Update: 3 Nov, 2016 @ 12:12pm

- Same version as last time, but this is the correct version. I mixed things up and put out an older version, with a different and more CPU-intensive version of the opinion modifiers.

Update: 2 Nov, 2016 @ 12:51pm

- Version 0.0.03, 'Dictatus'

- Credit to ngppgn for the content contained in this update. I helped a bit with some ideas for it, but the actual scripting is all his.

- New events and opinion modifiers related to the Papacy declaring war or having war declared upon him.

- New modifier, "Attacked The Pope". If a Catholic attacks the Pope, Catholics without the Cynical trait,(If you're Cynical, why would you care about who attacks what church in the first place?) will get a flat -50 opinion modifier toward the attacker for ten years. This is not restricted by excommunication, as excommunicated characters might still take offense to someone attacking the Pope, and devout Catholics will still harshly condemn even an excommunicated character attacking their religious head.

- New modifier, "Warmonger Pope". If His Holiness attacks a ruler NOT under the conditions listed below, Catholics without the Zealous trait,(Zealots consider His Holiness to be above the rules of conduct that apply to earthly lords.) will receive a flat -50 opinion malus toward the Pope for ten years.

If the character the Pope attacks fits any of these, the "Warmonger Pope" event will NOT trigger:

The defender is Excommunicated.
The defender isn't Catholic.
The Pope's CB is "Depose Antipope".
The Pope has declared war for his de jure territory.
The Pope has declared war for independence, either on his own or as part of a faction.
The Pope's CB is "Excommunicated Ruler".(The two separate excommunication-related conditions are so that His Holiness can either be sneaky and take the opportunity to justify any war goal against an Excommunicated character, or use the normal CB to force an Excommunicated character to abdicate.)

- The new opinion modifiers aren't set in stone. Will adjust the numbers if necessary.

- Slight adjustment to the "Buying Indulgence" event to remove a couple of things that didn't need to be there.

- The new opinion modifiers might have a couple of unintended results because of the number of conditions for them, particularly for "Warmonger Pope". If anything seems to not work as-intended, be sure to let me know in the comments.

Update: 23 Oct, 2016 @ 1:40pm

- Version 0.0.02, 'Miracle'

- The College of Cardinals once more functions properly, and you can appoint Bishops not in your own realm as Cardinals once more. Many thanks to ngppgn for resolving this issue! See the Discussions thread "Cardinals And You" for more information on how the new script works.

- Compatibility with other mods and with future CKII updates improved by quite a bit. Thanks go to ngppgn for this as well.

Update: 14 Oct, 2016 @ 11:43am

Going to actually start giving these versions names, to help with archiving, and because it'll be fun. I'll designate this current version as...

- Version 0.0.01, 'Deus'

- Due to a potentially-gamebreaking bug with the scripted College of Cardinals, the scripting has been removed and the College now works as it did in the unmodified game, with Cardinals being appointed through an honorary title that can only be given to your own vassal bishops.

Update: 11 Oct, 2016 @ 1:57pm

Updated to incorporate changes from today's patch.

Update: 19 Sep, 2016 @ 4:39pm

-Brought over the latest changes to the game files as of Reaper's Due and the latest DLC.

Update: 3 Feb, 2016 @ 10:41am

- Added a history file vital to the mod that I accidentally deleted when updating the mod. This will fix the Papacy not existing at the start of the game, with the Pope instead just being the Count of Roma.

Update: 2 Feb, 2016 @ 3:30pm

- Updated 00_dynasties.txt to include the new dynasty from the Conclave update.

- Updated feudal_governments.txt to include a change to Muslim governments from the Conclave update.

- Updated 00_Plots.txt to include a number of changes from the Conclave update. If I broke anything with this, PLEASE let me know. I'm pretty sure I didn't break anything, but if something isn't working as it should, this will be the first place I look.

- Updated 00_on_actions.txt to include a number of changes from the Conclave update. Again, if I broke anything here, let me know. 99% sure this won't be the problem if something comes up, but if something starts acting weird, I'll keep this in mind as well.

- Updated way_of_life_decisions.txt to include a number of changes from the Conclave update.

- Updated religious_events.txt to include a number of changes from the Conclave update.

- Removed a number of title history files that appear to not be necessary for the mod. If this breaks anything, let me know.

Update: 6 Jan, 2016 @ 6:55pm

Change Log for this update:

*Christian religious heads can no longer marry, nor can the Zoroastrian religious head.

*The Papacy is now directly selectable at the start of the game, though it is incorrectly referred to as a Merchant Republic at some starts, notablely the Charlemagne start. This is corrected by an event that fires when the game begins, but on the starts where it applies, The Republic is needed to start the game as the Pope.

*Cardinals are now selectable using a targetted decision that places a "dummy" character in the Pope's court who can be given a real Cardinal title. The dummy characters are tied to the actual bishops, and if one is elected Pope, an event immediately fires that gives the title to the correct bishop. (Unfortunately, the AI now picks Cardinals completely arbitrarily, so it is impossible to influence the College of Cardinals if you aren't the Pope. Hopefully this will be fixed in my next update.)

Update: 26 Dec, 2015 @ 8:42pm

Fixed a bug where various vassals would have an opinion malus for "Wrong Government Type". Republics will still have this, but that's because Republics are meant to have that for everyone that isn't a Republic. Tribal vassals will also have this, unless you're of their culture, as that's how it works in the base game.
