4.6.2 is now live.

This update contains the following:

New

- Cause Wounds is a new spell for Clerics that does damage in a radius around them, both PvE and PvP.
- Particles associated with Cause Wounds, both for casting and targets effected.
- Orichalcum and Mithril Glaives with unique models utilizing the Sweeping Spear moveset.
- New particles for cleric healing.
- Healing spells from Clerics, Druids, and Blood Witches now have some new healing particles in their healing effects.

Changes

- Heal and Healing Circle are now heal over time effects like the other heals in the mod.
- Eldritch Regeneration now has a 25 second cooldown, leaving a window of opportunity to attack the knight without them having healing active.

Fixes

- Fixed the recipe icons and recipes for dual swords.
- Fixed the ability to use shields with dual weapons.

Testing

- Flight spell that is in testing. It is called "Flight" and available as an item, or you can give it out with a recipe. It -should- work on a live server and cause you to grant flight to anyone around you for 2 minutes.
- Spell version of Fairy State to remove the need for an item. It's not ready for public use, but it exists. Still struggling with this, but trying different logic with this.
- Spell version of "Fairy Flight" with no animation and no cast time. This is not ready for use as it's very buggy.
- Mighty Blow ability for Artificer feat.
- Sunder Armor ability for Artificer feat.
- Cause Wounds spell for the Cleric.

4.6.1 is now live. This brings the mod into line with 3.3's release and adds quite a few things. I also want to use this space once again to reiterate that grand and mithril armor will have their stats redesigned sometime in January - and that Entertainer will move under Mystic as a subclass focusing on the Bard feat attached to them. This will remove their ability to craft Essence of Expertise and change their gourmet food options to also use mysticism instead of expertise.

- Implemented some particle work I'd already done but didn't get saved on the last upload.
- Reduced the healing of Blood Craze slightly.

Fixes

- Fixed an exploit with Blood Craze.
- Fixed a very annoying sound bug. You'd thank me if you ever heard that loop get stuck. Eugh.

- Added a new PvE-only spell for Bard called Biting Words pulses out a small amount of damage every tick.
- An instant cast flight spell intended for a custom race on the Maelstrom server but usable by anyone called Magie Flight. This only effects the caster.
- An ability for Fighters called Blood Craze that allows them to regenerate from damage taken for 2 seconds after activation.
- A sigil of flight that grants flight to the imbiber. You must distribute the sigil of flight however you want if you wish for players to have access to the consumable. It grants flight for 2 minutes on use and is consumed.
- Icons for spells such as Judgment, Biting Words, Blood Craze, etc. Pretty much all new things and things that didn't have a unique icon, though some things still need updating.
- Bard feat now comes with a missile on middle mouse. It's very much a WIP and may or may not function correctly on a live server.
- Feat for Artisans called Artificer. This feat is ID 8995108 and server administrators should block this feat if they do not wish for Artisans to have special abilities. Artificer gives access to Mighty Blow and Sunder Armor.
- Mighty Blow ability that enhances your strength weapon damage for two seconds.
- Sunder Armor ability that pulses in a short radius around the user, reducing armor.

Changes

- Resaved all blueprints(as per funcom recommendation) and rebuilt for chapter 3.
- Increased the duration of Bard auras to 40 seconds. The buffs should all tick 10 times before you have to recast your auras.
- Adjusted healing spells so that you can only have one instance of a healing spell on you at a time. This will likely mean that more changes will come to adjust the values of the effected heals once it can be tested in a live environment.
- Magi fireball cooldown reduced to 20 seconds.
- Bard feat can now craft essence of Mysticism.

Fixes

- Funcom made full hydrating give you a stamina buff at some point, which is cool. The downside is that when you have a buff, like a warcry, that grants you stamina the game then resets you to your default stamina value whenever you lose the hydration buff. This means warcry-like stamina buffs were falling off because the player was thirsty... While fitting for conan, it is very annoying, and so this should be fixed now. The fix is dirty, though, as those warcries now grant grit directly instead so it's a buff overall. Thanks Soapy for figuring out what was causing it. :)
- Repulsion was playing bard particles. Now it isn't.

