Change Log
  • Event log now actually works fully - in the bottom left of the game you will see what other players are up to - no longer do you have to wonder who it was that keeps taking damage and is hurting you, or who caused you to get that curse. If you don't want to see these, you can disable event log messages in the Options menu.
  • Fixed the game not detecting when all players have entered limbo -- it will now properly end the game when that
  • Fixed an issue when a player starts the game and does not have `--luadebug` set up right (missing all together, or typo'd); it will now properly show an error message.
  • Added a way to enable extensive debugging when the mod won't even connect to the server.

The 1.8.0 release marks a complete rewrite of the mod, for improved stability, and bringing full lobbies and match making within the game. Various bug fixes and enhancements have been added.

Bug Fixes:
  • Created a list of "banned" items that will be removed from the item pool -- these are generally items that reroll your items, or have been shown to be problematic. They will be re-introduced as that functionality is enabled in the mod.
  • Eden has been fixed, and their initial items are part of the slots.
  • Curse of the Labyrinth (and Giant for good measure) no longer are shared with other users. This caused unexpected issues.
  • Fixed the issue of a character getting duplicates of their starting items.

New Features:
  • All players health is now displayed in the Quick View popup.
  • Chaos as a starting item can now be enabled/disabled in the create screen.
  • There's now a faint, slightly off-pitch Isaac death sound when someone else dies -- just so there is an audio queue that someone is in need of reviving.
  • Added the slot # indicator to the Item Replacement selector screen as is seen in the Quick View.

Bug Fixes:
  • You can now move while the Quick View display is up -- this also fixed a bug where the enlarged map and floor display information would disappear immediately.
  • Partial fix for Eden -- Eden would have the same spawn seed everytime, so would always get the same starting item.
  • Pills that were shared would not trigger a cache update, meaning the effect of the pills were delayed. This has been fixed.
  • When waiting to be revived, you could be "killed" again, causing a damage loop sent to other players, causing everyone to eventually go in to limbo and then die. This is no longer the case. You can blame Blood Puppy.

New Features:
  • The Revival machine mechanics changed drastically. Prior to this, it would require hearts to revive another person -- instead it will now require consuming a slot. The Revival machine, when enabled due to someone being in Limbo, will display a slot # it wants as a sacrifice to revive the other player/players. If used, it will consume ALL items in the corresponding slot for each player, and then revive others. Slot #'s are randomly selected, first prioritized by a slot that all players have an item in, then a slot that you have filled in, and then go completely random.

  • Slots had an off-by-one error - they are now properly aligned.
  • Pills now actually trigger on all players.
  • Revive machine moved to the right - less noisy in the HUD there.
  • Revive machine was not showing up in the ascent - it's now available there.
  • A bug caused the game timer to continue in to subsequent runs. This has been fixed.

New Features:
  • Slot Progression option -- you start with a minimum of 2 slots unlocked; as the players progress in their run, more slots become available. This allows for harder decisions to be made earlier in the game.
  • Cards and Pill sharing are now two separate toggles in the create screen.
  • Create screen will now save your options and display name, so you don't have to re-enter them all the time.
  • Added a "Random" option in the Item Replacement Screen.
