Awesome. I have played puzzles that have taken days too. You have joined the club. :steamhappy:
Grauerrat 7 Oct, 2022 @ 9:17am
It took days, but now I've done it. Thanks
Grauerrat 30 Sep, 2022 @ 6:11pm
@Gilles1946 Did you complete the map? I fail at the jump around the corner. I'll blame my keyboard... and I'm only 55 years old. shame on me
Gilles1946 8 Feb, 2018 @ 8:40am
For your information i am going throught all of you maps. At each of them you will see my note.
I am not an expert, just a kid of 71 years old who like to play portal.
Thanks to permit me to have a look at what you create.

jjgm,
Thank you for your visit and for playing may of my earlist tests. I appreciate your kind words. My later maps are a bit better puzzle-wise I think so I hope you get around to playing them. Thanks again!
Gilles1946 7 Feb, 2018 @ 7:56pm

Nice work! The simplicity of your map's design is really good.
Requiemsoul 8 Sep, 2014 @ 4:48pm
Map with traffic air xD. A lot of fun.
Jade BGE  [author] 12 Jul, 2014 @ 1:26pm
Thanks daloboy! I would have figured you played this long ago - it's so old.
daloboy 12 Jul, 2014 @ 1:07pm
Hi Jade BGE. Always love the double jumps ! Nice one again.
Jade BGE  [author] 21 May, 2014 @ 7:47am
Thank you JayB52, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
JayB52 20 May, 2014 @ 9:43pm
I see that this map has some age, I think that I tried playing it before but finished it this time, nice work.
Jade BGE  [author] 23 Jan, 2014 @ 7:36am
Thanks!

Cool fly test, really fun to play ! Good job :)

I agree. My favorite part is the beginning. Thanks again for playing.

Another Test Chamber that is all about architecture! The first couple challenges were good, the last one was too easy compared to the earlier ones. All-in-all, a pretty good map!

Thank you Warthog Algebra! This is one of my personal favorites as I learned somethingnew during the process. Glad you enjoyed it. I'd be happy to play your test. Thanks again!
Focused Bokeh 5 Nov, 2013 @ 3:23pm
Very nice chamber, Jade! I really enjoyed each puzzle and more so the one where the portable area above and below was separated by the glass with the bottom portable block! I'd never seen that before. I'd appreciate your thoughts on my newest test chamber if you have the time: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=192437919
Thanks! :D:

MARVINTHEANDROID 15 Aug, 2013 @ 3:23pm
Very good. Had to cheat, thanks for the vid !!!
Jade BGE  [author] 13 Aug, 2013 @ 8:36am
Thanks for playing. Looking back at this one I find the last room a bit clunky and not layed out the best but we all start off babes and progress so I'll leave it as is.
Innocentive 13 Aug, 2013 @ 1:37am
Mostly fun for me! I remember that the last room took me lots of time to exit when I first played this map last autumn. But I was young and naive back then ;D
Anyway, here's a video of my 'current' blind run .
Jade BGE  [author] 28 Jun, 2013 @ 12:08pm
Yes, this is one of my personal favorites because while making it I learned something new and used it here.
Thank you again.

Jade
There is a cliffhanger side that I appreciate, if you see what I mean.
Thumb up of course !
Jade BGE  [author] 7 May, 2013 @ 1:49pm
Hi Hayden. I appeciate your feedback. True I like space as apposed to cramped chambers and there is a happy medium somewhere there that might be subjective for each person. In general I try not to make a room too large for the one part of the map that may be involved. And I do not prefer maps that have one large room with the entire map located in that one spot where it is a confusion as to figure out even where to begin.

With this map's last room I did not find that I personally had to zoom it to see well what I hade to do but I do appreciate you felt the need to do so. Thanks again.
mephis 7 May, 2013 @ 9:17am
Hi Jade, I hate to do this, you do great work, but I have a tiny problem with some of these maps. And perhaps they're entirely subjective issues, but I think some maps are just a little to large... As good as they look, it just has a few too many empty spaces. Also my last issue is that some maps require a little too much precision. In this map for example, near the end I had to edge my way to the corner as to avoid the glass, zoom in and wait for the surface to flip back up as the laser was blocked. Perhaps that wasn't the way you intended it being completed, if so, ignore that last statement. Otherwise I love all of your maps, I have no critisism that makes any of your maps unenjoyable! :)

