Yeah, I'd say giving one untradable rice unit or a tradable single would make more sense. Wonders that provide these kinds of resources can be much more powerful than what they seem to be from a glance.

Thank-you

I think so
Alyfox 4 Oct, 2014 @ 3:37pm
Does this work with BNW?
lichen 23 Aug, 2014 @ 3:10pm
No yield for rice? 1 food would be pretty nice
inhyeon 13 Jun, 2014 @ 5:41pm
I disagree with the previous commenter, I think it's only reasonable that it gives 2 copies of a luxury instead of one. The Indonesian UA would be terrible if it only gave 1 copy of each - you could neither freely trade it away when playing them nor buy it at a reasonable price from an AI. And playing on higher difficulties, a 'free town' is not happening anyway considering this wonder comes so early that the AI will build it before you can even begin to research the wheel...

I personally love your work, I can't believe how many different wonder's you've released so far! They really mix up the game quite a bit. :) Thank you, your effort is much appreciated!
Pouakai  [author] 22 May, 2014 @ 4:58pm
But what's the point in having a monopoly on a resource if you can't trade it? Indonesia's UA has them get two copies of a resource, not one. And that's three unique resources, not just the one which this wonder has
kamotekamotekamote 1 Feb, 2014 @ 6:06pm
can u pls make a civ for ph?
Pouakai  [author] 12 Nov, 2013 @ 6:42am
Yeah, it does
Grey Wolf 12 Nov, 2013 @ 1:38am
Does this mod generate a new resource (rice) for G&K?
Pouakai  [author] 23 Feb, 2013 @ 1:49pm
Updated city requirement: Only requires Hill tiles now
Pouakai  [author] 23 Feb, 2013 @ 12:38pm
Yeah, there's a problem with getting yields from hills to work. I've got a Lua code from Moriboe, so I'll see if I can get that to work
DCG_Anubis 23 Feb, 2013 @ 1:16am
Hey Pouakai ive tryid to get it to work with +1 food on hills but it wont work.. ive trible checked the lines and rewrote them at cupble of times but to no end.. if you have time can you take a look at it and tell my what im doing wrong...
Pouakai  [author] 7 Jan, 2013 @ 4:09pm
While that would be ideal, the XML code that I use specifies only on a hill, having it any other distance would involve Lua which is out of my capability at this stage
Auguste 7 Jan, 2013 @ 2:26pm
I actually enjoy the wonder as it is -- but like a lot of the ones you've released, it'd be nice if you could ease up the requirements just a little bit -- i.e. to have a hill within 1 or 2 squares of the city, instead of having it on the hill. It would help to be able to have more city choices as to where to place these.
DCG_Anubis 15 Dec, 2012 @ 5:37am
it makes perfect sense ill do thar right away...
Pouakai  [author] 15 Dec, 2012 @ 12:25am
If you wanted to do that, you could add this in:
<Building_FeatureYieldChanges>
<Row>
<BuildingType>BUILDING_BANAUE</BuildingType>
<FeatureType>FEATURE_HILLS</FeatureType>
<YieldType>YIELD_FOOD</YieldType>
<Yield>1</Yield>
</Row>
</Building_FeatureYieldChanges>

