I use the peti (basic editor). so can't add music.
even if I could, their would be copyright to consider.
glad you are enjoying my maps.
Thankyou.
I just subscribed.
3 stars, in such a short time. nice :)

By the way: In an indirect way, you inspired me for this map... On one of my maps (or yours?) you gave me the advice to look for some older unpublished maps to see if they have the potential to make something more out of them.
I did that and found an older unpublished puzzle as a base for my new map - I think the result is not so bad... But I am curious about your opinion.
Thankyou for your comments :)
glad you enjoyed playing.
as for the enclosed mechanism.
when the fizzler deactivated. it was so short, that the player often failed, at this point.
so all the mechanism does, is extends the fizzler deactivation, to give more time to the player.
while still triggered initialy, the same way.
ps. when you publish another map. if you leave a link in the comments of one of mine.
I will be glad to play it.
Thanks again for your creative work!
thankyou again :)
not yet.
I have copied your instructions.
so can look it up.
I have a few portal 2 maps, under construction.
plus 1 tag map.
which has the same items in the editor,
plus some extra ones.
one of my portal 2 maps, will have angled glass.
I could never deliberatly do this.
but when I did it by accident, I copied the whole map, using save as.
then deleted everything else & renamed it.
then I could copy the angled glass & even change it to grating.
it is a way off being ready though.
thankyou.
yes, they are not just for decoration :)
I just had to replay this map, to find out.
as I published it 10 Oct, 2012.
so could not remember the puzzles & solutions.
soon came back to me though :)
you used the correct solution :)
& thankyou for using the spoiler format.
glad you had fun.
thankyou :)
thank you for playing, & for the comments.

glad you had fun :)
as for sphere storage:
I had the idea, people might spend half their time, chasing them around the map.
that would be terrible :(
so I thought a simple cage for them would be handy.
as for loosing some:
glad a gave you spares :)
I was glad I had somewhere to store the spheres, I did lose a few along the way due to forgetting to save :-D Really good fun.
glad you had fun.
just subscribed to your map:

thankyou, inspiration: some times from something I have seen on other maps.
or just an idea I have which I expand on.
or some times I experiment in the editor.
sometimes I think of something while making or testing a map.
or while away from the pc all together.
I like to do something not seen before, if I can.
also get an emotional responce from the tester.
you can never keep everyone happy, whatever you do.
but we do what we can & test, test, test.
don't worry about the difficulty of your maps,
I have done a few of mevious's maps.
though had to come back to a few of them.
his 1st map with a mod was the hardest, for me.
I don't wan't to make maps to hard, as it limits the people who can enjoy it.
a lot who have limited play time & may not be at their best,
by the time they play portal.
though, I may do some in the future ?
geneosis has inspired me the most.
Gee, where do you get all that inspiration from ? :-)
The first puzzle got me stalled for longer than usual. **I like that** Many players dislike that, but my prefered maps are the ones where I enter the room and have no idea where to start!
Other puzzles in the room I would say were average. Nothing too easy.
Lovely map.
Thumb up of course.
Because I had to work harder on this one than on your other maps, I feel I'm now allowed to start suggesting more difficult maps of mine :-)
This is a recent one, but probably the easiest from my "Average-to-Hard" collection.
cheers

your welcome.
Thanks for playing my map.
I will play it later.
if you stop the sphere from breaking the laser, the fizzler will stay on again.
this took a bit of figuring out, which is good, as it's a learning experience that hopefuly,
might help me become a better map maker.
I left it visable, to help others understand, in case they need the mechanism in their maps.
did you see the gates I added, just to add a small amount of time, the fizzler stays off.
took a while to figure it out, while keeping the same initiator controling it.
I will try water world again.
added portable area above basket, to portal spheres there. light added there, is to stop you placing portal where it would hit the sphere button & respawn all spheres accidently.
due to good feedback from daloboy, I have extended the time the fizzler is down by adding a gate system.
I have left it visable for any curious player to see.
thankyou daloboy.
I have lowered the portable panel, to prevent an exploit, I found during further testing.
I did previously increase the timing.
if I can think of a way to increase timing further, but while still using faithplates, I will.
if you notice, I had done an update, putting the 2 faithplates on the wall.
this kept them in the laser for a little longer, to aid the player.
I knew you could do it.
this is the solution to the first part, as it breaks the beam, the fizzler behind you deactivates.
as this happens, take another sphere in & place on the button. (timing crucial.)
the button opens another area, if stuck remember title, or ask me & I will help.
I know you are skilled, as I have played some hard maps & seen you were there first.
& you have made good maps, so you are intelegent.
but we all get stuck, from time to time.
I have updated this map.
hopefully it wil be clearer & easier, to see challenges.
moved 1st area you have to accend to,
to be nearer spheres if you need more.
inceased timing on first challenge, to aid player.
added glass to see 3rd area, you will accend to.
remember, I can help if you are stuck.
but will need specific information.
eg, where you are, what you have done so far. what you are having trouble doing.
map now re-published.
thankyou again for your feedback.
