good memories
i hope to see a new version of this
I made them mostly with objects in my childhood bedroom. Staplers and hole-punchers for metal sounds. My voice for others. Baby cries. Incomptech music stretched and slowed. All heavily edited in Audacity.
I remembered reading as a teen that the Salad Fingers creator reversed the audio of them strumming a guitar to create unsettling soundscapes. Don't know if that's true or not but I think I threw a bit of that in here too.
i literally speedrunned it lol
glad to see andreas is pretty much still the father of horror mods, pretty much just my go-to games if i ever want a blast full of nostalgia
while a lot of people may call them cheesy and bad quality horror, those 2 factors practically define the charm of 2000's-2010's creepypasta culture, its creative and fun to think about
ill definitely play this whole map once i get the time to, looks like a fun ride
also props to u for responding to comments 10 years later (jeez its already been 10 years)
Yup, Afraid Of Monsters was and still is a huge inspiration. Finding out ruMpel was only 12 when they made AoM was what pushed me to start making my own mods and assets, even if a lot of the scenes were just knockoffs.
I highly recommend anybody try it while they have the time. It's over ten years later, I just got a diploma, and these silly haunted houses are still what I consider my crowning achievement and legacy in life.
VERY SCARY....
