number should result in a successful call each time.

You can still confuse it temporarily if you press buttons too quickly, particularly while it is resetting after entering a phone number, but it resets itself when you hit the green call button. And you really have to try to break it.

Hoping to never revisit the phone dialer again. :) Sorry if you had trouble with it...the framerate issues make it worse, but I think the new logic should be lag-proof. Fingers-crossed.

Getting very close to emerging from Open Beta...soon! Thanks for all the positive ratings so far even though we're still in testing mode.

Update: 14 Jun, 2022 @ 10:54am

Open Beta version 0.946:

Made another change in an effort to ensure the microphone is always pickable. Previously, if you pick up the microphone to inspect it using the space bar and then hit space bar again to put it back down, it was enabling the drawer collider which prevented it from being picked up again. This would explain why most people didn't have an issue with this (they picked up the microphone and put it in inventory). Now, if you hit space bar and put the microphone back in the drawer, it disables the collider on the drawer again so the microphone can be picked up repeatedly.

Thanks to JunJunJohnny for telling me this was still not working correctly!

If some players are still never able to pick up the microphone, that would be a separate issue.

Update: 14 Jun, 2022 @ 8:10am

Open Beta version 0.945:

Attempted to fix phone dialer to work in spite of framerate issues with pickables in Examine/Inspect mode. Green call button seems to show up more consistently now, but you can still break it by spamming buttons. I will attempt to solve the spamming issue later today using a similar method that I use on the light switches.

Moved blue "Open Beta" cloud from the intro up a bit higher to make it easier to read without crouching, and to make it more obvious there is something behind it so you should really click on it to dismiss it. :)

Tweaked external Steam links - Walkthrough link now goes to Hints and Solutions discussion, Bug Reports link now goes to Known Issues & Bug Reports discussion. Link at the end still goes to INSIDE workshop homepage.

Made Khadgar easter egg not a button. You can still find it if you make a copy of my room and view it in Room Editor though.

Backstory: Khadgar noticed you can lose small objects by throwing them in the toilet. So I added an invisible sticker to the bottom of the toilet to keep objects from falling in too deeply. It was a button and you could read the Descriptive name field which said "Easter Egg for Khadgar" but now it's no longer a button; I figured very few people would find it or understand the reference, and I don't want to distract people from the INSIDE experience.

Update: 13 Jun, 2022 @ 8:36pm

Open Beta version 0.941:

Triggered Visibility Activator that disables dresser drawer colliders a second time after level start, trying to ensure that the collider is disabled on the drawer with the microphone until it is picked up. Because sometimes activators that are set to Auto start...don't. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks to bl0ndi3e for the suggestion! Sorry you couldn't pick up the microphone. That's a really rare/odd bug I've never seen before but hopefully this will solve it.

Update: 13 Jun, 2022 @ 11:53am

Open Beta version 0.94:

Removed Visibility activators that were toggling colliders on Calendar pages, which could occasionally misfire making the player unable to turn pages. It turns out the pages flip fine with no extra logic, since they intuitively block each other's colliders (nice when that happens!). Thanks to Solenya for flagging this.

Tweaked the colors on the Puzzle 6 whiteboard to be more colorblind-friendly (I hope). Thanks to ezKill42 for the suggestion.

Additional thoughts on the colors for Puzzle 6:
There are four shirts - plaid, maroon with white text, black with yellow text, and black with orange text. These correspond to the four squares on the Puzzle 6 whiteboard. Plaid is already colorblind friendly, since it's the only shirt with a texture. Maroon is different from the other shades, and is also the only shirt with white on it so hopefully that is clear. For the two black shirts, the yellow and orange may be hard to distinguish for colorblind players; I attempted to address this by making the yellow brighter and a little cooler, and making the orange a little darker and warmer. I did not actually tweak the shirt textures though. I hope the shades are still different enough, and worst case scenario you have a 50/50 chance of getting the black shirts correct and they are next to each other on the rack so I hope this is sufficient.

Update: 13 Jun, 2022 @ 7:40am

Open Beta version 0.938:

Made camera tripod a pickable animation, so it can't fall over before the player picks it up.

Tweaked the vocals in the chorus of Content to be a little less pitchy. Still very amateur though.
