Oh. LOL

@LittleNinja: Light bridges never stopped lasers, and they do not need to in order to solve this puzzle :) See the walkthrough video if you need some help.

Great, exept for the broken part. In the chamber with the speed gel and laser and light bridge and stuff: I guess light bridges no longer stop lasers, so you need to replace it with a wall or something if you want it to be beatable. Currently, the piston can't go down.

Hint:
In the last camera, put the cube inclined towards a wall

Who knew there were so many ways to play the same puzzle? Nice work!
Petutski 6 Feb, 2016 @ 10:38am
Great map with lots of solid logic until the silly trick in the last chamber. Boo... Thumbs up, though!
giberr 13 Jul, 2014 @ 11:21am
Wow, this is great!!

Still can't play Level Up. When people had trouble with mine I had to republish to correct the link. Not saying it's on your end. It could be just me.

Well thought out and planned. Nice compact set of chambers. Very good puzzles. They make you think but not so much you get frustrated. Good ending. Thank you. Come visit when you get time.

Haha, buff00n, I had the exact same experience :D . Found the last one by accident.

This was very enjoyable and I would call this a "Cube Obstacle Course" or something like that. I could see quite a few ppl getting frustrated at the last one though.
SkyRoots 22 Jun, 2013 @ 10:00am
Great map. Well designed. That last one was the real head scratcher,

i think that's the best changing-the-difficulty-of-a-chamber map. LIKE!
Diego 29 Apr, 2013 @ 4:06pm
Very nica map! congrats, got me stuck in the one with the orange gell till i realise that a white plataforme comes up
Geneosis  [author] 22 Apr, 2013 @ 4:04pm
Hi guys! I just played the No Elements collection, and came with my own puzzle without testing elements : Self-correction ^^
Geneosis  [author] 31 Mar, 2013 @ 5:14pm
Thanks a lot buff00n ^^ About the last one, I got the idea for the solution when I was playtesting the other rooms X)
buff00n 31 Mar, 2013 @ 4:33pm
If someone asked me to pick one map that best demonstrates what Portal is all about then I think it would be this one. Everything worked smoothly, and the difficulty ratchets up nicely with each room while still maintaing the same core concept.

It was definitely on the easy side, but at least partially because I've played so many of your other maps. That is except for the last room, which I figured out completely by accident. I don't know how long I might have been there otherwise.
Geneosis  [author] 26 Jan, 2013 @ 5:31am
Thanks ^^ Hope you will enjoy playing more of my maps ;)

I discovered this map today, and it led me to your channel; I'm really impressed! Awesome work
Geneosis  [author] 30 Dec, 2012 @ 2:14am
Thanks all for playing!

@Metzger Ben : Really perfect blind run ;) It show also the main difficulties you can have when you try to solve each puzzle, so this is pretty cool :p Thanks again ;)

Another fantastic map by Geneosis.

This map was tons of fun for me. A few chambers took me a little while, but the last one had me really stuck until I remembered physics is my friend. =)
mood3rd 30 Oct, 2012 @ 5:51pm
ok
Geneosis  [author] 30 Oct, 2012 @ 2:19pm
Well this is not really something I can fix so nevermind if people find it : they obviously know that this is not the intended solution X)
mood3rd 30 Oct, 2012 @ 11:06am
try yourself.
just save, then load.
then the piston will be down.
go onto it.
then save & load.
then it will be up, just exit.
MAJOR BUG.
if you know how to submit the bug to portal.
feel free to send my video link, if it helps.
also, if you delete my comments, to avoid spoiler,
I will understand :)
Geneosis  [author] 30 Oct, 2012 @ 10:13am
WHAT the hell is that?!? XD Well I suppose they saved wrong the state of the piston -_-"
mood3rd 30 Oct, 2012 @ 10:01am
I could not remember the details, I descovered it by accident.
so I replayed you map & did it deliberatly this time.
I made a video where I don't do any of your puzzle.
but activete the piston down & up.
by saving & loading twice.

Geneosis  [author] 29 Oct, 2012 @ 5:21pm
Hem, each room is supposed to be solvable even if you accidentally loaded on the piston -_-" Could you take some screenshots of the places where you found the bugs? I mean was it only because you used quick save or was it in general?
mood3rd 29 Oct, 2012 @ 2:53pm
great map
bug in room with speed gel, laser & light bridge.
on quick koad, I found myself on top of the platform, twice.
at the time, the cube was on portable floor by light bridge.
portal under it, but no 2nd portal in use.
I actualy got off piston in stead of walking to next chamber.
then did a save, away from piston.
next time I loaded, I was back on high piston.
don't remember where I was when I saved.
I exited 2nd time, as bug may have been stopping real solution ?
cracked_magnet 25 Oct, 2012 @ 10:37am
Absolutely love this one. I think its a great set of examples for anyone designing levels. I particuarly liked the siding of the cube covered in speed gel. I wasn't aware of that behaviour and think it could be quite useful. The last one definitely made me think for a second.