4.5.0 is now live, just in time for a funcom update that will probably break everything! This version number bump makes Eldritch Knight publicly available for Mystics as a subclass! Eldritch Knight does not have a missile weapon but it does consistent area of effect damage by its unique lightning storm circle. I recommend giving them a try! It's quite fun to zap people. This assumes it works... This is my first time messing with the book and it works in the devkit!

This update contains the following:

New

- Particles for Expose Weakness.
- Particles for the Sleep spell.
- Icons for various things, including Expose Weakness(buff), Flight(and its buff), some feats, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
- Eldritch Knight mystic subclass is now available for selection!

Changes

- Adjusted the Eldricth Knight storm particle to remove some of the ground damage that was prone to being obnoxious.
- Adjusted the particles very slightly on some other spells to prevent wildly disproportionate effects.

Fixes

- Implemented a different method of handling the Flight spell in an attempt to properly cause players in a radius to fly for the duration.
- Added a failsafe to try and ensure the server cancels flight after two minutes.

4.4.3 is live now. With how they've come out and how much the Eldritch Knight's damage is themed around their magic storm, the decision has been made to shift them to be a Mystic subclass rather than a Warrior subclass. What does this mean for end users? Nothing, but it's still a thing, so here we are. For useful information, this update contains the following:

- Sadness. I have gained it.

Fixes

- Hopefully Vicious Mockery and Wounding Poison no longer generate an infinite loop of damage on a live server. Wish it worked like that in the devkit, so I could have found an alternative solution before... Tried something else with them, maybe it'll actually work on the live game!
- Attempted to fix the Flight spell as well.

4.4.3 is live now. With how they've come out and how much the Eldritch Knight's damage is themed around their magic storm, the decision has been made to shift them to be a Mystic subclass rather than a Warrior subclass. Added a Flight spell that can be given out by administrators however they see fit. It -should- work on live servers and -should- cause characters in close proximity of the caster to begin flying for 2 minutes. Since I was making a fairy state-style item I decided to go ahead and implement something we'd been debating for a while, so hopefully both it and fairy state resolve on a dedicated server...
- Cloak of Shadows buff for Outlaw that increases their stamina, damage with weapons, and their movement speed.
- A few more icons for things new and old.

Changes

- Reduced the intensity of the Eldritch Knight's storm spell both on the target and the caster.
- Reduced the size of the Bard spell effects on the caster.
- Added Detect and Dispel Magic roleplay spells to the associated feat for every mystic type.
- Added Essence of Mysticism to Eldritch Knight to go in line with its flavoring as a mystic class due to how much magic it uses in gameplay.

Fixes

- Reworked how Wounding Poison and Vicious Mockery deal damage to hopefully make the actual damage event work on a live server. It still works in the devkit. :^)

4.4.2 is live now. I am using this update as my notice to server administrators that sometime in January(probably), I will be changing both Grand and Mithril level armor so that it does different things. Light will be themed around agility, Medium towards strength, and Heavy towards vitality. This update contains the following:

New

- New icon for most of the remaining classes and their RP feats.
- Wounding Poison is now(correctly) craftable by Outlaws. Wounding Poison applies a debuff to targets hit in an area around the Outlaw and, if the Outlaw can hit the target again before the debuff expires, they will take bonus damage on that hit from the poison.
- Ranger's have a new buff they can activate called "Expose Weakness" that increases their agility-based damage done for 1~ attack.

Changes

- Wounding Poison should hit for 150.
- Envenom should hit for 100.

- Ranger root now has a 24 second cooldown.

- Bard debuffs have increased in radius from 750 to 1000.
- Vicious Mockery has been redesigned. Vicious Mockery now pulses a debuff onto targets within the radius, causing them to take bonus damage when struck by attacks while they have that debuff on them. Attacks will trigger the debuff, clearing it to do the bonus damage.
- Refreshing Inspiration now heals for 200 every 4 seconds instead of 133. This brings it close to in line with other heals, but it cannot stack and thus is less effective than either other healer still.

Fixes

- Intimidating Shout now correctly breaks on hit, and if you hit a terrified opponent, they will be crippled for 2 seconds.

