Release v1.1
  • Added a new Oxygen system for underwater. You will now begin drowning if you stay underwater too long
  • Added new ConVar "drs_underwater_time" which controls how much oxygen players have. Set to -1 to disable
  • Reduced default Recover delay to 1 second
  • Fixed names above heads not appearing from certain angles
  • (Hopefully) fixed an issue relating to BoostToggleTime on Clientside
  • Cars now shut down when their driver dies or leaves the car
  • Reduced minimum step height for stepping to take place to 0 (was 2). This should make it work on even the tiniest of bumps, but will also make it trigger more often on inclines like hills.

  • Fixed Language files not being able to be loaded
  • Fixed Boosting not depending on the relevant ConVars
  • Renamed Unstuck to Recover
  • Recover is now also able to recreate wheels that may have been destroyed or for any other reason don't exist
  • Recover prompt now only appears in more relevant situations (You can still use it manually whenever you stand still)
  • Added a new "frictionless" mechanic meant to save players from the wall glue bug as much as possible. Whenever wheels collide with a wall on the side, they will become frictionless until there is no longer a wall at that side. This makes them no longer grind to a halt when rubbing against the wall

  • Added player Avatars to names above heads
  • Improved visibility and detection of names above heads
  • Names above heads are now larger at a distance to make them easier to read
  • Significantly improved third person camera; It now handles exceptionally well when you are upside-down or sideways
  • Significantly improved stair and ledge climbing systems
  • Using [CTRL] to ledge-climb now differentiates itself from non-CTRL, and will allow you to ramp off of the step instead of just step up
  • Delayed Round Restart until after map cleanup, to prevent maps with large entity counts to cause errors in Car spawning
  • New players joining during Headstart now spawn as Drivers instead of Seekers
  • Flipped the Ping color to the opposite team's color, so it is more clear what it is pointing towards
  • The HUD now no longer breaks if you have no car
  • Maps with spawnpoints where there isn't space for cars are now detected and these spawnpoints are now excluded from possible spawn locations

Beta v0.9.1
  • Hotfixed issue pertaining to removed ConVars that prevented the game from functioning properly
  • Added Close Ping mechanic: Ping will now fade into non-directional rings when you are close to your target location
  • Added "drs_ping_close_distance" to control the distance at which this transition occurs. 0 = Always arrows (old behavior), -1 = Always rings. Any number above 0 = distance at which it fades into rings

  • Added Sonar Ping system (Right-click), along with "drs_ping_cooldown" ConVar
  • Added player names above cars when looking in their general direction
  • Added prompt to hint how to respawn when dead
  • Unstuck (R) can now be used even when not upside down
  • Respawn button on the Scoreboard can now also be used by all players during HEADSTART and WAITING phase
  • Added Language system (so far only English is in the game)
  • Increased Pitch control when in midair
  • Fixed an issue where players spawning inside each other could literally die
  • Dying during HEADSTART phase no longer turns you Seeker
  • Fixed Thirdperson camera not reacting properly against no-collided players
  • Fixed player shirts not having their color set on their first spawn
  • Added a clientside velocity smoothing system to combat desyncing of velocity numbers over longer sessions
  • ^ The above fixes jittery FOV when driving fast, as well as jittery HUD based on speed
  • Fixed Thirdperson having the wrong camera distance if the match started in Firstperson
  • Cars with 0 steer and not drifting will now forcibly have their angle velocity set to 0. This improves wobbliness when returning from steering
