JUNE 2025 PATCH

Overall Changes:
- Squishy has received a significant improvement to her hitboxes and hurtboxes, making fighting both as and against her feel more consistent and fun.
- Squishy has also received some new moves and even a whole new mechanic, Squishing!

Stats:
- Updated Stats:
—– Jump Speed lowered from 9 to 8
—-- Gravity Mult reduced from 0.8 to 0.75
—-- Max Air Speed increased from 4 to 5

Jump 2:
- Squishy now has slightly more jump height, as well as a floaty second jump!

Crouch:
- Implemented new Squishing Mechanic
—-- Crouching with a steady pace creates a [Full Squish]. Consecutive [Full Squishes] fills up the [Squish-o-Meter], which allows Squishy to enhance her special attacks, as well as Ultra.

Jab:
- Removed Disjoint Property
- Updated Animation
- Adjusted Hurtboxes and Hitboxes to match more accurately
- Added slightly more startup to Jab 6. This should create a slightly larger window to escape the combo.

Forward Tilt:
- Removed Hitstun Property
- Added Smear Frames
- Added a BRAND NEW Second Attack: “Reversal Sweep Kick”

Up Tilt:
- Slightly Increased Attack End Lag

Down Tilt:
- Squishy has a BRAND NEW Down Tilt! “The Rich White Girl Sweep”

Dash Attack:
- Adjusted some of the hitbox KBAs to more forward angles, so that the full dash attack hits more often

Forward Strong:
- Removed Disjoint Property
- Now has a charging animation!

Up Strong:
- BKB Nerfed to 10 (sour spot nerfed to 7)
- KBS Buffed to 0.13 (sour spot buffed to .095)
- Adjusted Animation
- Added Smear Frames
- Now has a charging animation!

Down Strong:
- Squishy has a BRAND NEW Down Strong! “The Seismic Sumo Squish!”
—-- Pop grounded foes into the air, and SLAM airborne foes into the abyss!

Neutral Air:
- Adjusted Position of NAir 2 to match new animation
- Added landing animation

Forward Air:
- Adjusted Animation
- Removed Disjoint Property
- Buffed Sweet Spot

Backward Air:
- Added some more End Lag
- Adjusted Animation
- Made Falloff hitbox stronger

Up Air:

- Fixed an issue where destroying the axe did not prevent it from returning from the other side

Hotfix: Made Squishy's new taunts accessible

The Resquishening Patch!
Overview:
- Squishy's moveset has been adjusted overall to make her feel like a more viable character, adjusting various moves while also giving her some new ones!

Walk:
Squishy has a brand new Walking animation, something more comparable to a fighter's sidestep.

Jab:
- Decreased end lag on some parts of the jab, allowing you to perform other moves out of it more easily.

FTilt:
- Now grants a brief period of hitstun on the tipper of the attack.

UTilt:
- Lowered BKB to 6
- Raised KBS to 0.1

DTilt:
- Fixed an issue that made the attack unblockable

Dash Attack:
Squishy has a brand new dash attack, pulled directly from one of her favorite techniques!

FStrong:
- You can now maintain a bit of momentum when charging the attack

UStrong:
- Attack now has significantly more range
- Increased BKB and KBS of tipper attack
- Fixed an issue where the tipper would take priority over weaker hitboxes

UAir:
- Adjusted KBA on weaker hits
- Reduced Air Mobility during the tap attack

DAir:
- Now starts out slower, but exponentially gains speed!
- Fixed an issue that sometimes made the move unblockable.
- Adjusted Animation

Neutral Special:
- Fixed an issue where her axe would not fully return to her, leaving a window in which other players could avoid Axe just by standing behind Squishy.
- Slightly nerfed the KBS of the Initial Axe swing. Returning Axe maintains the same strength.

Side Special:
- Increased Movement Speed
- Now grants a period of hitstun on hit
- Fixed an issue that would softlock the character when the move was used more than once in the air.

Down Special:
- Increased KBS
- Reduced Startup. Counter now activates frame 1. This is on par with counters in the base cast.

Forward Throw:
Squishy has a brand new Forward Throw, inspired by this goofy thing she does when jokingly threatening me.

Back Throw:
Squishy has a brand new Back Throw, to her request.
- Now sends up and forward, I promise this feels cool to do.

Down Throw:
- Now sends backward

Ultra:
- Added some new sounds and effects

Victory:
- Slowed the speed of the victory squish, allowing you to hear the sound effect in full

Taunts:
- Squishy has new taunts, including more roasts, and a new, vaguely creepy Up Taunt!

August ?24 Balance Patch:

Jab
-Adjusted the KB of the Jab Combo so the attacks hit more consistently
Down Strong
-Hitbox Size Reduced-Attack now hits airborne opponents
Neutral Air
-Can now be turned around on a whim-Can be canceled into just about anything on hit.
Up Air
-Upward Axe now has priority over Propeller Ponytail. Propeller Ponytail can be used by holding the attack button down, while Upward Axe can be used with a simple press-Second Attack comes out much sooner. Activates in 7 and 21 frames
Down Air
-Increased Startup frames (was 13, is now 15)
Neutral Special
-The Axe no longer bounces off walls or glides along sloped ground
Side Special
-End lags lasts 10 frames longer on whiff-Startup is 10 frames longer-Added new animation for when the attack is blocked
Taunts
-Squishy has a brand new taunt. Input it by holding down and taunting.

Ultra Title Card Hotfix

The "Get off my Back, April" Patch

Jab:
- Startup Reduced by -2 Frames (Attack comes out frame 4 now)
- Tweaked several beats and hitboxes so they hit more consistently.

Forward Smack:
- Damage Reduced to 12 (was 14)
- Drop off Damage Reduced to 8 (was 12)
- Removed Super Armor from the attack
- KBS increased to 0.09 (was 0.08)

UStrong:
- The attack now has a relatively fast startup (13f), and longer endlag (25f)
- The attack now lasts for 3 frames instead of just 1.
- Increased Hitbox Size
Neutral Air:
- Hitbox Size Increased (Now lands higher up on the character)

Up Air:
- Up Air can now be canceled into a secondary up air. It’s an extremely powerful axe swing that will almost certainly net a KO in most cases. This attack comes with the caveat of an absurd amount of startup. This attack is a hard read in every sense of the term.
Stats:
- Damage:9
- BKB:7
- KBS:0.15
- Angle:90
- This attack has weaker scaling during the later active frames (drops to .075)


Neutral Special:
- Attack has new framedata:
-- 27 frame of startup
-- Projectiles become active on frame 28
-- 39 frames of endlag
- Axe Speed reduced to 50 (was 60)
- Squishy can now move slightly during the attack

- Squishy now travels further during Sibe B (~ 2 metric Squishys further)
- KBS Increased to 0.1 (was 0)

Up Special:
- Squishy now has Dragon-Punch style invulnerability during the startup of the attack.
- KBS increased to 0.09 (was 0.08)
- BKB on the Dropoff increased to 0.09 (was 0.07)
- Increased Hitbox Size (covers lower on the character)

Down Special:
- KBS increased to 0.05 (was 0.0)

Getup Attack:
- Increased Hitbox Size
- BKB Increased to 12 (was 9)

Ultra:
- New Sound Effects
- New Title Card
- New Ending Attack

Cinematics:
Squishy has new intro and victory animations, and a brand new taunt!
- The taunt has a 1%jokebox that can be canceled on hit into any other attack. Use at your own risk lol
