Update: 17 Oct, 2023 @ 12:58pm

Version 1.0 “Frauenfeld”

Main feature :

- Full compatibility with the “Arms Against Tyranny” DLC and the 1.13 version.
- The focus tree will now compact itself and obsolete political branches will be hidden as you progress through it.

Focus Tree :

- In the focus “The Hard Truth”, the alternative foreign policy path that will be completed is chosen depending on the path taken in the focus tree (instead of your current ideology). The “Fight for Democracy and Freedom” is taken if you took the “Abolish the Full Powers fo the Federal Council”/”Support the Full Powers fo the Federal Council” focus and the “Independent Foreign Policy” branch is taken if you went through the “New Federal Pact” focus.
- The “Ban the Extremes” focus has been divided into two focuses : “Ban Communism” (available with the “Trust in the Federal Council” or the “Unify the Fronts” focuses) and “Ban the Fronts” (available from the “Stregthen the Richtlinienbewegung” or the “Trust in the Federal Council” focuses). These focuses provide a spirit reducing daily communism or fasc (contrary to the old “Ban the Extremes” focus, no amount of party popularity is removed when completing the focus). Taking these focuses will reduce relations with major countries in Europe following the banned ideology and slightly improve relations with european majors not following the banned ideology. These two focus can be taken without any restriction (contrary to the old “Ban the Extremes” focus which required an alliance or NAP between Germany and the Soviet Union).
- A new Focus “Army and Home” has been inserted in the “Geistiges Landesverteidigung” branch (where the “Ban the Extremes” used to be) and will provide stability and war support.
- The “Alpine Regiment” focus will give cost reduction for the Special Forces tree (AAT owners only).
- The “Acquire Licenses” focus will only give license bonus of you own the Death or Dishonor DLC. For players without this DLC, the focus will give some tech bonus. In addition, owners of Arms Against Tyranny will receive subsidies toward buying planes (instead of an offmap civilian factory).
- Completing both “Federal People Army” and “Women Suffrage” allows women to become aces.
- The “Expand the air bases” focus now gives 2 air bases in two owned core states.

Leaders and Generals :

- The whole system around the “Peacetime General Staff” national spirit and the Generals has been overhauled in a way similar to the BBA content.
- All previously available generals (Guisan, Bircher and Wille Jr.) are now Heads of the Army that can only be hired if they were chosen with the “Nominate a General” focus and the corresponding event. They will also still be available as Field Marshalls.
- Jakob Huber has been added as a possible Head of Army and Field Marshall

National spirits:

- The national spirit “Peacetime General Staff” will now instead be a head of army present at the beginning of the game and it grants -5% war support and -50% command power growth (instead of -180 maximum command power). This spirit can only be removed with the “Nominate a General” focus.
- Most national spirits giving consumer goods factor reduction (which is now called “Expected Consumers Goods Factories”) will now give instead some consumer goods factory factor reduction.

Country :

- Starting war support is 15% instead of 10%

Graphics :

- New icons from AAT have been inserted into the focus tree.
- Some focuses will feature a dynamic focus icon (that changes depending on circumstances)

Events :

- Added an event that fires every 1 August (Swiss National Day) if Switzerland is independent, democratic and has not capitulated and which gives a marginal amount of stability, war support, political power or ruling party popularity (depending on the choice of the player).

Bug fixes :

- Fixed the available conditions of the “Invite the Bourgeois Bloc” and the “Invite the Socialists” focuses.

Update: 13 Oct, 2022 @ 1:40pm

Version 0.3 “Lugano”

Main feature :

- Full compatibility with the 1.12 version and the “By Blood Alone” DLC.

Mechanics :

- The Political Instability mechanic has been removed and replaced by the Balance of Power. The general functionning is roughly the same (try to get high party popularity and high stability to avoid troubles and also avoid having low war support if you abandon neutrality).
- All decisions related with the Political Instability mechanic have been reworked and integrated into the new Balance of Power system.
- Reworked the AI paths for Switzerland to account for the new Balance of Power system.

Leaders :

- The Stable Government trait (+30% stability) has been removed from the Federal Council since this stability bonus is now part of the Balance of Power. This leader will instead have the “Seven Sages” spirit (+10% political power gain factor and +0.5% daily Balance of Power progress).
- The Collective Leader trait (given to the Federal Assembly) will no longer grant +5% stability (effectively reverting this trait to its original version).

