@urdaydreams: Sorry urdaydreams, I was randomly clicking about and just saw your message today, sorry its years later.
I was able to fix it by first changing them to LHD and then renaming the assets, ie to FuelTruck_VehicleNEW. Once that was done LSM stopped considering the fixed assets as duplicates. Now when I set up a bus line I see both the original broken (for LHD) assets and the fixed ones as buses that I can use.
Hopefully you figured this out in 2021 though.

Looks good except the turn signals light up the whole side of the wagon train.

Greetings! I am getting flashing trailers each time the tractor makes a turn. Looks like the illumination map is messed up somehow and now the whole trailer acts as a turn signal? I have checked the textures, they seem to look fine to me though. Anyone any suggestion?

@Superhans109 The issue that you are having is probably that you (as I did myself the first time…) did not change the name of the asset when saving (not the same as the file name) and that loading screen mod thus skips the asset as it feels it’s a duplicate

@Tuga_Venatus the issue is that the asset is broken for left hand drive maps. The vehicles spawn as the vanilla bus due to an issue with the hidden mesh for LHD maps.
I tried to fix it like @jasonyu2005 said he managed but was unable to.

@brandon use "improved public transport 2" https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=928128676 to choose which bus, train, metro or other public transport will spawn for a specific line, just like it is said in the mod description.

How to use
1) Make sure you have the Improved Public Transport mod

Love the assets, but super frustrating that they show up as busses - half my bus lines are these now :(

@jasonyu2005, @vasimr22 or anyone else who knows how to use Asset Editior - Please can someone provide an idiots step by step guide for fixing the vehicles for LHD in Asset Editior?
I tried @jasonyu2005's method below, I opened all 3 vehicles and unchecked hidden mesh for all 3 then saved new versions (took me an hour, not sure why AE is so slow). However all 3 vehicles still spawn the vanilla bus in game.

@vasimr22 otherwise if you have time, please could you fix these vehicles for left hand drive on the workshop?

Those vehicles are not working properly when it comes to Left Hand Traffic, will you fix that soon?

@NOiZE the mod is "Local-Only Transport Stations" but is marked as obsolete because most of its functions were added to the base game when "mass transit" DLC was released, but DLC did not changed aiport and harbour behaviour and mod was still being used because of that.

However after so many updates and new DLC, i am not sure if the mod will work still to make a local only airport, and create plane stops where you wish the planes to travel from/to.

If i remember, you only needed to mark the airport as a "local only" building, place the stops as if it was a bus/tram/train/metro stop, at the planes would take the normal air paths to connect between airports, or if it was needed to create an actual path like we do for ferries/blimps/helicopters.
If Vasimr could contact Boformer and work along toghether, maybe Vasimr could create some small planes and private jets for us to use on the local only airlines ^^

@NOiZE pedestrians would most likely go into that road and break realism.
there was a old mod that could create airline paths and stops for airports and use a specific airplane route not connected to outside connections, i will look into it and let you know if i find it.

Hi vasmir, perhaps it would be interesting to make a smallish plane into a bus, then using invisible roads we could create an airline between towns?

Shows duplicate but does not brake game, you can use without issues, I use them all the time when I make a custom airport..... Currently using the big pkx airport terminal and all assets going around it make it so lively.... Shame it doesn't have so many planes landing or departing as I expected, even after adding more outside connections to the map.

it is not broken. It happened on my Left-hand drive's map... turnout, i found that the asset was set to hidden in any Left-hand drive map and the mesh set to be replaced by the vanilla bus, just go to asset editor, find all the vehicle in this pack and un-check the option of hidden mesh one by one, then save it to a new asset, i have tested and all work fine now.

i ment to make them open, not really to animate them fully. just thought that would be tricky considering they are on akward positions (i mean for the vanhoos bus) in the front and back, so i wasnt sure if they could "open".
and considering it would be an airport bus, from the aircraft bay to the terminal, it wouldnt look wrong to open all doors on the stops created, thats the way they usually operate anyway. its not ment to operate on regular city roads that must open on the sidewalk side :P

@tugs_venatus I haven’t had time to work on any models, but I have that bus in my queue. It’s possible to make the doors “open” by using sub-meshes, however, I don’t think it would be worth it. Also, they would open at every stop. That method would basically hide the closed door geometry, and then show the open door geometry - it would be instant though with no animation.

just saw another model that looks nice to serve as a airport shuttle.
im not a modder and have no idea where to start modding for S:C, but i do feel it would be very difficult or even impossible to make the vanhool bus open the front/back doors, am i correct?
anyway, here is another source of inspiration for a true airport bus :)

would love to have these buses in a airport service, i cant find anything like them as independent bus in the workshop, all the so called "shuttle buses" are only regular buses with airport liveries (if we get that luck).
these 2 options are the true airport shuttle buses, would love to have one of them, or simmilar ones, included in the game.

@ivanfry If you read the previous comments (there are two more on the first page, along with my response), you would know that the duplicate name has been an issue since I first uploaded the asset. I mistakenly included the same asset twice, and didn't think the issue caused by it was worth fixing / reuploading the asset until I have more to add to it. It does not break the game or prevent the game from running.

@ak155275 That's strange, it appears to be changing the mesh of the vehicle while keeping the trailers. The vanilla bus mesh is probably showing up (as opposed to any other mesh), because it is the parent asset. It seems likely that a combination of your enabled mods is causing this, since you are the only person who has reported this issue. You can try disabling most of your mods (except for the ones needed by this asset), and testing it in a new city to see if the same thing is happening. Other than that, I don't have any other ideas on how to fix this.

@ak155275 make sure that you only selected these three vehicles for the bus route (You may also need the Advanced Vehicle Options mod and the Service Vehicle Selector 2 mod).

great little feature which works fine. But am I missing something?
So you need a bus station to be able to place bus stops? (which I hid in the terminal)
All the vehicles have bus skins, so looks more like a shuttle bus service.

@Eep any new vehicles added will use the smaller bus version, but I don't plan on redoing the ones here. If someone wants to redo them for me, then I can give them credit. Otherwise, it is not worth the time and effort of reimporting them (it took between 30-90 minutes per vehicle).

@Fredval It's because the assets are using the bus template, which happens to be massive... unless disk space is an issue for you, I wouldn't worry about it (it's not from polys or massive textures).
