Meta Knight’s moveset is mostly intact from Super Smash Bros., although with some changes to better accommodate the gameplay of Fraymakers. Rush at your opponents with fast attack to repeatedly deal damage, and use your Specials to move about the battlefield and take out your opponents!

Neutral Special: Mach Tornado
In comparison to its incarnations in Smash Bros., this is more in line with Smash Ultimate’s version of the move. By holding the special button, you can rise. This move has a strong hitbox at the start with a weaker hitbox that lingers for the rest of the move. This move will send you into pratfall, so be careful.

Forward Special: Dimensional Cape
This might seem weird to put this move on FSpecial and NOT DSpecial, but that was to make room for his new DSpecial. So Dimensional Cape was moved to FSpecial, replacing Drill Rush entirely. By using his cape, Meta Knight can disappear and teleport away a fixed distance. You can also not move anywhere by not inputting any direction. Hold the Special button to reappear with a slash! If you hit the opponent with your slash, you can avoid pratfall!

Up Special: Shuttle Loop
Meta Knight will slash upward, then circle around into a glide. This move is more in line with how it appears in Brawl than it is in Smash 4 or Ultimate. When gliding, input up or down to move in the corresponding direction. If you either cancel the move with an airdodge, cancel the move with an aerial and whiff said aerial or glide for too long, you will be put into pratfall. Chase after opponents with this move to continue a combo, or use it as a vertical finisher with its initial hitbox!

Down Special: Meta Condor Dive
Taken directly from Meta Knight’s moveset from the Kirby games, Meta Knight dives upward then dives downward at an arc. On hit, this will spike opponents as well as bounce Meta Knight upward. Meta Knight will also bounce upward upon hitting the ground. This move can be canceled with a doublejump or an airdodge after falling for a while, so it’s not a suicide move if used offstage. Use this as a nasty combo extender onstage or finisher offstage!
