Realistic maps and settings just don't mesh well with cartoon characters, who look out of place and odd when mixed with everything else, like a sore thumb in an array of fingers, in HL2 style alone, it looks ok, because everything is in the same realistic style and nothing exotic is involved, if you add cartoon characters, like MLP Ponies to the HL2 style, something just does not click well with realistic-looking characters alongside 3D Cartoons, so, this just doesn't fit with Half-Life in General, Mixing Realistic humans with Cartoon Ponies that have magical powers, it's like mixing Thunder and Water, it will most likely be disasterous.
