-I do not know why, but i think there is some sort of speed limiter that i cant find in the files. It doesn't allow any ship, on any world, on any computer, go faster than ~1,100 m/s.

-The previous statement no longer applies.

-So far as I know, there is no limit to the speed. Just try not to crash your game. ;)
