v1.2: Courtesy of Jance Tramiers, the mind behind the three first Alpha Animals - pawnmorpher hybrids (and now xenotypes), I bring you a new xenotype based on the graphics he graciously provided: the Taukai.


Added: new xenotype, the Taukai. Named after the ancient Lithuanian word for "grease", the taukai are a very strange human xenotype, created to withstand extremely radioactive environments. The flesh of the taukai is slimy, looking like molten wax, and full of physical abnormalities, deformities and tumors. Their tissues are constantly regenerating and morphing, causing the formation of dangerous carcinomas. They have however an extraordinary ability to order their bodies to repurpose these carcinomas and use them for several beneficial designs.

Added: new teratogenic abilities: teratogenesis, healing touch, teratogenic healing, teratogenic swiftness, teratogenic coordination, teratogenic stamina and teratogenic touch

Added: new cancerous body and cancerous head genes

Added: new feathered wings gene

Added: detonation ability gene

Added: new gaunt body gene, which has been patched into the Waster xenotype

Fix: insect mandibles and lower antennae are no longer visible in the north orientation

Fix: Regeneration abilities should now regenerate tended wounds too (this fix is on the VE Framework)

Fix: Human eggs weren't correctly storing the gene lists of their parents (this fix is on the VE Framework)

Tweak: increased range of greater fire spit and greater acidic vomit to 17 tiles so they are clearly better than the base Biotech abilities

Tweak: added lethal UV sensitivity to a blacklist for unstable mutation so Wretches don't die instantly

Tweak: human eggs shouldn't deteriorate. Their description should now indicate they need to be kept between 0 and 50ºC

Tweak: stinger implanter can not be used as a purely offenssive weapon as it won't work on hostile targets (they'll need to be downed first). Similarly, using it on neutral or friendly faction members will make their faction hostile.

Tweak: added to the description of the stinger implanter that it will only work with xenogenes, as people didn't assume it worked like the implanter in base Biotech

Tweak: changed priority of the metal feed work

- Added: new gene, stinger implanter. A non-archite alternative to the gene implanter. Forcefully implants the victim, causing damage and mood penalties to it, and putting it on a 4 day coma. Can only be used very 4 days.
- Added: new gene, insect rally. An aura ability that strengthens insects nearby.
- Added: new gene, jelly production. Generates 12 insect jelly per day.
- Added: 4 new cosmetic antennae genes. Wasp, bee, formic and lower antennae.
- Added: 3 new cosmetic mandible genes. Bee, beetle and pincer mandibles.

- Added: Faster aging gene. Carriers of this gene will age at a 50% increased rate. This applies to both children and adults. This has its advantages and disadvantages.

v1.03:

- Added: new genetic tool, xenotype injector. Forcefully removes all genes from the target, both germline and xenogenes, and replaces them with a random xenotype. As a result, the target will drop into a coma for 3 days. Using the injector on a colonist suffering from the coma will have no effect.
- Added: new genetic tool, genepack tweaker. Acts upon an existing genepack, alphapack or mixedpack, adding a new, random gene to it. The targetted genepack must have 3 or less genes inside it, and this process won't add new archite genes to it.
- Added: new genetic tool, genepack disruptor. Acts upon an existing genepack, alphapack or mixedpack, deleting a random gene present on it. The targetted genepack must have 2 or more genes inside it.

- Tweak: A lot of the body add-on genes now have 256x256 images, instead of 128x128, to make pawns look better, specially when using Camera+

v1.01:

- Added: new gene, Exotic Organism. Once a custom player created xenotype receives this gene, that xenotype will never be automatically loaded into the two factions added by this mod. The gene has no other effects.
- Added: new gene, No Wings. This gene allows players to create xenotypes with different types of wings, or even no wings, and one is chosen at random, similar to how skin tones work.
- Added: new gene, Plant green skin
- Added: Wretched Existence scenario. Start with 3 Wretches struggling to survive.
- Added: xenotype icons added by this mod now selectable for custom xenotypes too
- Tweak: Light sustenance no longer changes skin colour to green. There is now a specific gene for that particular skin tone for those who want it
- Tweak: gestation speed genes incompatible with Sterile, but NOT with Fertile
