Editors Note: Uspecial has taken the hardest hit when it comes to hitbox resizing, as it's extremely more honest and no longer takes up Whispy's entire body. Fair also now has a hurtbox, making it less of a sword move.

Whispy takes root into the Workshop!

Whispy Woods is one of the heaviest fighters. While that may render him a great target, various zoning tools help this force of nature on the battlefield. Since Whispy doesn't have long enough arms, he doesn't have a ledge grab

From shooting bullets of air and tossing apples, to using his spiked roots and branches: this tree is both bark and bite.

Neutral Special: Air Puff

One of Whispy's tried-and-true methods of attack! The Air Puffs act like common projectiles similar to Mario's Fireballs



Neutral Special (Charged): Air Blast

Whispy's Neutral Special also comes with an additional power. If you hold down Neutral Special, Whispy instead unleashes a burst of air which sends opponents away while dealing damage too! The best part is that it can be cancelled by pressing Shield, which will preserve the charged melee attack until next use.



Forward Special: Root Slide

Whispy stands his ground as he forms a Root from the depths of the stage. The attack comes out when you press the Special Button again or when the Root reaches the end of the stage. Pressing Parry will store its position.



Up Special: Super Whispy Jump

Whispy takes influence from the King of Dream Land and performs a monstrous, rising jump, before crashing onto the ground. Much like that move, this can also be canceled... but at the cost of going into pratfall.

If Whispy has a fully charged Neutral Special in stock, canceling Up Special will allow him to act out of the cancel and even use up special again



Down Special: Apple Toss

Whispy's other naturally-inclined ability. The apple bounces slowly across the ground, acting as a way to overwhelm the opponent... hopefully for Whispy. Other details include being able to use NSpecial to have the apples roll instead of bounce, or holding the button to drop two apples instead of just one.
Shielding the apple will destroy it
