@Macc: So glad no mobs got stuck or lost :) ... I didn't use BSP at all for geometry, that's all made out of static meshes imported from Maya. I'll look into making it look more flowing though, cheers for the advice - appreciated, bro!

Your map is working quite well. I set up deadly strike towers on my apprentice and all the waves went smoothly without any monsters getting stuck or me having to hunt down any strays. I don't know how it will function for a real play through, but it works for me!
If you have some time before the map is due try to add some greater variation to the bsp in your level. It look at things like the bridge and where walls connection and where the floor goes downward and I just see unrealistically sharp edges, which is what bsp creates. If you can, try to put a mesh like a wooden plank along these to smooth this out.

Looks like a neat map, going to have a look.
I think if you played around with limiting the total amouint of defense units you could find the right balance where players can't just sit around behind their defenses for every wave and are forced to do something to survive against the sheer amount of enemies regardless how much damage they can do etc...
we both enjoyed and survived it :)
The amount of times that I have tried to fix the mobs getting stuck on doors is ridiculous xD ... thanks for letting me know which door, hugely appreciated and I'll try to fix it soon!
May I ask what you guys thought of the difficulty? I've had a hard time finding other people to playtest it with me and so I've just had to gauge the difficulty with one player on medium.

we wish that more of the tunnels opened up to maybe another area like the one you had
perhaps as the wave progress open up to another side
so you have left, right , front, rear , top and below and it slowly opens up as it gets harder
