Does it freeze GMod, or does it print a lua console error? If it prints a console error, paste it so we can debug this.
And when you use the tool, how does it break? This will also help us

@greg.g For the face pose or fingers to reset, the only way that this could happen naturally is level of detail, which can change a model’s face pose or fingers pose depending on your camera or player’s distance from a character.

To fix that, open the developer console ( YT tutorial ) and type and enter “r_lod 0” and “r_rootlod 0”. The first command ensures that the level of detail doesn’t change, keeping your model’s face and fingers pose. The second command just sets the model quality to high (similar to GMod’s video settings)

Let me know if that’s the solution to your problem. If not, that issue may be related to another addon which could be causing it

I’ll assume moving a nonphys bone means using the arrows (position) or discs (rotation) to move them. Does this freezing happen consistently with any character (i.e. spawn the kleiner scientist character and try to move his fingers), or with a specific one? What addons are installed?

whenever I move a nonphys bone, the game freezes shortly after. this is the 3rd time I've lost lost of progress in a row in the past 30 minutes

When updates on a workshop addon happen, Steam hides it to check its contents for security reasons. However, since I came along, we were unaware of another step in ensuring that the addon would pass the content check. The long vanish period had to do with making sure all contributors accepted more legal agreements (e.g. additional terms of service), which we had not known about until Penol contacted Steam Support about it. Once that was done, it wasn’t long until Steam brought Ragdoll Mover back from the content check.

Content checks for Ragdoll Mover, AFAIK, take should take about an hour at max (not sure why it’s less), so it being off for 2 days was unexpected.

We hope the unreasonably long content checks do not reoccur in future updates. On the other hand, if it happens again, the latest update to Ragdoll Mover are always on Github [github.com], which you can install temporarily until the workshop version comes up again.

Yes, Steam takes a while to get this tool through the automated content check system. It's beyond our control to get this out "quicker" than it should. Blame them

saw a silly little green thing at the bottom of the model
dragged it
accidentally recreated the scout creature from emesis blue

Hmmm, that's weird. What i meant to say is that the tool by itself doesn't work, even doing what you said. Whenever i have the gun on hand it enables the error messager, and whenever i change to another weapon, it stops.

@NyanCatGamer02 i just managed to simulate circumstances where this issue happens, it appears like some other addon messes up a hook ragdoll mover uses to initialize itself. it is related to drawing the HUD, so functionality shouldn't suffer, but probably having the error pop up is going to be annoying, it should go away if you get some camera tool and switch to its view and back
