Hullo, wizards and magic enthusiasts. This is a very small patch for the Wizard based on some player feedback. Did you think the Wizard's F-Tilt killed a bit too early? I did!



Change Notes

Forward Tilt
- Startup frames increased [6 >> 8]
- Launch angle altered [390 >> 410]
- Knockback scaling decreased [1.1 >> 1]
- Base hitpause decreased [10 >> 8]
- Damage increased [13 >> 16]

Update: The Wizard [v1.2]


Hello, everyone. This mod has been picking up more traction than I expected it to, and I'd like to thank you all for for the positive feedback. The Wizard is part of a running gag with my friends, and I started this mod with only us in mind, but it makes me glad to see the masses finding him entertaining, too.

Anyway, this is a quick fix for the character, mostly due to his neutral special not hitting opponents in the air. Check out the notes below for all the info.



Change Notes

Neutral Special
- Fixed a bug where this move did not hit airborne opponents
- Fixed incorrect hit SFX: changed to sfx_firehit_heavy1
- Adjusted projectile spawn height to match the move's animation
- Reduced base damage [7 >> 5]
- Launch angle altered [50 >> 60]
- Endlag increased [30 >> 35]
- Unique animation added for when this move is used in the air
// This one was a little too good after it was able to properly hit people in the air.

Down Special
- Initial acceleration decreased [0.07 >> 0.05]
- Hitbox priority increased [3 >> 4]
- Unique animation added for when this move is used in the air

Side Special
- Hitbox now increases the horizontal speed of airborne opponents by 15% after flipping them.
- Active frames increased [5 >> 6]
- Size increased [45,45 >> 55,55]
- Unique animation added for when this move is used in the air

Jab
- Damage increased [2 >> 3]
- Knockback reduced [5 >> 4.5]
- Knockback scaling increased [0 >> 0.1]
- Tweaked animation to be a bit more smooth

Up Air
- Hit 1 & 2 base knockback increased [2 >> 2.5]
- Hit 3 base hitpause decreased [6 >> 5]
- Hit 3 damage increased [2 >> 4]
- Endlag increased [8 >> 12]

Forward Air
- Tweaked animation to be a bit more smooth and visible on dark stages

F-Strong
- Damage increased [13 >> 15]
- Knockback scaling increased [1.25 >> 1.3]



Unless there are any other major issues, this will likely be the last update to this character. I'm not sure if I'll make more mods in the future, but I look forward to hearing all of your feedback if I do. Thanks!