Focus tree :

- Taking the Subsidies for Agriculture focus when the Agrarians are part of the ruling coalition will in addition grant +5% stability and +50 political power.
- To account for the removal the Political Instability mechanic, all focuses removing stability depending on the popularity of other parties will now instead give negative Balance of Power progress depending on the popularity of the democratic party.
- The focus Commitment to Peace is now available from either Defense of Democracy, Destroy Communism or Take Down Fascism (instead of requiring both Destroy Communism and Take Down Fascism).
- The focus Join The Fight will not target countries in a civil war.
- The focus Change The Constitution will no longer be bypassed if the country is already fascist.
- The focuses Electronics Research and Secret Weapons Projects are now requiring the focus Industrial Expansion (instead of the focus Support the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology).
- All focuses giving tech boost for air technology have been updated to take into account the air rework .
- Updated some focuses to account for map changes (new states and new railroads).
- Added two new focuses (Utilise the Lucy Spy Ring, which provides a boost to communism and espionnage bonuses, and Defend Spanish Democracy, which allows Switzerland to help the Spanish republicans if it follows the Fight For Democracy And Freedom branch).
- The Defend the Country focus now also gives 10% war support.

Balance :

- Nerfed the “Helvetism” national spirit (flat compliance gain of 0.2% has been replaced by a percentage bonus to compliance growth of 20%). I saw you iSorrowproductions !
- Austria will not peacefully join Germany (with referendum) during a civil war (I’m trying to remove all instances where Austria is joining Germany while being at war with Switzerland).
- The Swiss Neutrality national spirit will not be removed in case of a civil war (only in case of a “normal” war).

Graphics

- Reworked the icons of the focuses, ideas and decisions to use the new icons introduced with the latest game version.
- Assigned the new portraits from the new game version to their respective characters (leaders, advisors and generals)

Map changes

- Added the state of Oberland (to bring the total number of states in Switzerland to 5 as per the new game version).
- Vorarlberg gained a province (making it similar to the state found in the new vanilla game version).
- Added and changed a few Victory Points

Other Focus Trees

- The additional focus added in the Italian Focus Tree has been removed (Italy will instead use its new default focus tree).
- Changed some content (focus, decisions, events) for France, Italy and Germany to take into account the new states of Upper Savoy and Valtellina.
- Updated some content for Germany to include references to Vorarlberg (since PDX seems to have partially forgotten to include it).

Bug fixes

- Fixed the scripted trigger *SWI_is_a_monarchy* concerning Spain.
- The Invite the Fascist focus should now be properly mutually exclusive with the Integrate the Swiss Patriotic Federation.

Update: 28 Jul, 2022 @ 12:04pm

Version 0.2 “Zofingen”

New features

- Added AI paths for Switzerland with 14 different paths.

Focus Tree

- Completion time for some key focuses have been changed (35 days to 70 days).
- *Strengthen the Richtlinienbewegung* now only takes away 5% stability (instead of 10%).
- The focuses *Women Suffrage* and *Old Age Pension* have been swapped, making the *Women Suffrage* focus the last one in the left-wing policies branch (since historically the Old Age Pension was introduced in the late 40’s and Women Suffrage only came into force in 1971).
- All focuses in the left-wing policies branch give 3% comunism support if you completed the focus *Invite the Communists* beforehand (which should help a bit getting more communist support).
- *The Coming Storm* focus will require at least 20% world tension (instead of 30%).
- Clarified the conditions for the *Invite the Socialists* and the *Invite the Bourgeois Bloc* focuses.
- The *Enforce the Vorarlberg Referendum*, *Formalise the Savoy Neutral Zone,* *Reclaim Valtelina* and *Claim the South German Region focuses* will not directly grant cores and wargoals on the claimed territories. Instead, the owner of such territories will receive an ultimatum letting them choose between giving the territories to Switzerland (with the cores) or refusing (and giving Switzerland a wargoal against them and cores). These focuses can take into account the fact that those territories can change hands before Switzerland takes this focus (for example the Anschluss or the Italian Occupation of Savoy) or that the claimed territories can potentially be divided between several countries (in the case of *Claim the South German Region*).
- The *available* and *bypass* conditions for the focuses in the *A New Europe* branch have been simplified and harmonised.
- The *Defend the Country* focus is now also available if you’re at war (not only if world tension is higher than 5%).

Leaders

- The *Collective Leader* trait (which is given to the *Federal Assembly* in the communist branch) now also gives 5% stability.

Bug fixes

- Thanks to measures taken by the French ministry for territorial development, Upper Savoy has finally seen its first inhabitants, ending its dark period of total lack of population.
- Fixed the custom trigger *is_a_monarchy* concerning Albania.
- *Formalize the Savoy Neutral Zone* and *Ally the French* are now properly mutually exclusive.
- Fixed the *available* and *bypass* conditions for *Befriend Spain* and *Solve the Spanish Question*
- Fixed the opinion modifiers gained through focuses.
- Fixed some localisation errors.
