The gradient represents the different colors that steel turns when it is tempered. Check it out here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tempering_(metallurgy) . The different colors usually represent when a temperature has been reached. For example I go for straw color(light brown) when tempering my knives. Usually 400 degrees for 1 hour. Thanks.

@Ze Plague Doctor on the main menu go to FoF options and my fov is somewhere around 75-85
