@Selak The problems you are having is because I used the old Big Boy & Challenger packs from Train Simulator 2012, but they are no longer avaliable. I do plan somtime in the future to remake this using the new versions

Well I tried to run the scenario and it fails to load saying it could not load van boxcar 50ft about 6 or 7 times. Also on the start it says its looking for the "Challanger 4-6-6-4" locomotive so it shows no picture even though I do have the Big Boy, Challenger and EMD GP9 locomotive add ons and the sherman hill route.

@salvin: yes but steam on most lines was kept in case the new diesels failed

Diesel replaced steam in th 50's and 60's

@ salvin: Actualy steam ended in 1962, when the last big boys and challengers (stored operational) were taken off the roster.

@robmerlo: Ok. Now that the new BigBoy and Challenger DLC has been released, I will replace the original locos with the new version. Hopefuly then that will fix the problem. I will also do a lot more testing before I re-release the scenario, with the new engines.

i know this is nourt to do withnyou but during the long climb when i got down to very low speed the cylinder pressure got down to 11 lbs yet the throttle was fulll open and in full forward does not seem right me she should have been shouting her head off at low speed in stead ofn the half hearted puffing she was giving for most of the last of the climb that was when i was getting the very low clinder pressures

bwan 69 well mate i finally got the big buggar home but had to give up trying to bring it down the hill on the air brakes ended up using the hand brakes on the last twenty od vechiles as every time i used the air brakes if i tried to release them while still moving spread train everywhere everytime so resorted to using the hand brakes got home no problems then thanks for a testing run got brush up on my braking though

Thanks for the scenario, enjoyed it very much, had a few stops and starts but got there in the end. Thanks peter

@rburkett: I don't know why its doing that to you. I've tested it and that dosen't happen. Maybe your graphics settings are making it lag, so that's why it dosen't load. I don't know exactly what the problem is. Try to load it again and see what happens.
rburkett 31 Oct, 2012 @ 7:03pm
I cannot load comes up as "Scenario faild to load"
Bwan69  [author] 14 Oct, 2012 @ 10:30pm
@robmerlo: About the wheel slip. I accidently set it to wheel slip at the start and forgot to take that off. My bad.
robmerlo 14 Oct, 2012 @ 6:25pm
have tried this one again keep nearly breaking my finger on the sand button to stop the continuos wheel slipping yet the wheels actually show no sign of wheel slip took twenty miles just to get the thing to full throttle and careful juggling of the reverser wheel still ended up stalling out

@donfarrior: Tahnks for the comment. The water intake is the model not the scenario. Railsimulator screwed up on that
donfarrior 14 Oct, 2012 @ 10:11am
I really Really like this Sen. There is 1 thing I don't like though. The water intake is to slow.. I am a cerified fireman for the Tennessee Valley Railroad and have been years ago for the Southern Railway. The water intake when you open the injectors should be around 11 gals a sec.
Bwan69  [author] 12 Oct, 2012 @ 11:41pm
@ robmerlo: Interesting. when I tested It my train didn't do that. Did you rest the scenario form the start, that might fix it. If it persists let me know and I will look into it.

P.S. also if anybody else has the same or a different problem, let me know.
robmerlo 12 Oct, 2012 @ 4:18pm
at 21 miles from home train conmstantly derails speed 42 miles per hour lightly apply brakes to slow down release brakes train derails why

When starting I accidently set it to wheel slip and forgot to take that off. So that might be a problem
MGDawson 9 Oct, 2012 @ 10:58am
I tried playing it, but I was having a lot of trouble getting the train moving at the start.

Cool
Bwan69  [author] 5 Oct, 2012 @ 8:45am
I know but I set it so all the steam locomotives have full water and fuel at the start
Elkyard 4 Oct, 2012 @ 10:03pm
Now did you notice there was only two water refueling points on current map? i was surprised
Bwan69  [author] 4 Oct, 2012 @ 9:47pm
@ Pierre Poutine: If you are going to try it you will need the Big Boy, Challenger and GP9 packs
Pierre Poutine 4 Oct, 2012 @ 9:46pm
I might have to try this one out.
Bwan69  [author] 4 Oct, 2012 @ 9:44pm
I was hoping that they would have made a steam run for this map. When I found out they didn't put one on, I thought I would make one myself.
Elkyard 4 Oct, 2012 @ 9:36pm
Awesome, i was just sharing some ideas about a steam run for this route w a friend, maybe sometime ill try it.. i idea was a tad bit different, and based on another event.. im lacking a couple of dlc for this currently.. just glad someone was thinkin along the same lines.
