So, yeah, this sword is very different from the ones I've made before.
Firstly it's a Jian, The original idea was I needed a Chinese style sword to design, as I want to make at least one sword of each type. (already done Katana, long sword, and scimitar)

And I recently picked up the game _ICEY_ So I figured that was would be the perfect game to work with. ...Unfortunately, After HOURS of searching online, I could not find ANY concept art, or even any promo art that shows the sword in a static position.

So I used the next best thing...screenshots… yeah pixel art is really hard to recreate in 3D.
After a few hours of getting the basic shape, I decided to call it quits, and just make my own sword, it would have the same basic design, but a few of my own touches, in a few more hours I finished the sword and sheath mesh, now just need to do the texturing.

The next day I opened my project file only to find the sword had been deleted,
It's gone from the backup too, all that's left is the basic shape of the sheath.

From this point I decided it would be easier to make a whole new sword from scratch, rather than use the _ICEY_ sword as a base again, so I did.

I had no idea what design to make, when I remembered my first ever workshop uploads back in 2014.
They were for the game “insurgency” and the set was called “The Cyberpunk Collection”

They were very simple mods, but without them I would have never gotten into 3d modeling at all,

So I decided to bring that style back, one last time.

I took the basic sheath I made for the _ICEY_ Sword, and re-worked it, to have a more aggressive look,
And Boom! ICE.EXE was born.

The name “ICE.EXE” is an obvious play on ICEY, but that's not what it's originally from.

The original project files were all called ICEY, And I just renamed them to ICE, when I started working.

Since This was to be a cyberpunk weapon, I just added .EXE to make it sound like a program.
And that fit, if you've ever read “Neuromancer”, by William Gibson. You may be familiar with ICE or (intrusion countermeasures electronics)

So I felt it fit.

I did not even think of the ICEY pun until much later.