With Building_FeatureYieldChanges one tab in from the left, Row two tabs in and everything else three. I think that should work. Place it in the Banaue_Buildings.xml file after </Buildings> but before <Building_YieldChanges>. Building_FeatureYieldChanges should be at the same level in as <Buildings>. Hopefully that makes sense.
DCG_Anubis 15 Dec, 2012 @ 12:12am
okay that would be so nice.. ive been looking at modifing it to give +1 food from hill tiles in general but its above my skill level at the moment...
Pouakai  [author] 15 Dec, 2012 @ 12:06am
I'll try and see how hard it would be to allow two Terrace Farms to be built
DCG_Anubis 14 Dec, 2012 @ 11:57pm
nope but thats would be nice too....
Pouakai  [author] 14 Dec, 2012 @ 1:16pm
Are farms able to be built on non-river hill tiles, though?
DCG_Anubis 14 Dec, 2012 @ 12:52pm
I have been wondering if it would be possible to make the wonder give +1 food from farms on hills witch would still make the wonder unquie.. love the wonder just dont like rice as a luxury...
Pouakai  [author] 8 Dec, 2012 @ 8:57am
I did think of that, but I'm pretty sure it would be too hard
DCG_Anubis 8 Dec, 2012 @ 6:38am
would it be possible to make it allow the player who builds it to construct terace frams instead of giving rice
geldoon 13 Nov, 2012 @ 5:48am
I look forwar to it, though my Tech Tree is getting a bit cramped :) I should also mention that it is good to see some of the late game wonders you've created, I've always felt the back end of the game seemed light on wonders. I undrstand that it is prbably to make room for all the military technology, which, rightly, speeds up in the last couple of eras but still I think it is a shame because it wasn't just military technology that advance exponentially from the Renaissance on (especially the 20th century and, thus far, the 21st) but so did building and architectural technology, so they should be represented in the game as well.
Pouakai  [author] 11 Nov, 2012 @ 10:34am
Heh, I'll see what I can do. I have something special coming tomorrow which will add a fair few more wonders to a certain part of the world....
geldoon 10 Nov, 2012 @ 9:52pm
We'll I should also have said how good this wonder is, I love the idea of having a resource that is only available through a building, especially a wonder which means only one civ has access to that luxury, making it valuable in trades, just like the cloves in your Stone Town wonder. Top notch stuff. Thanks. I should also say that I like the way you're adding wonders from many parts of the world not represented in the game with wonders, either natural or world, especially Asia which seems to be light on the world wonders and I do realise it's probably a bit selfish to ask for another Australian wonder as we seem to be well represented in the game as is ( Uluru, Sydney Opera House, Barrier Reef, Barrier Reef) but national pride demands it :)
Pouakai  [author] 8 Nov, 2012 @ 11:07am
Ah, right. Yeah, it's unused in Vanilla - IIRC it was added with the G&K patch specifically for Neuschwanstein
framedarchitecture 8 Nov, 2012 @ 10:39am
I should be more specific than "base game" ... maybe Vanilla is more right.
Pouakai  [author] 8 Nov, 2012 @ 10:20am
@framedarchitecture: Those are used ingame, and I've even used them before - Neuschwanstein uses them to add culture, gold and Happiness to Castles, and I've used them to add faith to religious buildings with (I think) Borobudur
framedarchitecture 8 Nov, 2012 @ 7:56am
Rice icon is way better than anything I could do! @geldoon Adding building synergies can be done easily through the <Building_BuildingClassYieldChanges> table, which is not used in the base game. <Building_BuildingClassHappiness> does something similar, but with happiness. ~FA
geldoon 7 Nov, 2012 @ 11:11pm
Maybe you could do the Sydney Harbour Bridge and give an extra bonus if it's built in the same city as the Sydney Opera House. Or maybe the other way 'round as the bridge was built first, historically speaking.
Solace 6 Nov, 2012 @ 10:05pm
thank u sooo much for this i really want phillippine stuff mods please add more!!!!!!!!!
Garrus Vakarian 5 Nov, 2012 @ 10:16am
ah yes, that was it. Thanks :]
Pouakai  [author] 5 Nov, 2012 @ 9:25am
@the_yoshter: Try building it in a city on a hill, I think I left that out of the help text by mistake
Garrus Vakarian 5 Nov, 2012 @ 9:10am
hey, i've installed this and it's showing up in the civilopedia and tech tree but I can't seem to build it?
Jabajaaaan 5 Nov, 2012 @ 8:47am
me gays
Snuggly Pootis 5 Nov, 2012 @ 1:11am
Makes me want to eat more and more rice.
Pumba70 4 Nov, 2012 @ 1:22pm
Hey Pouakai, I was wondering if you were planning on making more militaristic/espionage type wonder mods. The base game seems to lack a lot. :(
boyster 3 Nov, 2012 @ 6:22pm
I love the rice resource icon
synulia 3 Nov, 2012 @ 11:13am
Great!