(I apologise for the long messages)
Jade BGE  [author] 13 Apr, 2013 @ 7:02pm
Thanks for playing. Glad you liked it. You must be easy to please because there a lot of great tests out there.
Coirelo 13 Apr, 2013 @ 6:53pm
THIS WAS THE BEST TEST EVER!!!
Jade BGE  [author] 8 Mar, 2013 @ 5:37pm
Thank you ManOfColours868. Was there a section that you were not figuring out or was it a matter of ninja skills not working? In any case I surely know how you feel as I too have come across many a puzzle that was not a good fit for me for one or both of those reasons.
ManOfColours868 8 Mar, 2013 @ 3:28pm
Jade, I have played a lot of your puzzles and I have enjoyed them all except this. I can see that other players did like this though so I will credit you with a thumbs up for it even though I didn't enjoy it. Your puzzles demonstrate variety and that I DO admire :)
Jade BGE  [author] 6 Mar, 2013 @ 2:36pm
ManOf Colours868 I thank you for sticking with it and giving it a try. My puzzle Caged is a nice leisurely play. Perhaps you will try that.
ManOfColours868 6 Mar, 2013 @ 9:20am
I managed it eventually but it was NOT fun
Jade BGE  [author] 1 Mar, 2013 @ 1:55pm
Thanks Genosis. I know it's minor league relatively speaking so I appreciate a major leaguer like yourself playing my chamber. :)
Geneosis 1 Mar, 2013 @ 1:28pm
Nice fling pack you made there ^^ Nothing too hard, but some little usefull tricks requiered, liked it ;)
Diamond Knight 16 Feb, 2013 @ 7:35am
Yeah... sorry for not getting back to you. I have given up. I got to the 2nd part, but my brain just isn't telling me how to advance any further.
Mitch McWiggins 9 Feb, 2013 @ 12:30pm
Fun, thanks!
stormsend 4 Feb, 2013 @ 1:31pm
Well I did it. I actually tried that before and gave up after a few tries. I really didn't think it was possible. Oh well. Live and learn. Thanks again.
Jade BGE  [author] 4 Feb, 2013 @ 10:51am
And thank you for your kind words stormsend. This chamber is one I'm personally most happy with.
Jade BGE  [author] 4 Feb, 2013 @ 10:48am
Well, I thought this should be a common thing to know because it's always how I have exploited many chambers and I wanted builders to learn it and adjust their chambers if need be. I call it a U-turn. You just make a portal along the edge where you want to go and a portal below where you are and jump through whilst making a uturn with your mouse so that you end up, up there where you want to go. It's the biggest exploit I see people make. Surely you must have done it before?
stormsend 4 Feb, 2013 @ 1:57am
The whole thing is really cool. This is a true portal test. I liked the first chamber. Took two trips across before I figured it out. The second chamber only took one visit to the floor before I saw the opening high in the glass. That one was done. The next chamber stumped me. I don't have a clue how to portal up to that opening. Noclipped past it and enjoyed the last chamber the most, even though I don't fly well at all. Beautifully designed and well thought out puzzle. Give me a clue how to do that one chamber and I'll go back in. (I think I'll favorite this one also)
mood3rd 31 Jan, 2013 @ 2:44am
your welcome.
it reminds me of early portal, when we were taught how to portal.
then later, when we knew how to portal,
most of the areas are made non-portable ?
glad your enjoying my maps as well.
Jade BGE  [author] 30 Jan, 2013 @ 7:14pm
Thank you mood3rd that means a lot. This is one of my personal favorites too. I learned things making it that I didn't know before about portalling mechanics. The 2nd and 3rd sections I did because I found many newcomers were having so many exploit problems in their maps because those 2 simple portal maneuvers were overlooked. I'm continuing to enjoy your maps as well.
mood3rd 30 Jan, 2013 @ 5:59pm
ps. thumbs up of course, but just "FAVORITED THIS"
mood3rd 30 Jan, 2013 @ 5:56pm
great map.
I had a moment when I got to the 1st button, no cube in sight,
where I thought I could not do this. about 3 seconds.
but everything from there, clicked into place.
Glados's training clicked in.
I even made the last jump 1st attempt :)
this is a type of map I have thought of doing, but not got around to yet.
I'm glad you did :)
great fun.
Jade BGE  [author] 25 Jan, 2013 @ 5:32pm
Nooooo this is the most fun. I actually made this by accident. I really did not realize how differently one could shoot out of a portal when it is at different angles. Surprize to me and I thought I can use this. portal colors;, shoot blue, orange, orange to get above where the cube is. Using another portal combo gets you above the stairs.
Diamond Knight 25 Jan, 2013 @ 4:33pm
Too tough for me, I guess.
Jade BGE  [author] 21 Jan, 2013 @ 10:34am
Please do. And thanks for your play time I appreciate it.
