Update: 7 Dec, 2022 @ 12:40am

- Much more day/night audio (see if you can catch it)
- Few new trees
- So many things...

NOTICE - and stuff!

I've caught SpecOps spawning AI under the map on objective India. I've inched the spawns up and seems to have fixed things. Will Ehrpdate tomorrow.

*Fun note about previous Unity issues, I actually got one of my big industrial maps semi imported...we will see...

Update: 5 Dec, 2022 @ 8:17pm

- Some more grass fixes
- New terrain features / secrets

I had a lot more planned for this but Unity can't handle the terrain density I had hoped for and the trees are about as optimized as it gets before they turn into mushy trash. Given Unity (the company) purposefully broke the Unity Dev kit a while back most my old maps (released and unreleased) are basically trapped on a Unity version that "doesn't exist" (according to their HUB which seems to have "forgot" about all the pre-hub releases) and can't be installed to migrate things. This means I had about 12 maps from nature settings, industrial plants and labs to cityscapes that are basically locked out unless I start over which I'm torn on doing.

Right now RF runs like crap. Better than it was but still pretty terrible compared to other Unity games. Unity as a whole also handles vegetation terribly. Compare trees in Tarkov to almost any Unreal based game and you'll immediately see what I mean. (I suppose I could try to write my own veg shader but meh) In the end though while I enjoy making spaces to play in Unity sucks at the things I gravitate to and Ravenfield as a whole limits that further. Gameplay feels mushy and sloppy, game modes suck and frankly Tarkov runs better and plays better.

Until SR fixes the export platform disparity and the sloppy game play this may be the last thing I do. This map was to get a feel for things again since it's been over a year since Unity broke the ability to run Unity on *any* Linux distro. More importantly they broke it on the platform you need for SteamDeck development. Cue Smooth move Ex-Lax...but Unity is diarrhea so it's fitting.

Update: 5 Dec, 2022 @ 5:26pm

- Moar grass
- Few fixes
- New Terrain Features

Update: 4 Dec, 2022 @ 7:01pm

- New nighttime audio
- New terrain features
- Tree fixes
- More secrets
- Caught a few things (grass on a mountain / rock type stuff) might update later but might not. It's not game breaking or anything.

Update: 3 Dec, 2022 @ 3:58pm

- Fixed some tree's
- Waterfall tweak
- More small terrain touches
- Added settings json

Update: 3 Dec, 2022 @ 2:54pm

- Some more terrain / feature tweaks that fixed some odd drop offs.
- Added another cap to increment distance between two others.
- Fixed a few trees
- Found a few more bad trees so next update will fix those, waterfall tweak, some more small terrain touches.

Update: 3 Dec, 2022 @ 1:17pm

- Some terrain tweaks and feature/model changes.
- Second set of vehicles (re)added as Unity likes to say it's built new but won't until you make a major change. I this case I just re-enabled a second set of vehicle spawners to make it build. In short if it's updated again the jeeps will probably be gone.

Update: 2 Dec, 2022 @ 2:08pm

- I had split up the spawns to keep things interesting but it slows things down and you can go too long without seeing a single enemy unless you have very high bot count. Capture points are back to "forcing" teams to engauge quickly.

- Tweaked some terrain as I noted a few areas were still too "flat.".

Update: 2 Dec, 2022 @ 11:35am

Created a new item.

Caught a few issues after releasing. The mixed spawns making getting into the action hard unless you have 200+ bot counts so going back to a rather one sided initial cap point state. Fix soon but occlusion compute takes a while.
