Did not play the earlier version. Liked this one a lot. Thanks!

the panel would be covered.
the cleansing gel, connected to the button that dispenses the blue gel.
so when it is in the button, that activates the speed gel, the cleansing gel, would be deactivated.

No I did not try it, but thats because I don't think the jump would work with the panel not covered, but I'll try it later, and I'll take into consideration the placement of the fizzler

the update works with the ramp / speed gel combo.
but the fizzler is very close to the cube button & with speed gel there.
it is likely some players will destroy the cube.
this will cause a trapping scenario.
did you test the cleansing gel idea, I suggested.
mood3rd 11 Aug, 2017 @ 3:51am
not sure without testing.
but if you had cleansing gel connected to the blue gel button, & placed dirrectly above the angled panel. that might wash of any blue gel, the player tries to place there.
it would still allow speed gel to be placed there.
if it does not work, higher the cleansing dropper, untill it does.
so when putting blue gel & cleansing gel on there & then removing the cube, from the button.
the cleansing gel, is the last to go there.

I don't mind having the flinging solution, as it is just another one step way to get to the top, so that's fine, but I might have to look into a solution for the blue gel thing, if you have any suggestions on how to fix that I am open to suggestions

re-tested:
the fizzler is a good addition & stops the player doing unintended solutions, with the reflectors.
you still have some unintended. I never used the stairs
I did a fling, using portals (more fun)
also you can leave the cube on the island button & place blue gel on the flat panel.
you can also take the sphere with you.
(but no use to the player, so does not lead to an unintended solution)

thier was a glitch, I encountered. which I think is not your fault, & might not happen again ?

ok, thanks for the information, I've made a lot of the changes that you talked about in the comments on some of the more unrefined levels if you would like to check those out
mood3rd 10 Aug, 2017 @ 1:15pm
your welcome
never unpublish, as you will lose comments & ratings every time.
just click publish & it updates your previously published map.
but beware. as I said, thier is an occasional glitch, which would cause you to loose comments & ratings.
I don't know why it happens. but suspect it might be a bad connection or busy servers.
so if correct. publishing in off peak times, after checking your internet connection, sould increase the odds of success.

ah, well thanks for the heads up on how the republishing works, the only way I thought you could do it was to delete the previous version and repost it

thier is sometimes a glitch, where re-publishing a map, can cause you to loose comments & ratings..
but normally it does not. all good mappers, will update & re-publish thier maps, if it is appropriate.
you can look at change notes on any ones map, to see how many times, if any, thier maps have been updated.

as for commenting on your map, in the comments on my map:
if you comment on the map you are talking about (eg. fully configurable).
I will see new comments on the steam page of maps I recently played.

ps. I hope you found my comments to be constructive, & helpfull.
(which is how they were ment to be)
& although I did not give the thumbs up on "fully configurable"
I never gave it the thumbs down either.

as dven1 said...
some good ideas. but so many unintended solutions.
their are occasions, where more than 1 solution, is ok. but they are rare.
eg 2 solutions: 1st easy to figure out, but hard to execute.
2nd hard to figure out, but easy to execute.
sometimes players find exploits, that are harder than the intended solution.
so leaving them in, may be exeptable ?
but this is all a matter of opinion.
you can be flexible, with the order the player solves a map.
but they should not be able to bypass a puzzle or leave without using all equipment.
eg every cube, faithplate, gel etc.
& use them as intended.
to help you & the player know if this happens.
a video walkthrough, attatched to this page, would help.
then on finnishing, they could watch, to see if they did it as intended & leave comments.
so you would know they either solved as intended or what they did different.
then you could fix it.
hope this helps

Nice easy map. To avoid to recover the 3 redirection cubes, it sould be nice to install a fizzler between the two first rooms.

Just push the button that deactivates the laser barrier to the "cube room" and grab any cube. Bring it back to the room with the column in the center and put it in the receptacle that opens the door to the little room in the column with the button. Push that button grab the cube and put it in the receptacle that opens the big door to the water room. Leave a portal behind the cube and put another in the hallway in the water room, grab the cube and put in the receptacle that starts the orange gel. Cover the runway with orange gel and then put the cube in the blue gel receptacle so it goes onto the end of the runway. Grab the cube and run and jump to the exit area. (You don't need to remove the middle cube to raise the inclined panel.) Put the cube in the receptacle that unlocks the exit and walk out.

Nice easy map, well made and sufficiently lit. You only need one laser cube from the back room to solve the map. You don't need the ball, the other two laser cubes or the timed stairs since you don't need the regular cube either. Read the next post. Thanks for your efforts.

"Made solved"? Expat, you dolt.

Don't know if it was your intention, but I just grabbed all the laser cubes from the first puzzle room and took them with me. Made solved the second puzzle a snap. Enjoyed it, in any case, thanks for creating.
