Installing/Operating based on Handling skill. Turn off Doctor in the priority tab for everyone except for your handler then make him perform surgery. Go to the ludeon forum for more info. I got it to work this way.

I won't claim to understand how this or animal armor work, but when I put animal armor on a grizzly bear, it gives the pawn animal handling experience. When I try to armor up a megafauna, it says skill too low.

My doctor doesn't have good handling, and my handler doesn't have good doctoring, so I cannot cross reference well at that point, but I have armored grizzlies, and not megafauna yet.

Huh, what other mods do you have installed...? Does it not allow you to manually initiate the operation by right clicking on the animal? If so, does it tell you anything like that the chosen pawn's skills aren't good enough for that?

Yeah, I am, that's just the way Animal Armour as a mod works - it basically replaces the entire body of an animal with a new one, that has the armour as a part of it :^)

I am trying to instal it on an Entelodont. I have Regular Medicine and an available animal bed. The animal goes to sleep in the bed when the surgery is pending, but my colonist will not perform the surgery.

Thanks for this. Are you aware of the fact that installing animal armor completely heals any scars and missing limbs on animals? If you have bionics installed it returns those while fixing the animal :P

Do you have medication? Free animal beds/sleeping spots? What animal are you trying to install it on?

My Animal Trainer has skill in Animals but he won't install the armour. I have a bill in the Operations tab to install but I can't force him to do the "operation", even though he is assigned to be a doctor (Skill 0) and animals. Am I missing something?

The same as they are for installing the huge version of armour on any other animal, which is 11 in Animals iirc.

What are the skills required to install on Megafauna?
