I also like the sound of this machine's dialogue. It's cute (I haven't played Portal)
However, it has been discovered that their attack power is lower than the original turret, and they can almost only cause 5 damage.
It is often necessary to erect more than one to resist a flying monster.
Don't know if the damage value can be improved?

I don't have it at the ready, but you could extract it from the addon files.

What I'm good at in Starbound is making settlements, and I used a loadhole of sentry turrets in one of 'em.

Yes. If I recall correctly, there is a keybind to repeat the last command, which I used to not have the chat pop up.

I mean it only does 5 damage per shot so its not realy overpowered. I will not lie that its realy cool though.
