Update: 26 Mar @ 9:25am

More doctrine work, and Bug fixing time.

v.3.0.8

NEW ADDITIONS

  • Forward Stance, Pelvis shooting, Air Sniper and Double Tap are completely functional for the FGNE to use.
  • New icon and doctrine in general for BRIMAR, no more Red Stripe cringe.
  • New Quick Release Vest for FGNE. It isn't confirmed to be used by FGNE, but considering they use the same logistic train than the Infantería de Marina, it wouldn't be strange.
  • New optics for the FGNE G45.
  • BRIMAR RTO can use his radio to shorten the calling time of the AV-8 Support. Simply deploy it nearby the Jefe de Sección, and once you see the buff under the commander's tooltip, call the airstrike.

    BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • MP5SD is more efficient with supersonic ammunition (was 7m, now is 5)
  • Subsonic .300BLK is more effective (was 7.5m, now is 6)
  • FGNE Double Taps are slightly faster (was 4.5rps, now is 5.5)
  • Now Double Taps are disabled by default on FGNE unless purchasing the doctrine.
  • Added Chambergos for all EZAPAC members.
  • Rebalanced 5.56 ammos. In general they lose the capabilities of unrealistically piercing Lvl III vests, in turn, they maintain the optimal damage and critic for more time.
  • Rebalanced DMR attack types for FGNE. Now they are about the same as the CETME C or the G36E when no high power optic is equipped, this prevents using the sniper team as an assaulter with the ability of one-shotting enemies.
  • Rebalanced high power optics. To make up for this drop in performance, optics now give much bigger bonuses. The performance behind cover remains unchanged tho.
  • Rebalanced Bolt action rifles. Just like the DMRs, they now suffer greatly of no having optic nor a solid cover.
  • Buffed 7.62x51 Sierra Matchking ammo. Now is capable to deal with Level III vests up to 60 meters, as a way to simulate snipers aiming to unprotected areas, after that distance, they simply aim at the body to avoid missing.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • Fixed missing face texture for several camos
  • Fixed FGNE G45 wrongly giving you the suppressed G19

Update: 9 Mar @ 2:48pm

Finally finished the Harrier attack, more QoL fixes and a new scope.

v.3.0.7

NEW ADDITIONS

  • Completed the AV-8B+ Harrier II for BRIMAR. Now will be available if you purchase the FLOAN Support node.
  • Added Micro T1 with Magnifier to BRIMAR and FGNE. For now only them will use it as there is no evidence of its use in other units.

    BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • BRIMAR Squad Leader no longer moves slower than riflemen. It was because of the Flare Request, however, it didn't make sense for the radio that he always carry on his own it suddenly weighted more than to the rifleman version of the same model.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • Removed Spy Camera from BRIMAR RTO default equipment. Unintended, so now it's no longer in the inventory.
  • Added Bolt Cutters to BRIMAR members. Previously only the Platoon Leader could use them.
  • Added model to FGNE's mesh mask.

Update: 2 Mar @ 12:22am

Balance patch, more doctrine work and small QoL.

v.3.0.6

BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • I don't really know where to put this but... Black Hornet now is labeled just as "Mini Drone".

    NEW ADDITIONS

  • Finally added code to FLOAN Support Doctrine from BRIMAR. However and this is VERY IMPORTANT it is a Work in Progress attack, so DO NOT ATTEMPT to unlock it, unless you want to experience crashes and problems. Consider yourselves warned.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • FGNE Mid-cut helmets were incorrectly labeled as Level III, meaning they could stop rifle rounds. It has been reduced to IIIA, now it can only stop pistol rounds, but its cover area is the same, so you are still more protected than with a High-cut.
  • QoL change. Now you can copy-paste loadouts including a suppressor. It was a really simple change but I had too many things around to pay attention to it, so, many thanks to alex from the DK2 server for doing it while I focus on other things.
  • QoL change. No more waypoint icon replacement from other mods. I finally got rid of the dam lasting problem of Project Ares overwriting the F18 strike icon.

