Mathieu, here is the ZR1 Template [drive.google.com] and a region [drive.google.com] file This mod is the ZR1 Corvette with the addition of the original RF2 pace car light bar and added headlight and tail light strobes. To setup your own pace car skin would require copying this mod, repackaging a new rfcmp with your skin and edited .veh file. Then using a custom rfm to point to the .veh file when packaging a rfmod, see comments below.

Edit the .rfm using notepad. In an explorer window, right click on the file and select Open with... If it asks, choose search through windows. Then choose Notepad. When you are done with the edit, File Save and close notepad.

Hope this helps and hopefully Studio 397 will make it much easier to choose the safety car in the new upcoming UI.

Option 2
Use the MAS Utility to extract the All Tracks & Cars_10.rfm file from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\rFm\All Tracks & Cars_10.mas file.
- Open the MAS Utility from the main RF2 dialog screen.
- Drag the All Tracks & Cars_10.mas file into the MAS Utility.
- Right click on the .rfm file and select extract... don't close the MAS Utility.
- Edit the .rfm you just extracted using notepad, make sure "SafetyCar = CorvettePCLights.veh" is set in the file and save it.
- Next, drag and drop the .rfm file back into the All Tracks & Cars_10.mas in the MAS Utility. -
- Finally, in the utility, choose File menu -> save. Now you can close the utility.
- The HHRL pace car should now be the default pace car.

The only issue I've found with this method is if you are subscribed to one of the other corvette pace cars it may use it instead of this one. If you are not subscribed to any of the other corvette pace cars then it should work ok, it does for me.

Option 1
- Use this Creating Custom RaceEvents guide to create a custom race event for single player, also works for multiplayer:
- When you click the customize check box make sure the .rfm file you select has "SafetyCar = CorvettePCLights.veh" in the file (edit the .rfm using notepad)
- When adding your race vehicles to the package include the HHRL Pace Car.

Then follow this guide Using "RaceEvents" to Set Up a Single-Player Series on how to select the custom race event you created. The HHRL pace car will be the safety car for that event.

There are a couple options for setting up this pace car for single-player. The first one I find the easiest for packing a vmod for multiplayer (hosting a server). This will also work for single-player but you'll need to create a custom event each time you want to use the pace car. The second takes a bit more work, however you won't have to make a single-player custom race event each time. Sorry, I have to break these down into multiple posts due to Steam's post length restriction.
