This patch is broken. It causes my civs to be forced to migrate, none of my resources work, and power is bugged.

Thank you for the good time with this mod!

It's not being maintained anymore by the author so.... probably not.
Nilserrich 10 Mar, 2018 @ 4:47am
Will you continue to update this patch if ISB and NSC have a reasonable state of play?
Mutaco 21 Jan, 2018 @ 12:09am
@Crusader Vanguard, ok
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 20 Jan, 2018 @ 5:25pm
@mutaco - If you would like to take my localisation files and incorporate them into a translation or make a translation for me to use, please feel free.

However, I am slightly confused as to what you want to do. This mod has NO localisation for you to translate. Do you mean another one of my mods? Or do you want the original New Ship Classes & Improved Space Battles Balance localisation files? Either way, there is nothing here for you to translate. Some of my other ship class patch mods do though.

Either way, I don't need to give you the files myself for any mod. You can go to:

Steam/Steamapps/workshop/content/281990/[mod id] (the mod id can be found at the end of any URL link for any mod) and find the zip file for this mod, take the files out yourself and translate. You just need to reupload something for me to take if you want your translation in this mod.
Mutaco 20 Jan, 2018 @ 2:28pm
Hello my friend, first of all I would like to thank you for the excellent work.
I would love to be able to translate your mod to PT-BR, you could send me the files so I can translate, then I would send it back and the next update you would release together.
Awaiting :).

@Renegade Prime - This is true, I'll try to improve it.
Shouravik 2 Oct, 2017 @ 2:32pm
Ive been using just this patch as I figured it did both, however the wording is awkward.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 2:24pm
@Renegade Prime - as is described in the "About this mod" section, I like people to the Doomsday patch if they have Doomsday, but I understand why this is confusing. So here is how I explain it to people.

I generally assume that people use EITHER Balance or Doomsday, not both. There actually is ZERO reason to use both, as Balance has everything Doomsday has plus the "balancing." It would be like asking if people ran NSC Main + NSC Streamlined when NSC Main has everything NSC Streamlined has plus a lot more. There is no real reason to.

Therefore, if you have ISB Balance IN ANY WAY, you need this patch. Otherwise, if you just have Doomsday, use the Doomsday patch. Following this logic, if you have both Balance and Doomsday, use the Balance patch because using both makes the Doomsday mod, honestly, useless.
Shouravik 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:32pm
No here's the real question, do I need this mod and the Doomsday compat patch or does this patch do both?
Shouravik 2 Oct, 2017 @ 1:32pm
@Crusader Vanguard, after a clean install of everything this works fine. I believe it was corrupted. No other mods for me have changed leading me to that conclusion.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 7:36am
@Cpt. Kirk - I know. I'm not mad at you. You didn't upload the mod and you wanted to make sure that everyone had a working version of the patch. That I understand and appriciate.

I just don't want that sort of "help" because I cannot make sure those patches are up-to-date, working, or virus free. I don't want people coming back here and asking questions about 3rd party sites, the issues with those downloads, or supporting them when I cannot.
Zag14 2 Oct, 2017 @ 7:33am
sry, i just wanted to help...
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 2 Oct, 2017 @ 6:58am
@EVERYONE - I have just done a quick test campaign with my original files and I loaded the game with NSC Main, ISB Balance, and this patch without issue. I have not heard of any issues with this patch's "partner mod" for ISB Doomsday, therefore I am going with the assumption that something went wrong with the upload and Steam corrupted it. This is not the first time something like this has happened. I have cleared out the mod on the workshop (uploading with no content) then freshly reloaded the mod immediately after.

I need someone to check if this solved the issue or if you guys still receive crashes. Thanks.

@Cpt. Kirk - Please DO NOT post any 3rd mod site uploads of my mods. I do not support them, and more importantly, I do not want anyone trusting a 3rd party site, I don't care how "clean" they normally are about viruses. I also cannot support such versions as I'm not the uploader of my own mod on those sites.
Shouravik 1 Oct, 2017 @ 8:56pm
I'm 90% certain it's just this mod, I mean it has to be. There's no other explanation.
TLO 1 Oct, 2017 @ 8:46pm
@Renegade Prime Crashing too testing my other mods to see if its not just this or something else.
Shouravik 1 Oct, 2017 @ 8:01pm
Since you have updated its causing me to crash while loading.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 28 Sep, 2017 @ 6:31pm
@mettpawwz - This happens because of how the game "determines" obsolete components in the game. In the coding, each component, like say Level 1 Reactors has a coding line called "upgrades_to" and then that links it to the Level 2 reactors, and so on up til level 5. That's where the problem is.

Component mods HATE overwriting vanilla files, as all "experianced" modders do. Therefore, there is nothing in the level 5 reactor coding to tell it that "this mod's level 6 reactor" is the next step and Level 5 needs to be obsolete.

