@Straton having the same problem too m8

Is the author still updating these mods? The newer unofficial combined patch file makes this hearthfire addon mod crash the game on startup. I can still use the main Drink Eat Sleep Bathe mod, but not this one.

Seriously, I've gained 8 levels just looking for troll fat. How the regular civilians of Skyrim are expected to keep clean, I don't know!

Good take on the hunger/thirst thing. It's taking me ages to sort out some soap though, no-one seems to just sell it, and charcoal is hard to come by. Recommend also using the Charcoal'd Steel mod or similar. I think that just being in fresh water (naked) with the cloth should contribute towards bathed status.

Will milk quench my thirst of no? Yes I am a milk drinker.

@Fredrik hmmm, there is not currently, and I had not thought of that - but now that I use SKSE for the options menu, I'll take a look at possibly adding it in the future (no promises)
Krahn 3 Aug, 2013 @ 11:33pm
Is there a key to quickly check needs and thier progress? If not I would love for one to be in the added.

Then again, real medieval water was often so dirty and infected with diseases, people gave alcoholic stuff to babies because it would be less likely to kill them. So, there you go.

NOW, THE MOD: BRILLIANT, IMMERSIVE, I HAVE LOVED IT FROM DAY ONE, ONLY CONFLICTS WITH THINGS CHANGING THE FOOD SCRIPTS. LOVE IT!

Oh, and Showers in Inns (by [TW] Jokerine) is well worth a look.
Elfreida 11 Jul, 2013 @ 7:04am
(re: @razor) That's likely the result of the load order and having something override the scripts for this mod. See if putting this at the bottom under "data files" in the launcher helps at all :)

(re: Nami Kieran) That's as may be, but it isn't like drinking seawater. You're not going to suffer secondary dehydration simply because alcohol reduces water absorption - you're still /drinking/ and therefore taking in water. No, I don't think it's realistic to go round quaffing mead to sustain hydration since you'd be far better with just water for efficiency's sake, but this is a game and I like drinking something interesting.
Mr. Rathalos 24 Jun, 2013 @ 9:52pm
when i installed this mod i got a sound bug where when i look at an NPC directly it would sound like they are on the other side of the room but when i turn my side or back to them i hear them fine? any idea how to fix this plz?
Nami Kieran 16 Jun, 2013 @ 9:17pm
@razor beer, wine, and mead are alcoholic, and alcohol would make you more dehydrated, making you more thirsty.
bromus 15 Jun, 2013 @ 2:50am
I'm having an issue here. I can't use the spell 'Adjust Needs'? When i equipped it, it won't be connected to neither of my hands. I hope there is a way to solve this, 'cause i love the idea with the mod :-)
Razor 30 May, 2013 @ 8:53pm
I'm having an issue where Drinking wines and beer and mead and such will not lower my thirst at all is that normal I remeber it doing so..but all of a sudden its stopped doing it. All food does lower hunger I might add. And Spring water and River water both decrease Thirst, Just not wines and such
Xombi Qilla 15 Apr, 2013 @ 4:48pm
Thanks, that did the trick. Thanks for the help. :)
moplos  [author] 13 Apr, 2013 @ 9:03pm
@filmguy36 The base mod is required for this to work. Since this mod is dependant on the base mod, the game will crash when it cannot find the base mod. Please read the description above for a link to the base mod.
Xombi Qilla 2 Apr, 2013 @ 3:38pm
Has there been anyone else that has had crash upon opening with this mod? This sounded like a really cool mod, but no matter how I try to load it, my game keeps crashing at start up.

I tried loading the game with only this add-on active and it still crashed so I know, sadly, it was this mod.

Any ideas?
Fyst 21 Feb, 2013 @ 1:33pm
Fantastic, immersive mod. I forgot to enable it on a new character and soon wondered why I had no carrying capacity.

Oh yeah. It was all the damned food I'd been picking up out of habit. *Enabled Hunger*

I love this mod.
Sir Dio 16 Feb, 2013 @ 4:38am
Thanks... Now I can continue my gameplay with the new DLC, looks awesome
moplos  [author] 15 Feb, 2013 @ 5:40pm
New version (just now), sorry about that.
Sir Dio 15 Feb, 2013 @ 12:31pm
It is still not working... Is there a prevision of when will it be fixed? Thanks.
pikmonwolf 8 Feb, 2013 @ 7:09am
The hearthfire food won't work for me, but I have faith it will be fixed quite soon.
RedSheep 6 Feb, 2013 @ 11:56am
Hearthfire food doesn't work for me either.
KyuRizu 6 Feb, 2013 @ 12:50am
Great mod, but Heartfire food is still not working -.-
kerrbrick 27 Jan, 2013 @ 12:47pm
This is has become one of my "must have" mods. I assume this mod is simple enough that Dragonborn DLC won't cause any major probelms? Maybe some new foods I guess ...
Wild Thing 27 Jan, 2013 @ 8:48am
Hearthfire food from my oven doesnt make hunger go down, solution? I have the original mod first then the hearthfire second, would Dawnguard cause this?
moplos  [author] 21 Jan, 2013 @ 9:42am
@PlutoHimself I'm pretty sure there was a problem with the ESM dependancy on this version. I will upload a fix as soon as I get the time.
Initiation 21 Jan, 2013 @ 6:39am
All the hearthfire items stopped effecting anything I have not done anything to affect it.
PlutoHimself 20 Jan, 2013 @ 12:16am
@jfj108 that was my problem. Something happened to corrupt the file on Steam, I think.