If you havn't looked at it already you might like the map I published.

Awesome!
Geneosis  [author] 21 Oct, 2012 @ 2:22am
Thanks all for testing ^^

@i.m.overlight : Will add your map to the list and test it when I have a moment ;)

@Sazac : You did it the expected way.
Owl Valkyrie Quinn 20 Oct, 2012 @ 8:51pm
This was a really good map! I'm not sure if I solved the last room "properly" or not, but I was able to get through by leaning the companion cube against the wall on the button, then portal-ing the wall it was leaning on. XD

Really fun map!
CUMFETKA 20 Oct, 2012 @ 5:37pm
"Love the way you drag it" =D
Cool job, man.
In the 9th room I almost got disappointed, when the cube didn't drop on the button, but then I saw there was no wall =D

Please, check mine, and note something if it isn't right)

That was a fun map! At the end it took me a while but then I figured it out.
Geneosis  [author] 20 Oct, 2012 @ 4:10am
Map updated! Some bug fixed and an easier room before the last one ^^
Geneosis  [author] 20 Oct, 2012 @ 3:02am
@Paradoxq13 : You got the expected solution as I updated the map to remove the fling solution ^^ Sorry, I removed the second comment to avoid too much spoil ;)

@Innocentive : Ok so you got the main idea... Will reduce the available white surfaces to make it less random then ^^
Innocentive 20 Oct, 2012 @ 1:26am
You mentioned that "people only think about placing the ball in the faith plate box and let it bounce everywhere". That's not what I did, at least I don't think so. I placed two portals, one above the faith plate and one beneath the laser grid. Then I let the sphere hop on the plate until I reached the piston platform from where I shot a portal opposite the cube button. However, there are four portalable wall panels. Finding the rigth spot for the portal is trial and error and that was what I was referring to. I think that is the evident solution, nonetheless it took me four or five tries. What would be the proper way in your view? I'd like to try that...
Parachor 19 Oct, 2012 @ 11:22pm
That was an amazing puzzle. I like the trick you used at the end! These really made me think...
Geneosis  [author] 19 Oct, 2012 @ 12:48pm

Geneosis  [author] 19 Oct, 2012 @ 12:13pm
Thanks all for playing ^^

@Innocentive : I think I see what you mean about the speed gel room, will have to make the grid bigger ^^ And once again, you probably did it wrong in the faith plate room as I tried to explaint in previews comments... But the method seems to be too out of the box and people only think about placing the ball in the faith plate box and let it bounce everywhere X) Don't know how to make the expected solution more evident...
Innocentive 19 Oct, 2012 @ 11:42am
I like these variations on one theme and have created a similar map called To Fling Or Not To Fling myself even though it's not as elaborate as yours by far! I enjoyed every single chamber with one exception where you have to remove the cube with a sphere that is propelled by a faith plate ... too much trial and error for my taste until you finally hit the cube. Also I think I found an exploit in the room with the orange gel where you can move the cube outside the grating while you passed through the fizzler . I posted a screenshot here . Maybe you should exchange the grating for glass? Anyhow, another exceptional map from you. Thank you so much!
dubsickk 19 Oct, 2012 @ 10:43am
damn o.O You are genius ;d
PiNkYPiE2020 19 Oct, 2012 @ 4:36am
that was a hell of a challenge....first part was deceptively easy then it got really tricky!
Greaseball Linguine 19 Oct, 2012 @ 12:37am
Thinking outside the box, even for Portal.

Thinking outside the cube I mean...
Geneosis  [author] 18 Oct, 2012 @ 1:29pm
@commander2005 : Well if there is some places where you can't get the cube, I may think about a way to prevent that ^^ Also, people don't seems to understand how to use properly the faith plate when the pannel is deployed on it... I should think about a way to make it more evident... Feel free to propose any idea :p
commander2005 18 Oct, 2012 @ 1:05pm
Thanks for explaination! No, no, the first room is clear :) sorry, it happened, that the cube landed exact in the corner near the faith plate. It was not possible to grab it again. (I know this problem from several other maps :)...Does not matter. This map is super!! I like it very much!!
KeFuPHbluZaBoD 18 Oct, 2012 @ 11:52am
Very good tests. But the last one camera is bad, there's ball is a very naughty, and all the time flies.
Geneosis  [author] 18 Oct, 2012 @ 8:58am
@commander2005 : Thanks for feedback ^^ If you read my precedents comments, you can probably find the expected solution for the room before the last one : You thought it was to random probably because you were doing it the wrong way ;)
When the cube fall near the faith plate, I think you can place it again on the faith plate by grabbing the cube through the grid... Tell me if not, I may fix that ^^
And if you were talking about the first room where you have to use a ball, you could just place a portal at the bottom of the wall close to the cube button and the ball will knock the cube every time ;)
