You're welcome not to rate here because of that - I fully understand you.
It's just the way I also like to solve riddles. And as this is my first published map, I wasn't firm in the how-to create good portal maps. Whatsoever - they became smaller, easier to overlook and therefore better anyway. Okay, except the size of the "cube", but that is due to the concept and I was looking severely at the connections of the puzzle elements. So you may have more fun in there, even it's quite maze-style.
And I hope to see you someday solving my "Back from Infinity", which is dedicated to one of your greatest creations. (And maybe even ninja-style!)

Well the main problem here is : complexity X) This is so hard to understand what you should do or in what order or which button activate what or to remember which places you already visited etc... Maybe some people like to explore randomly maps like that but I don't :p That's only my opinion so I will not rate it up or down because of that ^^

You haven't seen PortCube yet ;)
XenO 5 Feb, 2013 @ 3:38pm
Darn this is going to take a while .......
Rei  [author] 5 Feb, 2013 @ 10:40am
Ah, that one - right! That means, you found already the lasercube and maybe haven't reopened the end of this tunnel with it, so I think you have failed at jumping back over that pit.
XenO 5 Feb, 2013 @ 2:49am
Mabe it wasnt the first cube, but it was the first one I found. I was running around in the dark when I found an orange gel hallway, a cube at the end, and a pit of acid right in front of the cube.

I'm GLaD you like it, XenO. See you at the exit!
Yes, it's hard to see through though. It's my first chamber, therefore I barely did care about the how-to-build-good-testchambers-etiquette. Anyway, it's for tough men who like way more adventure than riddles! But I don't know, how to die at first cube, anyway. O_o
XenO 3 Feb, 2013 @ 10:23am
Oh wow. This chamber is really hard (or im just stupid). I died at the first cube... That was my favourite part though, i didnt see it coming at all.

Love the chamber though. ^_^

Oha, that sounds, as you are working on Cube instead of playing it ... o_O
Well, you aren't the first who needs a map drawn external for that. At least I hope, it keeps you entertained. You were warned. Thank you for voluntarily entering the Cube anyway!

I'm working on "Cube". I keep messing up my diagram (it keeps running off the page!)
Rei  [author] 11 Jan, 2013 @ 9:56am
Hi KennKong! Great, that you found at least something good in it. It was my first Portal puzzle I ever created and I even did some updates already after better knowing. It was designed for being a confusing dungeon by having-to-find-out what switch does what. At this early time, I thought, the difficulty and fun in portal puzzles lie in being confusing and not-being-signaged. All other maps are not half this confusing and I hope they go better and better as younger they are. Well, except you find the "Cube", as it's really big. But at least signaged where necessary and designed for a long playtime (like the original ;). So I would be honoured if you like the Cube, but if you aren't in big maps, I understand if you dislike playing it through.

Ay, yi, yi, what a confusing mess this was. It took me forever to find the last cube, and I still don't know what a couple of floor buttons and button stalks do. A little more glass in some places might help with the navigation. A potentially good puzzle, but absolutley no fun to play.

Yeah ... hard work this chamber is. Unlogic may many say also. Every other chamber is more logical, even the cube ;)
Happy new Year!
Aardvark00 31 Dec, 2012 @ 6:19am
Wow this is hard work!! I must have missed a cube somewhere because I only got 5 into the exit room. I did open the door though by standing on the last button myself :-D At that point I had lost the will to live so I'm going to try one you describe as easy now.

thankyou
Rei  [author] 16 Dec, 2012 @ 2:47pm
Well, don't worry - it's my first map and therefore crazy confusing compared to all the others, I know. So congratulations for reaching this far: at the first version of this map, there were just three buttons, so you are allowed to feel finished ;) But if you've already killed all turrets and found the exit room, the missing three cubes are already quite near! In the exit room, look close to the walls, if there is something changing on using one or the other button.
Thanks for trying!

had 3 empty buttons at the end.
killed al turrets.
but to hard for me
