My choice of Materialist also come from this- there is religious freedom in Turian society because there is no benefit to being repressive about it, but I find their collective psyche tends toward the practical anyway.

Tl;dr I didn't put Fanatic militarist because the military doesn't truly define them as a society, but rather an attraction to the public good. If anything they're fanatic egalitarian, but I chose materialist as the third ethic point to represent their well-roundedness.

Yeah they were really difficult to categorize. They have a very rich and multifaceted culture in Mass effect lore. When I pick out the ethics for these mods though, I'm looking at what defines the culture. For the Turians, my impression from my research is that their biggest value is public order, and what best serves the public good. Everything else stems from that.

For instance, my observation is that even though all their leaders and officials are members of the military, what really attracts them to the army in the first place is the desire to serve the collective.

-They took on the Volus as a client race because they had little interest in the inherently selfish pursuit of wealth that comes with business.
-Their society is a meritocracy- the best rise, and while some few are demoted it's not considered their fault, but rather the person who promoted them beyond their capabilities. Again, public good trumps personal advancement.

I would think Turians would be Fanatic Militarists, as I get the impression from the Mass Effect Codex Entries that Turians are basically on the fence concerning the Materialist - Spiritualist dichotomy.

So after continuing to poke around, look through error logs, and lots of testing, I finally fixed the problem. I missed changing a graphical culture in the prescripted_countries.txt when I edited it to make the portraits playable. Thanks for your patience, it'll work now.

Did the error log show anything? I forgot to check after I disabled the mod and played without it.

Some testing narrowed the problem down to just the Salarian mod, not this one. I tried a bunch of things, but for the life of me I can't figure out what the problem is. I'll put a "known issues" bit in for the other mod, thanks for pointing out the problem.

I did not check your Krogan mod however as I have both subbed but have not used them.

I can report that the same happens to me as well, ctd when selecting city apperance.

When having both this mod and the Solarians turned on, when you click city appearance button in new species creation, the game CTDs every time.
