@Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee, what script did you use to make the tracks steer like wheels? In the description, you just say 'Sitoemon's script' which doesn't really help because there are no scripts on Sitoemon's workshop.

can you please add a link to Sitoemon's script if you can? or is there any way to aquire this holy grail script? I love your design and you've inspired me to try and make my own so I can understand it better but I can't find a single script anywhere to help me make my wheels inside my tracks work

Its been long but i built them in pasteable segments, made a chain and then wrapped them

How in the kentucky fried fuck did you make those tracks. Ive been experimenting myself with tank tracks letly and look at this for insperation. But i just cant figure out how you made the tracks

ok so this is a good crawler but you need to find a way to implement the speed a little bit faster to where maybe you can turn it up and down to like 10 m/s at least on flat terrain and you need to find a way to make the friction better just a little more this thing should be able to crawl up some more inclines than it can oh and you need to put a button somewheres on the bottom end of the vehicle so that you can open the vehicle to get in but all in all this is a very good crawler

Yo Bruce, I've been tinkering around with this on-and-off for the past few months, and uh....Well I'm not exactly an Engineer, but this thing is glorious and it's a shame to see it broken. I can't figure out how to get the scripts working again, so steering is busted, but it definitely does move still. I'm not sure if you intentionally made a manual brake via additional rotor-clamps to stop the tracks, but it's a pretty clever idea...I think.

Anyways. I know how ancient this thing is, but maybe take a look at it again when you've got time. Your style and creativity leaves an impact on some of us greenhorns.

P.S. Your Minelayer design makes a fantastic early fast-patrol gunboat, salvaged one from the Space Pirates. Thanks for sharing all your hard work with us.

they changed the hitboxes so many times i lost track of what clangs and what doesnt

Hey, just tried using this again, tracks work A-ok, however the ship at the back, cargo doors and doors don't work. Any insights and/or solution?

you could put a thruster on a subgrid and point it at a bit of armor so it doesnt damage the armor and set an override
gives nice smoke effects

Oh well. It looks nice, but i won't be able to do that. We've got projectors on most larger/complex vehicles to rebuild them if destroyed, and a welding bay to drive/fly/ be carried over to fix them up from the base's inventory.. and fix the aesthetic ejectors. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@ Bruce LeedleLeedleLeedleLee The front door and the hangar doors are stucking, like they did at the Buruj Recon ship (what is fixed now. Still my favorite. One question: How are you supergridding? Do you know a link to a good tutorial or are you able to explain that shortly? Thanks.)

No, the problem is the block limit. Disable it in world settings (advanced)

Might need fixing this. Couldn't get in with the button, and when I snuck in through the roof, I couldn't get anything to work. 2 tracks were locked, doors wouldn't open etc.....

I dont know why but I seem to have problem with every other rotor but the ones in tracks
cargo doors wont open and main doors wont as well or when they do they get stuck
any idea why that is happening?

I don't suppose there's a way to put projectors on the main grid that will then generate the requisite subgrids.

that's cause projectors dont work like that at the moment. they only display a single grid, and this is ~300 grids
