Duskglider (pet)
Showing 1-4 of 4 entries
Update: 19 Apr @ 1:53pm

1. The duskglider has been separated out into two different creatures:
- the base, wild duskglider (higher level and stats, stronger mutations, similar in strength to a dawnglider)
- and the pet duskglider variant, which inherits from the wild duskglider but has lower starting stats and level, to be more suitable as a starting pet, and so that it can grow alongside your character

2. Wild duskgliders are now non-hostile by default. Theyre just chill like that

3. And the big change, a toggle in the options menu to control the spawning of wild duskgliders. This was done using submodule management, which is now a required mod. The option will add the duskglider to the dynamicobjecttable:saltdunes_creatures (which mostly seems to have the effect of making it spawn in desert villages), and adding a small chance for lone dawngliders to spawn in desert zones. Note: even if you have the wild spawns toggled off, duskgliders may still occasionally spawn in exceptional circumstances, such as being a guard for a legendary merchant

Update: 8 Apr @ 6:13pm

Removed force bubble because it was annoying. The duskglider now has a chance to drop a corpse, which can be butchered for a duskglider tail, which can be preserved into 3 Congealed shade oil.
Added to desert population tables as a rare solitary spawn, similar to the salt kraken but slightly more common. Now even if you don't start with it as a pet, you still have a chance to find one in the world and befriend it!
