I love ARK, and would love to do some stuff in Gmod with models. I would use SFM, but I can't figure out the program...
but is awensome ^w^
I'm a Fan of Ark.
watch them on Youtube, I'll give you 6 months.
you can lock the models ilumposition to another model and move that mnodel outside of the map. this allows for 100% custom lighting.
here is a video about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5b5ybtyMS4&list=PLmx5NIR6PO5t2vfHIX6GNkpXiFODM_6KJ
I never figured out how would it be done correctly on organic materials in Source, I will look into it in the near future though.
Also, the model is very bright under map lighting. Is there any way to deal with that?
Its a simple 3 model stack of 34,986 polys, but each stack had 3 divisions to meet the polycount for eac h$model section, so it was not exactly too painful to work on but its a memory killer.
@Voxel
Yuty will take way more time to lay a color map on its feathers.
