This build includes changes to fix the below identified issues:

  • With a hand item equipped, mount a dino, switch to binoculars, enable nightvision and jump off dino. Character would have first item equipped as expected, but would also be under a perma nightvision buff.
  • With binoculars in zoom and snap shot mode enabled... after releasing RMB it was still possible to activate of nightvision.
  • After doing the above and unequipping the binoculars resulted in a stuck GPS HUD and thereby caused overlapping extra HUDs when binoculars where used again.
  • Extra WC code was executing which caused a confusing and conflicting extra text message to appear when switching nightvision modes.

  • Created function to switch between 1st and 3rd person views. This enables the ability to consume zoom input and remove the odd behavior at the begining and end of zoom on binoculars. This fix also maintains the ability for the player to switch modes while binoculars are equipped.
  • Changed binoculars zoom to make them have more potential range than scopes since this was always intended for them to be the ultimate recon tool.

Bug Fixes.

  • Fix for binocs and scopes not removing nightvision buff if while zoomed in with nightvision activated the user pressed the unequip <q> key.
  • Various fixes for edge cases that can cause the user to get stuck in iron sights mode or the UI can become stuck on the screen. If this happens hopefully when the item is re-equipped it can now clear many if not all of these issues.

The fixes and changes listed below have been completed with the intent of rolling up all current content and fixes in SELMods and porting all of those applicable into SELVision later this week.

  • Improved Nightvision mode of binoculars applied to all scopes...They too will no longer interfere with other nightvision granting objects.
  • Removed no look mode from spyglass
  • Added new locked view mode to spyglass
  • Added crosshairs to spyglas while zoomed in to assist with tracking targets.
  • Removed no look mode from scoped objects. This is now only a special feature of the binoculars and spyglass called locked view mode.
  • Added Digital display of GPS Coordinates to binocular's hud for both standard mode and locked view mode. (Digital display shows coords of player, anolog displays show view target coords.)