@ItsMeRyanB, can you check on your end that what you uploaded to steam has the proper dependency and records? It turns out that the CK sucks basically and can screw you over, because it needed a tweak to open any HF-based file. e.e I think you could stick with the addon, I like the flexibility it offers, but honestly whatever works on your end as the mod creator is good for me.

PS I used tes5edit to manually add the MGEF to every record... that was dull work, but I got it working again, though maybe not to your original plan for their values... lol
Jaradyne 19 Jan, 2013 @ 12:10pm
Recently some parts of this stopped working for me. Steamed crablegs don't fill hunger anymore, for example. The only thing I can think of which might have affected it is that I recently installed Dawnguard. Anyone else know about this?
moplos  [author] 18 Jan, 2013 @ 8:32am
Ok so this has been a problem for a few people it seems. Since that is the case, I'm going to be changing the mod from having a core with add-ons into versioned releases. That means you guys will need only 1 esp instead of several (but for me it means I need to maintain more versions on my side)

I'll work on that for the next release.
PlutoHimself 16 Jan, 2013 @ 2:05pm
tes5edit. It won't even open in the CK, but the error messages I'm getting are telling me that this mod isn't the issue. Sorry for taking up so much of your wallspace lol. Something's wrong with my install, I think, but what changed I have no idea
moplos  [author] 16 Jan, 2013 @ 11:08am
@PlutoHimself Even with the older version on Nexus? What are you using to check for the presence of the magic effects?
PlutoHimself 16 Jan, 2013 @ 3:17am
No I mean the individual food records are missing their MGEF data. I even tried downloading it from the Nexus and it's still missing the information. I have no idea what to do, because it was working fine until Steam decided to redownload all of my subscribed items.
slug 16 Jan, 2013 @ 2:57am
Ah sorry just found out I have to cook it.
slug 16 Jan, 2013 @ 12:19am
I have both versions of charcoal in my inv. I try to bathe says I need soap, did I miss something? Nice mod by the way once I bathe it's perfect. It's working with Pure Water btw.
moplos  [author] 15 Jan, 2013 @ 9:44pm
@PlutoHimself Did you open it in the CK? To properly open it in the CK you need to make Drink Eat Sleep.esp into an ESM or the dependancy will fail (even if it's listed in as a dependancy) in the list. ESPs cannot depend on one-another normally.
PlutoHimself 15 Jan, 2013 @ 9:28pm
My esp is now missing all of the MGEF records for the food after redownloading it from Steam. I have no idea why.
T4dd 14 Jan, 2013 @ 2:30pm
Thank you for your response, doctor! I will definitely experiment with the load order!
moplos  [author] 14 Jan, 2013 @ 1:55pm
@T4dd I don't think that is caused by this mod since I do not alter anything with NPCs or torches or anything like that, but it's impossible to predict how multiple mods may interact in the wild. Perhaps try changing the load order so Drink Eat Sleep and this add-on are the last 2 in the load order?
T4dd 14 Jan, 2013 @ 10:53am
These latest changes are excellent, thank you so much for your hard work!

Possible bug: I am getting a weird issue with followers' torches now... it may be a different mod issue, but it only just sprang up after your update. Followers will be unable to equip weapons and instead have a slowly increasing collection of torches, sometimes in excess of 900. Any ideas?
moplos  [author] 13 Jan, 2013 @ 7:29pm
@Innervator It should be totally harmless since there is no actual effect on that status. If it doesn't go away when you sleep next, you should be able to remove it by either:
A) Using the Adjust Needs spell to disable then re-enable tiredness
or
B) Use the console, type: help "not tired" [enter] to get the spell id, then type player.removespell [spell id]
Innervator 13 Jan, 2013 @ 6:47pm
Possible bug: It looks like I always have "Not Tired" in my active effects list, even when it also shows "Well Rested", etc. Is it causing any changes to my character's stats or is it harmless? Is there some way to reset the mod so that the extra effect disappears from the list?
White Dagger 12 Jan, 2013 @ 3:28am
HI WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO?
Innervator 9 Jan, 2013 @ 4:17pm
Thanks for your hard work. This mod is fantastic.
moplos  [author] 9 Jan, 2013 @ 2:24pm
I don't know how I missed that but I will get that fixed as soon as I get some time. It might not be until this weekend because work, grad-school and Skyrim are sucking away 100% of my time.
