Maybe divide all the major regions of the world and make them their own maps, then make the oceans deeper and in each map add like a small area in the sea that makes it unique (like adding the Marianas Trench in a map that includes the West Pacific region), and make the area bigger and mountains bigger (like make the Himilayas a major part of a China and Indian sub-continent map). and Make rivers and lakes acutal water objects instead of textures. You don't have to add cities and towns but that would be fine. maybe add a bridge on the Suez Canal.
