Update: 19 Nov, 2024 @ 10:21pm

Version 1.6:
- Added moving cloud animation to the hallway corridor mid-background.
- Improved most of the hallway corridor backgrounds (mostly the ones with windows) . Added window lighting and slight improvements to placed objects to mesh better with the Ruins.
- Edited the bottom foreground to have a blue hue and very faint dark smoke effect. Will continue to mess with it until I'm satisfied.
- Added some bloom effects to alchemy table curio.
- Made the faint orange marks of the corrupted altar curio more noticeable and vibrant.
- Changed the blood of eldritch altars to be darker.
- Changed the text color of the treasure inside secret rooms to be yellow instead of blue.
- Minor changes to the rest of the Ruins' curios.

Expect more updates to room backgrounds, new hallways, and more.

Update: 21 Oct, 2024 @ 4:24pm

Version 1.5:
- Added 5 more hallway backgrounds.
- Minor fixes.

Update: 14 Oct, 2024 @ 6:46pm

Version 1.4:
- Changed the secret room to better reference The Collector. There is a small easter egg for those familiar with The King in Yellow.
- Made some improvements to the Prophet's boss room. Mostly added missing shadows and some other minor changes.
- Made some improvements to the Necromancer's boss room. Added missing shadows and added more detail to the bookshelf. The bookshelf should now fit better with the boss' theme.
- Added two new room backgrounds, Night Hallway and Jailbreak.
- Added 2 new end of hallway door backgrounds.
- Added 10 new hallway backgrounds.
- Changed the end of hallway background.
- Changed the light of the doors when entering a room to match that of the new backgrounds.
- Some minor improvements to existing hallway backgrounds.
- Replaced one missing vanilla hallway background whose lighting felt very out of place.

This is the final planned update. I will continue to bug fix and consider feedback, but now my focus will be to finish the Immersive Courtyard Backgrounds mod.

Update: 13 Oct, 2024 @ 6:00am

Version 1.3:
- Added a boss background tied to the Prophet. Whenever you fight him, the background will transition to his own.
- Added two new end of corridor door backgrounds that are in theme with the Prophet.
- Same as Necromancer, patches are required for incompatible mods. My Necromancer patches will be merged with the Prophet's, so if you already have a patch for the Necromancer, then you don't need to do anything.

Update: 12 Oct, 2024 @ 1:36am

Version 1.2:
- Added a boss background tied to the Necromancer. Whenever you fight him, the background will transition to his own.

Note: To implement this, the info files of the Necromancer had to be edited. This means that mods that edit the stats or skills (cosmetic is fine) of the Necromancer are not compatible. However, the fix is very easy. Simply add the following line to the Necromancer info files of those mods:
battle_backdrop: .background_name "necromancer" .animation "necromancer_animation"

If this is too much hassle for you, then I can make unlisted patches. Just request it in the comments with the name of the mod you're using.

- Updated the Ruins loading screens to match the backgrounds of this mod.
- Based on feedback, replaced the hallway background that has the purple Shambler theme to something that makes more sense.

Update: 10 Oct, 2024 @ 2:34am

Version 1.1:
Heavily edited the following backgrounds:
- Barrels Room: Added many details, some of them referencing a specific enemy.
- Overlook Room: Changed the background to match the hallway background for consistency. Also made changes to the grave and the armor stands.
- Sewer Drain Room: Turned into a room where the cultists dump bodies. It has some hints about the Darkest Dungeon.
- Path Room: Turned it into a sealed hidden entrance to the Darkest Dungeon.
- Pillar Room: Populated by inactive Gargoyles.
- Segways Room: Turned into a room where stone enemies are sealed.