For NSC for example, this means for say armor, the Level 5 Vanilla armor is still shown as "relavant" even though you have higher tieres, so you will always see the highest vanilla tier (level 5) and the highest "mod" tier (for NSC, that's the Optimized Dragon Scales, Level 11).
mettpawwz 28 Sep, 2017 @ 10:13am
Heya, I don't know on which mod's end this is, but the new "hide obsolete ship components" feature isn't working properly (the "best" vanilla components still show up, despite being outclassed by components from these mods), do you know if that's something that could be fixed? Cheers.
Kiyo 27 Sep, 2017 @ 11:18am
Thanks for the quick reply. I tried again and the same thing happened although NCS-ISB Doomsday didn't have the issue for whatever reason. I think I may be reading the requirements wrong or something or perhaps another mod is interfering. At any rate I can just use the other patch and if the problem isn't widely reported it'd be safe to assume it's another mod causing a conflict. I could do some more testing but frankly since the other patch works I'm more than content with that :D
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 26 Sep, 2017 @ 3:28pm
@Spartan-031 - I updated/refreshed the Guardian Event file in the mod. I cannot guarantee that your save will work though. You might need to do a test campaign with a new game, but the Guardian Event file is the only file that could cause what you describe, so hopefully this works.
Kiyo 26 Sep, 2017 @ 2:27pm
Ever since this got updated enclaves refuse to talk to me. I contact them get a basic message but no options on the right hand side. I then have to cancel the window at which point the game gives me an exclamation mark message and "Standard response will be chosen in 2 years." after which I can't even contact them again. I swapped over to NCS-ISB Doomsday and the issue was resolved so it's definitely this part of the mod. Any idea what could cause this?

OP Delivers. (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°)ง
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 25 Sep, 2017 @ 5:38pm
@EVERYONE - Mod has been updated and should be functioning with NSC V7 and ISB Balance. Let me know if I missed anything.
Totally Not An Illuminate Spy 25 Sep, 2017 @ 5:08am
And the Author hath spoke.

Keep up the good work mate.

CDR.Kitten 25 Sep, 2017 @ 1:44am
XD well I mean, that IS kind of obvious isn't it. :p anyway! It just means I have to wait for my next campaign to use NSC haha. No biggie. Thanks for your awesome mods btw. ;)
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:48pm
@Glo Mallows - I'm about to update NSC Streamlined, then tomorrow will be Playable Guardians Standalone, after that I will try to update all my ship class compatibility patches.
Glo Mallows 24 Sep, 2017 @ 9:46pm
Love the work in both ISB and NSC and of course in these compatability patchs. I know you said you can't fix the patch tonight but do you have an ETA of when it might be done? No rush or pressure, just excited to explore the galaxy with both these amazing mods.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:37pm
@CDR.Kitten @Legion - Yes, I know, I uploaded NSC V7. LOL

Unfortunately this means these patches will crash the game with NSC 7.0. I cannot fix this tonight.
Legion 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:32pm
im sure it just updated like now but unsure so yea heads up. :)
CDR.Kitten 24 Sep, 2017 @ 8:23pm
NSC 7 is out now I believe or going ot be soon. Also, this sadly crashes our game when we use it. So that's something to be aware of.
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 22 Sep, 2017 @ 11:39am
@Juche For America - I honestly don't know. You can try it. I'll be updating it when NSC 7.0 comes out, which should be in the next few days.
Zersetzung 22 Sep, 2017 @ 11:19am
does this work with 1.8
bittercranberry 22 Jul, 2017 @ 7:16am
Ah, fair enough.
With all the different patches and other modders I imagine that takes forever
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 22 Jul, 2017 @ 7:12am
@bittercranberry - You are not blind. Ankain and CaptainX3 have to update links, so that takes time.
bittercranberry 22 Jul, 2017 @ 7:00am
Yo, just a heads up this isn't linked to on the main mod page.
Or I am blind which is just as likely.
Nailz 21 Jul, 2017 @ 5:39pm
Ah fair enough thank you for the explanation :)
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 21 Jul, 2017 @ 5:04pm
@Nailz - Not all changes have to be included in a patch, only ones you need to have. This is due to alphabetical prioritizing. In most cases, NSC files overwrite ISB files. In this instance, just like the 00_ship_size files, I found no overwrites were necessary thanks to NSC coming in first in load priority. Therefore, in both instance, you have NSC's version of "balance", which for the moment seems to be the best and simpliest course.
Nailz 21 Jul, 2017 @ 3:59pm
Went through the files as I was curious in what direction you went for balancing the strike craft and couldn't find the files for them or the ship sizes files. Double checked the master patch that included RS and only the RS ship size files were present there. I could be very blind and missing something obvious but I wanted to double check with you on it.
Nailz 21 Jul, 2017 @ 3:34pm
No problem really glad to see this :) Thank you
Crusader Vanguard  [author] 21 Jul, 2017 @ 3:33pm
@Nailz - Fixed. I had to do a lot of back and forth in order to make sure everything was linked and I missed that. Nice catch.
Nailz 21 Jul, 2017 @ 3:32pm
Previous comment should say 'I noticed' not 'notice'
Nailz 21 Jul, 2017 @ 3:30pm
Hey notice your master patch that includes RS includes balancing the strike craft betweeen NSC and ISBB but this one does not?
