hey Street can you fix this bug from this mod? Everytime i start a new game cant produce anything atm

After not having played Civ V in about 5 years, this mod randomly popped into my brain. I come to check if it's still working, and lo and behold it's been updated! Now I know where I'm spending my next eight hours :)

So yeah for now I took your Luboric and Aetherium icons to add these two as new Strategic resources, in addition to old Aluminium and Uranium. Aluminium and Aetherium will have a complementary use during the Steampunk Era, one for airships, the other for light armoured units, and Uranium will appear later when time comes to nuke your AI emperor mates.

While I love the idea of steampunk, I also enjoy linear timelines. Starting the game with a bazooka unite and having barbarians all have bazooka unites during the stoneage is... broken and unfortunate.
Also am not a fan that the game crashes if/when I try to apply other mods which alter eras and technologies. But that's just me.

Yeah this mod doesn't work anymore. I've tried all the workarounds but you can't produce anything in cities.

I noticed that when starting a game and settle my capital, i'm unable to choose the building tab, so that i can choose what to build with the city. What works is, saving, exiting the game and then re-loading the save, and i can build normally.

Okay. But end of tech tree its stuff with Robots and so on, so it doesnt feet with steampunk. Steampunk its alternative unverse, actually.

The reason for this mod, and the remade versions on Brave new world is to play the normal game with different civs and replace the end of the tech tree with steam punk themed goodies based of (And using assessts from) the steampunk scenario made by Firaxis.

Sounds like one of the many bugs when trying to play this version of the mod on Brave new world. I recommend trying the link from Riso just below in the comments for a Brave new world version of the mod.

This version of the mod hasn't been updated in quite some time so I can't see there being an issue with building from cities unless a patch has changed how it interacts with Gods and Kings.

Good point about dropbox which I already had, didn't realise they just had a feature of making what is effectively a download link.

File is a zip of all the mod data. A majority of the coding is done in the steampunk.xml file in the root of the mod folder with little bits done in some sub folders. Hopefully all is clear to anyone who has modded before.

Feel free to link to a new version of the mod from the comments section here if anyone works on it. I wish I had the time to make a BNW version myself but hopefully someone else can do a good job of it. Heck I will likely even download it and give it a go if someone gets it working for BNW.

Unfortunately my free time since I originally made this mod has gone down a lot. If anyone has a suggestion of where I can put the mod to allow someone else to continue working on it(If anyone else wants to) feel free to suggest it to me and I will gladly upload what I have.

@Chronometer, if you still want to play it you can just disable BNW in the DLC menu. There are some great BNW features but sometimes it's fun to just check out mods xD

This mod CTDs constantly and with no pattern.. Which really, sucks, because this looked really cool. Does anyone have an idea why it keeps crashing?

Try applying it to the BNW expansion and tech tree has some issues. Several of the mods were not from the steam punk era, and they were left in the tree. Alos notice that the starting unit now is not a warrior but its a bazooka men unit. Just pointing these out so they might be fixed in the later version for BNW.

Not sure if anyone else found this issue, I tried to win via science victory and I made all the needed parts but once I put a part into the capital I couldn't add it to the ship (there was no button where there usually would be). The animation did show the "launch pad" of sorts. Not sure where the glitch would be. Perhaps it's because there is no spaceship factory to build? Or there's some kind of script that needs to be fixed to add the "assembly button" so that the ship parts can be put together.

I also was producing science fairly fast but ended up with most of the steam units in the early 1900's instead of in the 1800's which I think tends to be more of the steam punk era. Maybe somewhere in the tech tree you can omit/combine/rework some techs so you can reach the steam punk era sooner.

Other than that, everything worked and looked great! Thanks for the hard work!

Honestly I have no idea, I have also expierenced games with no Luboric, although never had no horses.

I will be having a big overhaul of the mod after the expansion provided I have the time so hopefully I can sort anything like that out.

Playing a random map game, which created a mostly-tundra map (boreal?), but there's no luburic on the map... Also, there aren't any horses. I am using other mods, but none of them mess with resources. Any idea what's happening?