Testing

4.4.1 is live now. I am using this update as my notice to server administrators that sometime in January(probably), I will be changing both Grand and Mithril level armor so that it does different things. - New emitter for bard music-themed particles.
- New icon for Artisan, Fecund, and Paladin class badges and most feats.
- Another new admin spell for use with bosses/giving to people if they want to - this one is called "Arestiel's Hallowed Flame". It does damage in a radius.
- Wounding Poison. This is a spell-like ability which debuffs people in close proximity to the outlaw on use, allowing them to attack the target again and trigger bonus damage. It is intended for Outlaw, but due to the nature of how the events only properly resolve themselves on a real server, it is currently admin spawn only.
- Outlaws can now cast Envenom, dealing damage in a radius around them. The effects are probably placeholder, but this replaced their infinite throwing knife.

Changes

- Bard particles now have music-themed particles in them.
- Bard's friendly effects have higher range.
- Bard's Refreshing Inspiration heals for more per tick.

- Sleep spell duration increased by 50%.

- Outlaw infinite throwing dagger is now admin spawn only and located at Item ID 8951978. It is going to be completely removed from the Outlaw kit due to the abusable nature of a completely infinite thrown weapon, but administrators can still make them available as they wish.

- Eldritch Storm Circle(PvE) now does more damage.
- Slight tweaks to radius of Eldritch abilities.

Fixes

- Wildfire Circle(PvE) now does the intended damage again.

Testing

4.4.0 is live now.

New

- Not new, per se, but we are getting very close to good levels at this point for both Eldritch Knight and Bard abilities. I've used this testing period as well to see how existing classes stack up on our server, Maelstrom, so I've made additional changes in an attempt to make each class a little more fun to play in PvP. As always I am interested in feedback from other servers who actively use this mod in PvP(and what other mods you employ at the same time!) for comparison. In particular, since Eldritch Knight and Bard abilities are very new, have you used them? What do you think?
- I consider the "Bard" feat to be a fully functional magic kit on its own now and thus the abilities are no longer considered in testing. They work exactly as intended and their values have been judged to be appropriate for use with the other spells in the mod. Entertainers will be able to learn the feat "Bard" by default, but server administrators can block feat ID #8995008 if they do not wish for their Entertainers to learn Bard abilities.

Changes

- Sleep spell should now last longer than one second.

- Eldritch Knight Regeneration reduced by 30%.

- Warcry of Slaughter has been improved by about 15%.

- Faith caster's repulsion now reduces damage done by targets hit for 8 seconds.
- Faith caster's shield(invulnerability) now lasts for 8 seconds instead of 6 seconds.

- Hoarfrost Circle casting effects are less blinding.
- Magi Missiles had their base damage increased by 10.

- Wildfire Circle and Wildfire Cone(PvP) have had their base damage reduced by about 33% to account for their much more spammable nature.

Fixes

- Judgment spell for Paladin now has the proper name.

Testing

4.3.15 is live now.

New

- Spell that causes knockout for testing. This will likely never be given to a class and should only work on players, but administrators are welcome to try it if it replicates properly. :^)
- Paladin AoE instant damage ability version of Smite called Judgment.
- Ranger has received its own version of Root which is instant cast.

- Some spells have received new casting effects with reduced intensity compared to their previous emitters:

Hoarfrost Circle PvE

Changes

- Orange boss missle(and efreet missile) no longer depletes hydration.

- Eldritch Knight spells have been reduced in effectiveness across the board but they have been made instant cast.
Eldritch Storm has had its range reduced by 50%.
Eldritch Regeneration has had its healing reduced by 25%.
Eldritch Grasp has had its range reduced by 25%.

- Bard spells have been made instant cast.
- Fighter Terrify now lasts half a second longer and when removed applies a single stack of severe cripple.
- Warcry of Precision is 25% stronger.
- Warlock Life Drain should now heal for an amount greater than 1 per tick.
- Wildfire Circle, PvP and PvE versions are now more red and less yellow.

Fixes

- Orichalcum and Mithril random damage was entirely too high after the switchover. This has been corrected, though the value might need to be changed.

Testing

- An AoE buff that increases strength and agility damage of allies within the radius.
- An AoE buff that applies a regeneration effect for allies.
- An AoE debuff that does damage in a pulse.
- An AoE debuff that reduces armor in a pulse.
- An AoE debuff that decreases enemy damage done in a pulse. This and the two above them are intended to be used by the Entertainer class, however, they are not available at the moment and likely will not be for a while. Server administrators can make these spells available if they find that the values and effects do not disrupt gameplay on their servers.
