Project Skarn - whatn gives?

- We retain as much of this, BUT ......
- RKC contents should be excluded, and only necessary items be moved to a new media folder - KLW.

Required parts?

- Dessi has a unique art style that is not ready. It must be made by reviving the old Mesoamerican style that we originally planned for Rise of the Moderns - Mayan ruins with Mediterranean buildings - but never truly added together.
- The building style of the League of Suhn has never fully been resolved either but it is most likely based off any Malay or Burmese parts supplied by Hong.
- An interesting idea for Drakkarim / Forces of Darkness would be to retool the Elven fantasy land files that Spanzer created from ripping LOME.

Thse should be our main objectives for the next 3 months, if not working on Project Sei-Hek.

MOD特点

Temujin may well follow the rulesets of Kings & Conquerors, but deep down it is however an experience set in the Middle Ages. Thus while it may not seem very different compared to other mediaeval era mods out there, what makes it stand out is its more specific and granular scope - essentially a look at Asia and Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 12th century CE. This is a world fleshed out by large number of custom (non-vanilla) units, with many new models and animations.

The Middle Ages from a non-Western viewpoint
While some factions - eg Germans, Mongols, Russians and possibly Venexia and Bulgaria and Poland are rather well known (and have been covered by the Rise of Kings series) others are seeing light for the first time as RoN civs - these often being the victims of Mongol expansion. Most notable is this mod's focus not just on northern Asia - but southern Asia as well, represented by four civs - Dai Viet, Hindustan, Hoysala and Rajputana.

Visit the grandeur of the crown jewel of Islam, the Persian kingdom of Khwarazamshah; defend the lands of Xixia with the fierce tenacity of the Minyak people; fight for God with the Crusader States; learn about the precursors of the Mongols - the Polovtsy, the Jurchens and the Qara Khitai - or watch them all fall and burn as history repeats itself.

Some Old Hands and Some New Friends
Priests, Shamans, Slaves and Assassins make a comeback in Temujin, alongside things like i-War ... along with some new weapons. While units like Battering Rams and Siege Towers may be standard fare, perhaps more uncommon would be gunpowder units, like the ones summoned by the three great civs of North Asia - Dajin, Nansong and Xixia.

This project done, it is now time to strip its parts for Project Skarn.

Some thoughts:

- Patriots are to be disabled for this mod.
- Vassagonian culture pack can be used for Dessi.
- Asian culture pack can be used for Tianese/Suhnese.

A curent lineup can be used:

BARRACKS

Militia (cannot change)
Warriors => Spearmen => Spear Sergeants
Bowmen => Archers
[Crossbowmen]


HOVELS:

Peasant Levy (some) => Urban Militia (most, probably except obvious cases like Vassagonia, or Telchos)
Skirmisher Levy => Levy Crossbowmen

And THEN for CORRAL:

Horseman
Light Chariot => Lancer
Javelin/Bow Cav/Crossbow Cavalry

Very little is mentioned of bow cavalry in the LW books: we can safely assume that some units like Sommlending Royal Rangers do use horse archer, as must Lunarlia. Vassagonia and Telchos are suspected to have them but it is unknown. It would seem that ranged cavalry is more comoon in south Magnamund than north Magnamund.

MEETING HOUSE/PALACE

Knights and Feudal Retinue, duh.
