Even after selecting my mastery and a skill... I can't seem to use the Skill. At all. i press the button to use it (i set it to 8) and my character just spins in circles.

the mod is great and I'd love to use it but the icon in the buff bar is admittedly super annoying haha. anyway to remove that?

Ok not exactly a fix but all the buttons do appear when you enter a town so.... good enough for me I suppose. I'll just access it when I hit a town :)

@Darkthan9800 This may have already been answered, but when running torchlight 2 essentials the ui changes to not include the buttons on the right side of the screen. Without those buttons I cannot access the mastery tab. It's bound to the same key as the skills tab (s) and I do not see it under the options to keybind separately. Any way to keybind it separately, or otherways allow access without the icon?

@HomuHomu, that sounds like a problem with how you've made your character stat-wise. I don't think that has anything to do with my mod. Also, this isn't a class mod, so it won't have any effect on your class, besides adding 3 skills. The problem you are experiencing must be caused by the class that you have chosen, how you've geared your character, or how you've spent your stat points, not the Mastery from this mod.

this mod have serious fault. i played ranger class. current stat is lv40, 3880hp, and some leech skills. but in battle i lose too much health. when i taking damage from any monster, my hp often drop under 10%. My friend played witch but he lose lesser hp then me.

@Vizaru, sorry about the late reply! I'm awfully sure that you can't clear mastery skill levels, but maybe a skill reset potion would do the trick. That's all I got, I'm sorry if that doesn't work in advance haha.

Liking the mod! I'm wondering if it's possible to clear mastery skill levels? I ranked up two skills, but only use one. I want to erase the one I don't use, as it's bloating my active buff area. Thanks

That was helpful and actually the limitation of the Spell Scrolls and "Basic UI" setting the signal instead of an entire Skill Tree is most desirable for balance purposes.

@steffire3, there's something in my previous answer to your question that was kind of vague. When I meant you cannot add a skill-tree-esque menu, I meant that you cannot add a skill-tree-esque menu that can be used by ALL classes from any mod. This would require every one of those classes having the skills that you made in their UNIT file. In addition to this, what I've found is that there is no feasible way to link the skills you made to your custom skill tree menu that can be used by any class. It isn't possible in the engine the game runs on.

@steffire3, what I found through the development of this mod was that it is impossible (or at the very least WAY out of my skill range) to be able to literally add skills to any class via UI. It just cannot be done to my knowledge. Adding skills to a class during a play through without the use of spell scrolls is not possible, as far as the techniques that I am aware of can muster.

In other words, you cannot add a UI menu that is exactly like a skill tree menu, which is why I opted for what I've done in my Mastery mod, there's a UI button that sets a Stat to a certain value, saves it to the character, and then the skills added by the spell scrolls read that value to ascertain if the player can cast the spell. For example, a Blood Knight cannot use Ranger skills.

Our revision of General Passive Skill Tab would be most desirable for any class.

Thank you Darkthan9800, that did answer my question and idky i didnt think of that before. gonna try some pet damage skulls and see what happens. one thing i love about this game, enough points into a stat and you can wear high level gear at low level. makes survivablility much better! does anyone by chance know when paladin update will be finished?

@christopherstach23, you could also get gear that improves your cast speed, that would increase the amount of raging spirits you could have out at once, since they last roughly 5 or more seconds.

@christopherstach23, what I would do is get gear that focuses on pet attack speed, and pet damage. The gear shouldn't be too hard to find, that's where you'll get most of your damage for that skill. I hope that this answers your question! :)

so i have the skill at rank 15 (SRS) but dont know how to increase its damage. does very little so any suggestion on how to increase its damage would be great

@Kairena Zydrekin, I think that there's been a misunderstanding about what this mod does :) these characters are not classes, so they won't show up in the class selection menu; these masteries are something completely new, they appear in a new UI menu that can be accessed by a new tab on the left hand side of the screen with any class, in game.

For example, I might be playing as a engineer from the base game, and when I hit level 25, I can go into this new UI menu and choose one of these masteries. Next I would have to go to the new NPC's in each town to buy the spell scrolls belonging to the Mastery I chose.

For some reason, the Blood Knight character is not showing up in my selection of new characters. Not even the Exorcist is showing up either. I did follow the instruction to put this mod at the very top in order to function properly.

Hi, yes I do like your mods – they are good and they add a lot of variability. In pack I added icon for this mod ( It’s Here - gDrive [drive.google.com] ).
I would say that Normal UI icon is in alpha – because I did some mistakes. One of them is that I based it on .dds file and not .png (uncompressed), so final .dds need to be uncompressed.
Do with them as you please.

@Sonic.EXE, if you accidentally pressed a green checkmark, or have intentionally chosen a new Mastery already by using the green checkmark buttons, the checkmarks would have disappeared. To choose a new Mastery after this, simply close the game, and reopen it. The green checkmarks should have reappeared.

@Sonic.EXE, There aren't supposed to be literal skill buttons in the new UI windows. What you're supposed to do is buy the spell scrolls from the new vendors in every major city, and equip them like you would any other spell scroll. That new UI window is specifically used to choose a Mastery with the green checkmark UI button, not to pick out skills like you would in the normal skill tree UI menus.

I hope that this clears things up! :)

The only button that is supposed to show up in those new UI menus is a big, green checkmark. If you are missing that, then we have a problem that I can fix.

@nVJulie, this mod adds in a small icon that brings you to a new UI menu that is pictured in the screenshots above. If you can't see that small icon, it means that another mod in your mod load order isn't playing nicely with mine. Try moving this mod to the top of your load order, if that doesn't work, then I'm going to need to know what mods you use. I hope this helps!
