Typo fix in pinned character sgui file.

Update: 26 Nov, 2024 @ 12:12am

Some new features have been added to the pinned character menu.

To start with, there are now two possible viewing options for the pinned character menu, detailed (default) view and list view (old style). The detailed view is my updated vision for what the menu could be, which allows for more space to work on a single pinned character, which you can quickly switch between by using the select character button near the top of the window.

The new display's current functionality allows you to change a character's skills directly from the pinned character menu, whereas before, you could only view them.

It also displays all of a character's titles and, for now, allows you to take any of them by simply left-clicking on them. At a later date, more options will be available to switch between by right-clicking; these will be available as I add them.

You can also change a character's religion/culture directly from this menu by simply clicking on the religion/culture name and choosing from the list as usual.

Finally, there is room on the left side to have quick action buttons; currently, these buttons are only to kill, imprison, or house arrest the character. All of these actions are only the player character doing these actions to the selected character, but I plan to add the ability to also choose a secondary character that will instead do these actions to the primary selected character.

There are also two new buttons in the top left of the window, which allow you to quickly pin all living characters in the game (in case you want to apply a pinned action to all living characters at once) and the option to pin the characters from the base game's pinned character list.

Update: 23 Sep, 2024 @ 2:21am

Increased the values of all of the base modifiers in the character editor menu to make them more useful, from 0.1 to 10 for base and from 2.5% to 50% for multipliers. Did this to allow them to be more useful, since stacking too many causes issues.

Added province manager tab to the title manager. Any pinned and selected title will have each of their dejure counties' provinces appear in this tab and since this is the level that buildings are managed at, it's opened up some options for manipulating your buildings.

These options currently include

  • Removing a holding - this essentially returns the province to a blank tempalte, with no holding building.
  • Add building slots to individual provinces, rather than all of a character's counties.
  • Change a holding type of a province to any of the four holding types, castle, city, temple, or tribal.
  • Remove all buildings of selected provinces.
  • Max out the upgrades of each building in each selected province.
  • Let the AI choose the next building to build and it will instantly be constructed, at no cost.
  • And finally the construct building button, which will open a separate window where you can choose from every basic building type (not special buildings at the moment) to build in selected provinces. You can also choose what level to set the building to, and have the option to destroy the building as well.

Loading the provinces happens every time you open the province manager window, try to not have too many titles selected at once or this can be VERY laggy. I would advise no more than a kingdom worth of titles at once for best speeds, but you can do more if you don't mind the game freezing while it loads. I disabled loading of empire title provinces directly, since I was getting upwards of a minute wait times loading all of the provinces of the HRE into the menu.

It's worth noting, for selected counties, it is direclty grabbing the provinces of the pinned / selected county, for other titles, it's getting the DE JURE counties of the title, not the owned counties of the title.