Update: 27 Feb @ 5:53am

Emergency hotfix for 1.0.5 compatibility, some bug fixes, and compatibility for Nowheraki Ground Forces.

v.3.0.5

BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • Reduced effectiveness of EZAPAC "Deep Recon" doctrine. Knowing the position of all enemies at mission start with a whole Direct Action unit was way too over the top, so now you will only know around a 30% of the whole enemy pressence.
  • Reduced cost for COBAT-01 Helmets (was 5BH, now 2)
  • Reduced cost for COBAT-06 Helmets (was 5BH, now 4)
  • Increased armor-piercing capabilities of multiple guns. More details in New Additions

    NEW ADDITIONS

  • .50 cal guns now can pierce the Nowheraki Ground Forces BMP-2 IFV. However, you will need multiple impacts and use either AP or API ammunition.
  • C90 (HEAT) can pierce Nowheraki Ground Forces' BMP-2 and T-72. You will need several impacts of the C90 to completely disable the T-72 though.
  • CETME L Rifle Grenades can pierce the Nowheraki Ground Forces' BMP-2.
  • Shrapnel can now pierce any vest under Level IIIA rating.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • Added compatibility with base game v.1.0.5 doctrine bahavior.

Update: 24 Feb @ 2:23am

Some new working doctrines, a little of balancing and a couple of new additions.

v.3.0.4

BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • Increased BIC effectiveness. It was 25, now 30.
  • Increased BIC use time (was 0.6 seconds, now 2)
  • Increased Medkit effectiveness (was 50, now 60)
  • Increased FGNE's base survival chance. Due to Morsa MEDEVAC rebalance it was of only a 60% even with the perk purchased, now has been increased to an 80% (Vanilla Rangers have 75%)

    NEW ADDITIONS

  • Replaced Double Tap doctrine for BRIMAR. It never really unlocked a "double tap" but a fast stream of lead towards nearby targets, so it has been replaced by a custom version of "Extended Rapid Fire"
  • Carbine training finally... affects carbines.
  • Added COBAT-06 helmets to BRIMAR. Under the name High-cut Combat Helmet, BRIMAR has now access to their latest purchase, only recently seen on their deployment to Romania as part of the NATO East Flank contingent in November 2024.
  • Added Quick Release Vest to BRIMAR. Newest addition to the unit, they started to arrive in October 2024, and have seen their first deployment in Romania. It is a Lvl IV vest, just like the current highest protection level, however, it weights less, thanks to the design.
  • Added new accessories to the BRIMAR HK416A5.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • Fixed the wrong protection level for MOE's shield. Thanks to Sleg for the report!.

Update: 20 Feb @ 7:09pm

A lot of small fixes, some new additions to the working doctrines pool, and a little of balancing.
Remember to restart the Doctrine Trees!

v.3.0.3

BALANCE AND ECONOMY

  • Increased melee damaga for BRIMAR's Pikeman Training (was 15, now 18 per point)
  • Removed the mobility bonus from FGNE's Conguito (not working) and replaced by a conditioning improvement
  • Decreased the Conguito suppression recovery bonus (was 75, now 55), it was a such a strong bonus that made them immune to all kind of suppression, included flashbangs.
  • Doubled survival rate bonus for the Assault Ship Support doctrine in BRIMAR's Doctrine Tree.
  • Removed CETME LV from Jefe de Pelotón. This was an old bind remaining from copying the Legión's structure back in the day, as Legión didn't have any kind of sniper. His rifle has been replaced by the scope-less CETME L
  • Changed description for Sniper Training doctrine. Now it should be much clearer what it does and how to use it.

    NEW ADDITIONS

  • BRIMAR's Night Training is completely functional.
  • Replaced Extra Conditioning doctrine in BRIMAR. Now is a 2 points node that provides a bigger buff when completely purchased. Remember to reset your Doctrine trees!.
  • Now both BRIMAR and Legion Automatic Fire doctrines also enable the Interpreter attack types.
  • Added VHS-2K to BRIMAR's Terp.
  • Added Micro Red Dots to BRIMAR's HK416s. It its their standard issued optic, although they still attach some of the older optics while these new optics reach the units.
  • Added M09 Boscoso camo to BRIMAR. With the deployment in the NATO East Flank since 2024, they have returned to the Woodland pattern, so to reflect this, they also have it available once again.

