v1.11 Patch Notes
I have plans to rework most of DSpecial's trap sprites and make them much bigger and impactful, but I don't have much time on my hands at the moment, so this'll have to do for now.

Up Strong:
+ Increased knockback growth on the bottom 3 hits of UStrong by .1.
Down Special:
+ Added sound effects on activating DSpecial traps, and removed some hit sfx on traps where they’re now not needed.
+ Increased Abyss DSpecial hitbox size from 40x40 > 42x42.
+ Increased Air DSpecial hitbox size from 50x50 > 54x54, and increased number of loops from 8 to 12.
+ Increased Fire DSpecial hitbox size from 40x40 > 44x44, and its damage from 8% > 10%.
+- Increased Earth DSpecial hitbox size from 142x24 > 152x24, increased its hitbox duration from 10 > 11, increased its damage from 7% > 8%, and decreased its knockback angle from 85 > 80.

v1.1 Patch Notes

General:
+- Redid hitpause and hitpause scaling across the board to be more in-line with base cast. This should hopefully make everything feel more natural to land.
- Wall Cling timer reduced to that of base cast.
+ All boosted tail attacks now deal an additional 1% of damage.
Forward Tilt:
+ Slightly decreased startup.
Forward Strong:
+ Increased base knockback and knockback growth.
Up Strong:
+ Slightly decreased endlag.
+ Increased knockback growth.
Down Strong:
+ Increased knockback growth.
Back Air:
- Decreased damage of standard BAir by 1%.
+- Decreased base knockback and increased knockback growth.
Up Air:
- Decreased damage of standard UAir by 1%.
+ Increased knockback growth on the normal and boosted versions of the attack.
Down Air:
+ Changed hitbox shape of initial hit from an oval to a rounded rectangle to make the hitbox slightly more forgiving.
Neutral Special:
+ Selecting an element or exiting NSpecial now gives Valu a small jump while airborne once per airtime.
+- Further decreased gravity, initial dash, and dash speeds while in Air NSpecial.
+- Further increased max jump hsp, max air speed, and air acceleration, as well as decreased weight while in Fire NSpecial.
+- Further increased roll speed and air dodge speed, as well as damage multiplier while in Water NSpecial.
+- Further increased dash speed and decreased jump height while in Earth NSpecial.
Forward Special:
+ Greatly decreased start up.
+ Halts some of Valu’s momentum and decreases his gravity when used in the air once per airtime.
+ Fire projectile is slightly bigger and now creates a small explosion at the end of its travel time.
+ Fixed the thorns spawned by the Earth projectile changing direction visually whenever Valu turned around.
Up Special
+- Stomping on an opponent with USpecial now sends at a different angle depending on Valu’s current element. Air launches upwards, Fire launches forwards, Water launches backwards, and Earth spikes downwards.
- Valu can now only USpecial once per airtime, refreshing upon wall jumping and being hit, similar to base cast recoveries.
- Disabled USpecial tongue hitbox just after it starts retracting.
+- Added a brief pause on Valu whenever he successfully grabs with USpecial before being pulled towards his grapple point.
+ Valu being pulled to his grapple point can now be canceled into an air dodge.
+ Fixed Valu’s hurtbox staying as USpecial’s if he launches off a wall until he performs another action.
Down Special:
+ Greatly decreased start up.
+ Halts some of Valu’s momentum and decreases his gravity when used in the air once per airtime.
+ DSpecial’s projectile that gets fired while airborne can now hurt opponents.
+ DSpecial traps now persist after being knocked out instead of getting bugged and becoming unusable as their sprite sheet loops.
+ Increased Fire DSpecial base knockback and knockback growth so it’s an actual kill tool and opponents don’t survive at 180%.
+ Raised knockback angle of Water DSpecial and made it no longer have hit lockout, instead increasing the delay between when the hitboxes are generated. This way Valu can consistently hit opponents caught in the trap.
+- Added angle flipper 3 to Water and Earth DSpecial.
+ Earth DSpecial now has extra hitpause applied instead of the hitbox having very high base hitpause.
