Updated to version 2.8:

Update 2.8 adds Spanish localization to ACEP, courtesy of Io, who spent I-don't-know-how-many hours translating such a text-heavy mod like this! I hope any other Spanish fans will enjoy it, but, I'll let the translator speak for themselves:

¡Hola, comunidad hispanohablante! He traducido este grandioso mod de zoston al español. Espero que lo disfruten, tanto como yo lo he disfrutado.

I'm "io" and I made it for fun. If you like your mod localised to spanish, I can help you. Just write me to christian@camposalvarado.com and I'll do my best.

Updated to version 2.7:

With the 2.7 update, ACEP is now once again meant for the main, vanilla build of the game. As of this writing that's 2.2.6. Please be aware that this means using the mod with the current and future test builds might now cause bugs to appear!

In addition to switching back to the main branch, and to celebrate it, 2.7 adds one new empire to the roster: The Totalitarian Regime of the Presidential Republic of Bandura and its Neighboring Systems.

Thanks again to everyone for playing this mod! Let me also remind you that there's a thread for posting stories and screenshots of your games. I'd still love to hear what you're all up to when playing this mod, what empires you make alliances with, what empires you destroy in your crusade to conquer the galaxy. Don't be shy!

Regarding the future, I've still got a few ideas for more empires left. But adding them might be slow, as I'm getting quite busy with IRL work again. But I hope this latest slate of new empires will be enough to satisfy everyone for now! Happy playing!

Updated to version 2.6:

This version updated the mod to the latest test build, Stellaris 2.2.6. In addition, it expans the roster with two more megacorp empires:

The Star Dreams Company, here to make the galaxy's dreams come true, and producing great shareholder value while they're at it!

And the Silver Fountain Foundation, a pluralistic megachurch dedicated to peace and profit through religious diversity.

With these two, the number of megacorps is now up to 6, which is as much as I have planned for now. But stay tuned, I've got a few more non-megacorp empires planned as I can find time to write them. Once again, thank you all, I hope these are a fun addition to your games!

Updated to version 2.5:

First of all: many thanks to everyone who posted to let me know they were still playing this mod and eagerly anticipating more updates! It was very motivating to hear!

The last update which expanded the ACEP roster is now just two days shy of a year ago. It was intentional that there were no roster expansions till the release of Megacorp, because I did not feel there was anything more to add with pre-2.2 mechanics. But it was unfortunately IRL priorities that delayed this another several months post the release of Megacorp. But, I’ve managed to squeeze in a bit of creative time over the past few days, so without further ado: Four new empires have now been added to the roster!

The communal parity of the Cooperative Confederation of Communities – Their mission is to show the galaxy what we can achieve if we all just join appropriate appendages and work together!

The criminal syndicate of Grandmamma’s Flock – Grandmamma is also really big on cooperation, and she has ways of making sure people are... cooperative.

The mercenary megacorporation of L.A.N.C.E. Corp. – Here to provide the galaxy with everything it needs in case cooperation doesn’t succeed.

And last but not least, the subversive cult of K.A.R.M.A. Inc. – Don’t believe in KARMA(tm)? Don’t worry, that doesn’t stop them.

I have further expansion planned, as I can make time for it. But with these additions joining the existing two megacorp civilizations, megacorps are now considerably more and better represented in the ACEP roster. I hope you all enjoy playing with and against them!

Updated to version 2.4:

Many thanks to everyone returning or just now discovering this mod! As I noted in the comments several times: I did not see room to meaningfully expand the roster in between now and the release of Apocalypse, but with Megacorp and all its features the roster is set to start growing again!

However, 2.4 does not yet include any new additions to the roster. This is simply a compatability update. Due to the rebalancing of traits in 2.2, several empires needed to have their species traits changed to fit with new trait costs. I've also gone through and re-examined all existing empire's governments and civics, and made changes where I felt it was appropriate. For example, the Interstellar Union now uses the new Byzantine Bureaucracy civic, which is just a perfect fit for their lore and flavor. In addition, I've updated the two existing corporate empires, Sovereign Conglomerates and Interstellar Sales Committee, to be proper Megacorps using the new DLC features.

Please keep in mind, this update is for the current most recent test build: 2.2.3 (1960). If you use this version of the mod with either the main 2.2.0 build or any future more recent versions of the test build you may experience bugs as a result. I normally prefer to sync the mod with the main version of the game, but considering the number of vital bug fixes in the test build I'm using it as the base this time.

If there are no major issues with this update, I will begin pivoting to expanding the roster with the new options and possibilities created by 2.2 and Megacorp. However, I do not expect to have too much time for this over the holidays, so if you want to play over the coming weeks I suggest to start a game now with this updated version of ACEP.

Once again, many thanks to all who enjoy this mod! Happy Holidays, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all!