    BUG CORRECTIONS

  • BRIMAR Terp's SWAT uniform uses the correct sleeve now.
  • Added default gloves to MOE's Undercover and HUMINT units.
  • Corrected wrongly named scope for BRIMAR's AXMC Scope, thanks to octy1432 for the report.
  • Corrected wrong starting gear for EZAPAC, MOE, FGNE and BRIMAR. Thanks to CharkNoRisk(N)_CharkFuRisk(Y) for the multiple and detailed reports.
  • Corrected missing attack types for the SWAT VHS-2K. It happened that with 1.0 KHG had changed the name to the attack type.
  • Corrected MOE Doctrine path.

Update: 14 Feb @ 12:43pm

Version 3.0.2

Corrected a bug of missing hands on MOE undercover operative.
Thanks to Cydonia or Bust for the report.

- Adjusted some descriptions

BRIMAR

- It has been reduced the amount of purchases for Extra Conditioning (was 2, now 1)

- It has been nerfed the effects of Fire & Maneuver suppression (was 1, now is 0.4)

FGNE

- Added effect for International Codes.

BUG CORRECTIONS

- Re-added the missing attack type for MOE's AKS-74U

Update: 10 Feb @ 4:09am

v.3.0.1

Added descriptions for all the remaining Doctrine nodes.

Update: 9 Feb @ 2:43pm

Now that 1.0 is here and the game is officially out of Early Access, so is this mod. Finally, after 2 years of hard work, all the originally planned units are available to you, the player. Does this mean Task Force Toro development will come to an end?
No. The mod will continue to be updated and improved.

All said, thank you to all players who have provided their feedback during all this time in both Nexus and Discord. I hope you continue to support the mod in the future and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Sincerely, Levan.

NEW ADDITIONS:

-Created EZAPAC

New unit for the mod! This time, is the turn of EZAPAC, the Spanish Ejército del Aire's special forces.
Similar to the American 24th STS, they are a little different from the usual units:

The 16 members of the unit are divided in 4 groups, each of them representing one of the usual missions they carry out, be it Direct Action, Tactical Air Control, Search and Rescue or Recon.

-Included new guns for custom enemies.

-Added Romeo 4T Micro Red Dot to FGNE's MCX.
It replaces most of the other optics, as the 4T is the intended pair for the gun within FGNE, same as why the 416A5 practically only can use the T1 Micro Red Dot.

-Added support for Doctrines for all units.

-Created a new mortar type: Flare launch.
This off-map support will call a mortar to drop a flare at the location you choose, illumating the area for around 45 seconds. When the flare is about to run out, a second flare will be launched, increasing the effective time of vision to around one and a half minutes in a
rather big area. Use this at your advantage when running units with bad night vision devices, like the GVN-401 of TEAR or Legion, of if you decided to equip some of the helmets that doesn't support NVG.

-Added AR-M7 as 5.56 AK rifle for MOE undercover.

-Added Suppressor option for AXMC.
Now MOE, FGNE and EZAPAC have access to a suppressor for their rifles. It won't completely mute the shot, but definitely will make things harder for the enemy.

-Created descriptions for every class and banner for every unit.

-Removed "English" translation option
With 1.0 classes have descriptions, rendering this file useless. If you still can't figure out what the texts mean, there is always the option of using a dictionary.

-Created a PVS-14 night scope.
Yes, it is the single tube NVG. With an adapter, it can be (and is) used as scope. Most times, it is placed on the rail in front or behind the actual optic you are using, and it will be seen mostly in sniper teams hands. However, some other rifles, such as the G36E also have this option.

-Added M107 anti-materiel rifle as primary weapon for MOE sniper.
Last unlock for the sniper, and will cost Battle Honors to get. A primary gun rifle, in a similar fashion to EZAPAC's M95, it has the advantage of being semi-automatic, leading to a much higher and sustained rate of fire compared to bolt-action systems.

-Spotter classes now provide a buff to Snipers, increasing the effectiveness of the Bolt Action rifles when the "Sniper Training" doctrine node is purchased.

-Legión has access to a new High-cut helmet.
The Legión has now access to the new COBAT-6 helmet, being tested right now with views of turning into the next Spanish standard issued helmet after the COBAT-1 fiasco.

-FGNE has access to the G19 pistol now.
It isn't standard issued, but several estoles have purchased some units in order to fit properly in smaller sized operators' hands compared to the bigger frame G17. It also comes with the suppressor option, so you won't need to bring the old P320 anymore for that preciated stealth.

-TEAR/BRIMAR has access to G45 pistol.
A very recent 2024 incorporation, they are being issued to the Officers and NCO's deployed to Romania in the NATO reinforced contingent and are not completely available for the whole unit, so they are unlocked via Battle Honors.

-The CETME AMELI now has its own firing sound.

-The mod has native compatibility with both In-game Camo Selector (by AnthonyDnB) and Trooper Toolkit (by Sly).
Bear in mind that Camo Selector and Toolkit have a very different approach to the use of custom slots and how they're displayed. If you want complete control about what is displayed on your trooper, I highly recommend to use Trooper Toolkit, on the other hand, if you just want a "plug & play" customization, go for In-game Camo Selector

-Added AN/PVS-27 Night Scope.
Just like the standard G36 got an holographic sight with a night visor, now it's the turn for the long range guns. The PVS-27 is the standard device all snipers of MCOE use. It is in essence a device that is put in front of your preferred optic, allowing its use at night.
It is cumbersome, and takes quite a bit on your rail, so expect it to appear only on the most modern and larger frames.

-Added M59 Rocoso camo for MOE.
The very first camo pattern developed in Spain, it was widely used for Special Operations groups since its introduction in 1959 until the adoption of the Boscoso pattern in 1985.

-Added M73 Lagarto for MOE.
Another classic. Issued to the old COEs and African troops. It is a surprisingly effective pattern, but was replaced by the chocochip in the 90s.

BUG CORRECTION:

GENERAL:

- Fixed some localization issues.

- Fixed USP-45 SD ammo sound.
It had a 50m radius instead of the intended 6.

OTHER CHANGES:

-Added Estol III's name (COMANFES) to FGNE's name pool.

-Updated the credits file

-Updated airstrike waypoint icon.

-Replaced MOE undercover AKM with AK103.

-Added Mr Napalm textures for G28
Thanks a lot for the permission. If you haven't seen his Texture Edits yet, go check it out right now, you won't be able to return to vanilla textures after trying it out.

-Adjusted unit banners.
Now use the same gradient style of vanilla units.

-Updated unit descriptions
The original text has been altered to convey a little better the stories behind the real counterpart of these units. Many thanks to Rosh for his help.

-Removed the suppressor switch for FGNE's MP5A3
Now are independent purchases, leaving the MP5A5 as a single purchase, at the same cost.

-Renamed TEAR to BRIMAR
It is just a simple rebranding, the unit still works exactly the same, and has no changes in binds, it is just that now uses a more specific unit patch, the Brigada de Marina (BRIMAR), one of the units belonging to the Tercio de Armada (TEAR)

-Replaced Minimi Mk.3 model.
Thanks a lot to Briz for the textures, and the Mk46 I basically destroyed to build it.

-Replaced Maximi model.
Following the same trend, I used Ares' Mk48 to turn it into a FN Minimi 7.62 Mk.3. Like in the previous entry, thanks a lot to Briz for the original model.

-Replaced AMELI model and texture.
A huge thanks to Briz, like as of lately for his work.

-The AMELI now only holds 100 rounds.
As fun as it is to have so much firepower with the freebie of the unit, it isn't what the model is, and the AMELI is so good that literally gave you little reasons to spend resources upgrading the AMETRALLADOR.

-Replaced CETME C textures.
A new youth for the venerable chopo. It has entered now the world of HD.

-Rebalanced attack types for OPFOR SOF.
Now they are much more dangerous, they got rid of the automatic mag dumps and prefer precise and lethal shots. Be advised, that they have been trained by your own men before the coup, so they know your tactics, and also apply them.

-New vest for OPFOR.
They got rid of their old Level III plates and now are using the same Level IV ceramic plates as your men. However, due to embargos,
